Un lieu avec beaucoup de potentiel, mais mal exploité.

L’emplacement était bien, et le personnel gentil.

L’espace pour prendre le petit déjeuner/déjeuner/ diner était réduit du fait d’une salle de sport démesurée qui occupe tout l’espace utilisable. Le mobilier des chambres était usé. L’air conditionné était cependant disponible.

This is the worst "hotel" I've ever stayed in since I started using booking.com.

Nothing. There is literally nothing positive about our experience there.

I paid for 3 nights and left after the 1st, only because I could not leave earlier! The power comes from a generator that is turned on at 7pm and off at 6am. That dictates not only the AC (which didn't work well even at night) and the shower times. There were no hand towels, no bathroom rugs. The room got dirty and full of sand because there was no way to clean our feet before coming in. There is no restaurant. Breakfast was supposed to open at 8am, but was only served at 8:30 which made us late to the Blue Safari. In the eating area there was a drunk having beers and cigarettes... at 8am! Every time I complained to the staff, they simply agreed that it is not a hotel. It looks like the actual business there is the gym and the rooms were just there. No management on site. In summary: This is the worst "hotel" I've ever stayed in since I started using booking.com.

Don’t waste your MONEY.

We had found the hotel on the booking.com app , and from the pictures it looked amazing. Reviews were 50/50 but we decided to give it a try because the beach and the place looked magical. Bungalows on the beach were beautifully immersed by Palm trees, very tropical and relaxing. The beach was unique with crystal water and little stretches of sand even where the water was supposed to be deeper. Very romantic for couples. Alexander and Omar were the only one who actually care about our stay and have been very nice and kind.

Customer service: First thing that went wrong, I had contacted the hotel a few weeks in advance to book the pick up service from the airport on our arrival date, and it was all confirmed. Upon our arrival at Nairobi airport to then catch our connecting flight to Zanzibar, we discovered that no plans have been made for our pick up, as they had forgotten. In order to solve this, I needed to contact one of the staff members (Alexander),luckily I had his private number (previously shared when booking the pick up a few weeks in advance), and made to organise the pick up only a few hours before our arrival in Zanzibar. We also tried contacting the hotel before our arrival to ask for an upgrade of the room that we booked, however, nobody was answering the phone and the messages we had left them on the booking app. Room and bathroom: In regards to the hotel, the place was very beautiful, in particular the beach reminded me of the Maldives (white sand, coconut palm trees etc), and we were staying in bungalows, very connected to nature. However, the room was warn out (water damage on the walls, furniture very old and not renewed, no safe deposit box, mosquito net broken with holes in it, etc). The bathroom smelled of urine and there was no separation between shower and the toilet unit. The back door of the bungalow was closed but could be easily opened from the outside, and it didn’t give any sense of security. Lastly, cracks in the walls led to an abundant presence of insects such as spiders, ants and cockroaches. Internet: Wi-Fi was working very badly or not working at all. Our Suggestion is to get a Tanzanian SIM card so at least you can use a little bit of internet with 5g. General Service: Alexander, Omar and the cat were the only positive things about our experience. However, the rest of the staff were not client-centred and didn’t know how to fix the majority of our problems.

Beachfront. Close to bars and restaurants. Accommodating to same sex couples. Good breakfast by the beach.

For the first day our room lock did not work so there was no way to properly secure valuables. Would be easy for one of the beach boys to walk on to site as very open.

exceeded my expectations in every way. The rooms were beautifully designed, combining modern comforts with a touch of Zanzibari charm. From the comfortable beds to the spacious private balconies or terraces, every detail was carefully thought out to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay. I found myself waking up to stunning views of either the ocean or the hotel's tropical gardens, enhancing the overall experience.

I recently had a wonderful stay at Kinazi Upepo Paje. The hotel's serene location by the beach provided a truly relaxing atmosphere. The staff, especially David, was incredibly helpful and attentive to any issues or concerns I had during my stay. When I expressed the desire for a larger room, David went above and beyond to accommodate my request and upgraded me to a spacious beachfront room. The upgrade made my stay even more enjoyable, allowing me to fully appreciate the breathtaking views of the ocean. I highly recommend Kinazi Upepo Paje for its exceptional service, beautiful location, and commitment to guest satisfaction

Great value for money!

I stayed at the property for 1 night as I had some engagements in Paje. For the money I paid I am absolutely happy, considering that the resort is right on the beach. The bungalow I stayed at was very clean and comfortable, seems that the interior has been recently refreshed.

Kinazi Upepo in Zanzibar is a true gem. From the moment you arrive, you are greeted by friendly staff who go above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. The bungalows themselves are spacious, well-equipped and beautifully decorated, with stunning views of the Indian Ocean. The resort grounds are immaculate, with white sand and palm trees, and a pristine beachfront, perfect for sunbathing and swimming.

Low quality electricity, frige do not work properly. Lights go off so often. No food available for lunch and dinner. Credit card payment was not working or what I have been told.

Very nice view from the bar/Restaurant. Close to the Beach. Long beach line. Good breakfast.

We made reservation for seaview room. First we get no seaview room but the lock in the door was broken so we get better standard room with seaview. Not much information from reception when we arrive. At night when we want to spend time at the Sun beds security ask us to go to room for our safety. No mosquitera in the room. There was some insects in the room, when we tell about it in reception they ask if we dont have in the room spray but there wasn't So they bring it and told us to spray it and go out. We didnt feel to comfortable in this place.

Simple, nice and clean. Superb location

Super friendly staff. Breakfast is at the Nest (another resort couple of minutes away) and delicious. The view from the bed and the 30 seconds away from the beach. We can see the ocean from the bed. Comfortable bed.

The cabins need a little taken care of. Bathroom was not very practical. But the place is clean and more than sufficient. No wifi in the room
