About this house rental
Nestled in North Topsail Beach, this attractive house for R 5,492 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Welcome to Driftwood Den... your fabulous vacation getaway. Steps from the sound and right across the street is direct beach access. Feast your eyes on the panoramic views from almost every window. Fishing and canoe rentals in your own back yard. The kids can be entertained by the chalkboard wall while you easily unpack using the elevator. Please be patient with the elevator, it is residential so it is much slower than commercial types, wait for the unlock click before trying to open the door and also both doors have to be completely closed after entering and after exiting in order for it to work property. Weight limit is 950 pounds. PLEASE do not let children play on the elevator or ride without supervision. The house features a reverse floor plan with 4 outdoor decks. ***Please note the outdoor hammock swings and the porch swing in the photos are no longer a part of the property because of the rusting chains and guest liability.***** The second floor offers the Primary Suite with a king bed and full bathroom, 1 queen bedroom and one room with two twin beds, shared bathroom between those rooms. The third floor features an open floor plan fully equipped kitchen and living room area and additional bedroom with queen bed and full bathroom. All four bedrooms and the living room include newer flat screen ROKU tvs with Spectrum cable. 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms Maximum Occupancy: 8 people, Great getaway vacation rental, not a party house. Primary guest over the age of 25 welcome It’s a quiet street where most of the neighbors live full time so they appreciate it staying that way & call me when that is not the case. LINENS (bed sheets & bath towels) provided at no extra charge. Bring your own beach towels & equipment. For a normal weekend stay, there are more than enough supplies at the home to not have to immediately buy soaps, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags & detergents, but as the stay lengthens you may need to buy additional items. Central heat and air, ceiling fans. ****NO PETS ALLOWED*** (Right to cancel and apply $500 fee if pets are discovered on property) ***NO SMOKING*** No minimum night stay but cleaning fee stays the same because a professional cleaning crew still has to go in there and clean the same no matter how many days stayed. FEES: Taxes (NC Sales Tax 6.75% and 6% Local Accommodation Tax) Check In: at 4:00 PM Check Out PROMPTLY at : 10:00AM On departure please load and start dishwasher with dirty dishes. Also load and start washing machine with used towels, please use bleach. Do NOT strip beds, cleaning personnel will do that, things go missing when guests do it. Remove all garbage & food from the house and put in outside bins. The cleaning charge is exactly what it cost me to have the home professionally sanitized and to wash the linens...it's not me cleaning it, like other homeowners may choose to do. If for some reason you run into a situation where the home is not cleaned when you arrive, please call me immediately so I can try to make it right. Trash/Recycle days are Wednesdays year round. In addition, during peak season May-October trash ONLY is picked up on Saturday too. Please put trash bins by the main road the night before so they can be picked up the next morning. Please see the refrigerator for complete instructions about the trash and check out procedures. Master Bedroom King with private bath 2 Bedrooms each having a Queen size bed 1 Bedroom with 2 twin size beds FEATURES: Microwave Hair Dryer Dishwasher Washer/Dryer Cable TV in living room and every bedroom Iron/Ironing board Highchair Potty seat Playpen High Speed Wireless Internet/WIFI Fully equipped kitchen to include toaster, blender, & juicer. Both types of coffee makers to include the k-cup & filter type Crock pot Charcoal Grill **There are no beach chairs or equipment available so please bring your own.** I say this as a disclosure, but you may find some chairs & boards there in the driveway under the home which you are more than welcome to use, but it they tend to go missing, so I can't promise they will be there during your stay. We loved our stay even in the off season! The house was, clean, aesthetically beautiful, great decks for viewing of the sound and even some ocean views. Fully equipped, well maintained. Open, airy and great place to gather with family. Easy beach access across the street to catch the sunrise or for enjoying the beautiful beach. Fun area, great beach town vibes! Communication with the owner was great through the entire process. We will be back!

We came for the weekend to visit with family nearby. The house was beautiful inside and out. The views can't be beat! Loved the beach access right across the street. The house was super clean, beds and furniture were comfortable, and the house was well stocked with everything we needed. Would definitely come back and stay here again!

What a beautiful beach home in a great location with views of the sound and the ocean. This home was VERY well equipped with everything you may need for a short or week long stay. The directions and descriptions were spot on.

I am so glad we chose this beautiful house for our getaway. The elevator was a wonder addition as my sister-in-law is not able to do steps! What a blessing!! The view are lovely and we enjoyed a fabulous sunset!

The house was exactly as advertised. Very clean and conveniently located. The elevator was a bonus to us three women for bringing our bags upstairs. The view was gorgeous and we said more than once what an awesome place this was. We would definitely stay here again.
The only thing lacking for us was a hair dryer. Luckily one of us had brought a small one which we all shared. Also we couldn't locate the outside garbage bin until we discovered it was out at the road.

