Dichtbij de hoofdstraat van het dorp. Leuke omgeving en vriendelijk personeel. Mochten onze spullen achterlaten voor overnachtingen in Corcovado.

Zwembad was niet erg aantrekkelijk omdat het niet echt schoon was (lagen dode krabben in bijvoorbeeld).

Die Anlage können wir leider nicht weiterempfehlen. Es ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Die Küche ist nicht richtig für 6

Leider gar nichts. Es war eine Notlösung, da unser zuerst gebuchte Unterkunft wegen Verkauf storniert wurde und wir kurzfristig eine neue Unterkunft suchen mussten.

Das Appartement war sehr vollgestellt. Wir waren nur zur zweit. Bei Vollbesetzung mit 6 Personen kann ich mir nicht vorstellen, wo man die Koffer und Klamotten abstellen kann. Das Appartement ist im Dachgeschoss. In der Holzdecke hat die ganze Zeit der Holzwurm gearbeitet, wodurch ein Bett permanent mit feiner staubartigen Holzspähne voll war. Nachts sind durchgängig eine oder mehrere Mäuse über unseren Köpfen rumgerannt und rumgequietscht, so dass wir kaum ein Auge zumachen konnten. Beim Hinweis darauf haben wir nur ein „Es tut mir leid“ bekommen und keine weitere Bemühingen.

Zimmer 3 und 4 sind im Prinzip fensterlos, die vorhandenen Fenster sind zugehängt, weil sie direkt zum Innenhof mit Rezeption gehen. Entsprechend ist auch die Lautstärke im Zimmer.

Great location, comfortable room, friendly staff and much fun activities to do

Hotel is easy to find in an excellent location right on the shore and within walking distance to restaurants and stores. Upon check in we were greeted with friendly and prompt service and received an upgrade to our room at no additional charge. The room fit our family of 5 with a king bed, and bunk bed. There was a fridge and microwave. We also had a/c, fans, warm water and excellent wifi reception throughout the facility. The shore was within steps and we had a wonderful time kayaking through the mangroves and felt safe doing it despite having never done it before. We also biked through town so we could see everything. Both kayaks and bikes were free to hotel guests! All workers were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We were given suggestions of places to go and things to see with a map and verbal directions. It was a beautiful location and I would definitely stay again. Staff is bilingual (English/Spanish).

We only made time for one day, definitely will stay longer next time!

Best location

Best location in town. On the waterfront, quiet and friendly staff. Stayed in a room with outside terrace with cooking facilities. Really enjoyed getting supplies from local supermarket and having a home cooked meal and drinks overlooking the water. The use of free bicycles was great

Exceptional

We had the pleasure to stay one night at the Cabinas Jimenez. The location is great and the view from our room was nice. The Room had all facilties needed and enough space. Staff was super kind and even took care of our luggage, while we were on an excursion! We had a great night and would definitely recommend!

Great views of Golfo Dulce and lovely new dog friends!

We liked the location and the view from our balcony, wonderful. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean and with warm water. We were bit worried about the reviews saying it was loud but it was not at all! Maybe the club was closed, but anyhow there wasn’t any loud music. Indeed the parrots made a or of noise in the morning but for us it was a great experience and a plus. The owner adopted some dogs that were absolutely sweet. “Lucky” accompanied us several times for walks to the beach and to cafes. What a star! There are free bikes and kayaks and we made use of both. Yes, the bikes are not new but this is understandable in this climate. It was nice to bike around and we saw many animals while doing so. You can also spot Scarlet Macaws on the trees next to the hotel. We saw them closer than at any park we visited.

The staff at the reception could coordinate a bit better as sometimes they conflicting information but nothing serious. It’s a nice property.

A superb choice, plain and simple

Well, let me just say that this was the best lodging we've had, out of 8 places during 3 weeks in Costa Rica. The location is unbeatable, on a quiet seafront yet just a shot away from the center and the lively waterfront with great restaurants. The offer of free kayaks and bikes is also great, it really extends your local possibilities (without the bikes, we'd never discover the Platanares beach, probably the nicest one we've seen on the Pacific side). John and his family were super helpful, from advising the local attractions right to recommending the great Corcovado tour. And the room was great, with a comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen and superb balcony overlooking the nice pool and the gulf. If you think of staying in or around Puerto Jiménez, this is the place to choose.

Exceptional

Great hotel with charm, well maintained, strong internet thru extenders. Good location, a short walk to the restaurants and shopping. The free loaner bikes with baskets, a bonus! Wish we had time to kayak. The in-room coffee machines with supplied coffee was a nice way to watch the sunrises while the cold fridges store your sunset beer.

Great relaxing place on the beach.

Staff was so friendly, relaxed, and helpful. They gave lots of advice, directions, and went out of their way to try to book a very last-minute horseback outing for us. There are kayaks and bikes you can take any time you like. Our 3 rooms had refrigerators, coffee makers, microwaves. Two rooms had small kitchens and balconies over the ocean. The hotel is walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores, banks, and souvenirs. It is on a calm bay with a small mangrove a short kayak away. On the edge of town, so quiet but with everything very accessible. Would definitely recommend.

Don't book a standard room

Location great. One nice view but only for 2 people to sit outdoors (unless you book ocean view room) . Free kayaks and bikes were the reason we chose this place and we were able to use them and enjoyed that very much

The rooms are even uglier than the photos! The lighting was shocking and we had to hang clothes around it so we could bear it. Our room was right on the road so I asked if maybe they had another (as had read the owner stating he would upgrade rooms when available)but they only offered us another (same) room near the pool for $40 extra! The place was definitely not full. The ceiling leaked all over my bag and phone, which was on the table. When I showed the receptionist, I was offered a couple towels (again, no room change). The AC also didn't seem to work at first and we had to go a couple times to reception before it would work (apparently it was a known issue) so again wondering why they gave us this room when there were so many others available? You could hear every noise from next door, including snoring. Parking was not onsite but on the public road.

Great experience with the location, the kayaks, and the bikes! so fun for families! Not super nice, but comfortable.

Loved the location! It was minutes walk or ride to the doc for two of our tours! We loved that! We loved the kayaks - so fun! We loved the bikes - so fun! How great to have it included in the price!! So fun!!

The kitty cat. We were not able to sit out on the balcony or the veranda out back without the cat coming and jumping on us. it was very nerve wracking and ruined our ability to relax outside. the cat was aggressive and scratched a couple of us. then the two dogs came running and barking at us as we were riding our bikes which scared me and my kids. The cat was very disturbing to our stay, especially when it would try to come into our room (which it got in a couple of times). It would have been a fantastic experience if it weren’t for the cat. It also would have been nice to have shampoo and conditioner for the showers.

Good location with a great view and very friendly and helpful staff.

Very nice few and location direct at the ocean. We could rent bikes, kayaks, umbrellas, dry bags very easy and fast at the hostel. The staff was very helpful and friendly and gave a lot information about different activities and helped us as well with different bookings.

Our room had only one window to open and was in direction to the reception area. The room had no table or chairs and altogether very less space.

Great place, will recommend to anyone going to Puerto Jimenez

Very pleasant staff. They had a binder with lots of good local information and FAQs which I haven't seen in any other hotels in Costa rica so far. Access to kayaks, bikes was a nice addition. Close to everything in town. Right on the water with an amazing sunrise in the morning! Definitely worth the stay! Wish I was there longer.

A peaceful stay

Great style, friendly staff who offered a free upgrade due to excess space and easy access to the town. Good facilities, fast WiFi.

The lighting in the bedroom was dark. More mood lighting would make sitting in the room at night more comfortable.

Wonderful in every way

The view from our room was very nice, the beach started right under our balcony! We enjoyed cooking on the balcony, looking at the ocean. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was spacious, comfortable and clean. We loved sea kayaking (included!) and, although the pool is small according to canadian standards, it was a nice addition to our stay. The location is wonderful, close to little convenience stores and about a 10 minute walk to nice oceanfront restaurants.

We got a free upgrade to a room with a beautifully. Iew over the beach. Very friendly personnel. Free kayaks to visit the bay ansmd mangroves was a nice plus.