From start to finish, this place is phenomenal. The ability to just walk a short distance to beach on a busy weekend like Labor Day Weekend was amazing. The space, balconies, mattresses, outside shower, etc. was perfect for 6 of us guys. From start to finish, every single guy said this place is awesome about 5 times a day! My family of 7 adults and 1 child very much enjoyed our stay. For a family as large as us we found the house gave us plenty of space. You only need to cross one road to get to the beach. The beach is never very crowded. There are plenty of near by restaurants. We’ve chosen to stay at this property once a year as it works very well for our family. The property owner has done a wonderful job with communicating guest responsibilities and is very responsive.

We had SUCH a nice stay!! The house was perfect and exactly as advertised. It was extremely clean and well taken care of, all of the furniture was so comfortable including the beds, and it was one of the most relaxing places Ive ever stayed. We didnt cook while we were there but the kitchen was very well stocked if you wanted to do that. And the walk to the beach was a breeze! One girl in our group has some issues walking and she made it with no problems at all. The ramp going up to the beach made it super accessible! Overall we had an absolutely amazing stay, and we hope we can come back for our next girls trip!

We loved our stay! There were decks and great views at every level and you could see the ocean from the front and the inner-coastal from the back. It was an easy walk to the beach with a public access right across the road. Danielle was fabulous and she helped us out tremendously when we left some items in the elevator during departure. We had a great time and can't wait to come again!

We had a wonderful time during our stay at Driftwood Den. Danielle was so communicative and quickly answered any questions! The porch areas were fantastic and we so enjoyed drinking coffee while enjoying quiet morning time outside. (-: Cannot beat the location- right across from the beach! We hope to make this an annual vacation and would love to return again next year. Highly recommend!

We loved staying here. It was very relaxing with a 5-minute walk to the beach or fishing pier on the sound. It is a very safe, quiet residential area. We sat on the decks for hours just hanging out. A new washer had to be delivered while our stay, which was not bother to us. We are glad we could help and meet the owner. It allowed us to see God's hand in why we were drawn to this beach house at this time. We are making plans to come back next year!

This house couldn’t have been in a better location. The views were spectacular, the access to the beach was directly across the street, and the house was perfect. Danielle was an amazing host and very responsive if needed. The beds were comfortable and we had absolutely everything we needed while we were there. This was a comfortable stay for 6 adults and 2 children. We will absolutely consider staying here again next summer.

We had planned to stay here for a busy graduation weekend for my nephew. I hadn’t really planned much beach time. Luckily we had a down day and the public beach access was right across the road! That was a nice treat! I also thought we’d have to drive to surf city for food, but there is a food shack in the public beach access building that had great BBQ sandwiches along with other menu items.
We all agreed that we would stay here again. It was my husband and I, my parents, and my brother with his family (including two kids). The house was the perfect size to fit us all very comfortably!
The elevator was very handy as well. My mom has updated her Christmas list, hoping for an elevator for Christmas this year!

This home was perfect! Very well taken care of and cozy. The beds were very comfortable. The views of the inlet and ocean were 360 degrees! Lots of windows. The beach is a 3-5 minute walk. We love the area, found sharks teeth and sea glass. I think this layout felt open and spacious and the decor was updated and beautiful. Everything we needed was there. Well stocked kitchen. All decks had chairs and seating and they were comfy. We would love to come back soon! Thank you for the hospitality.

We stayed here for a relaxing weekend to visit our Marine who is stationed close by. This beautiful home is clean and well equipped & is across the street from beach access. The beds are so comfortable!! I would definitely recommend this house. We will be back on our next trip to North Topsail.

This spacious home is a gem! Super clean, the kitchen is fully stocked with very nice dishes (actual glasses not old plastic cups) and appliances that work, furniture is so comfortable, decks on bedrooms, an amazing COVERED deck (we sat out there when it was raining and it was so peaceful) the view is spectacular!!! It was one of the best houses we’ve ever stayed at. The owner is available to any and all concerns. We will definitely stay here again.

My wife and i got married at the beach access across the street. My groomsmen and i used this house to get ready at and stay at for the weekend. It was a gorgeous space, amazing location and the neighbors were really cool. Definitely recommend staying here and I would definitely do so again in the future.

It was gorgeous and had tons of space for a large family. The living room/ kitchen area was great for the whole family (7 adults one child). The beach is only a 2 minute walk. Loved the elevator for bringing up suitcases and the shower on the back of the house is great for returning from the beach. The host was great with communication. My family enjoyed themselves so much we already book next year.
