Plan your next getaway in the Western Maryland Mountains at Deep Creek Lake! This spacious home is on almost an acre and features a furnished patio and a gas grill perfect for family cookouts. It is also located within a short drive of various restaurants, a movie theater, a miniature golf course, and a bowling alley. You'll be just five miles north of all Deep Creek Lake activities, sandy swimming beaches, and a boat launch. In the summertime, you can head to the Youghiogheny River for a day of exciting whitewater rafting; then, each winter, enjoy downhill fun at the Wisp Resort, only three miles north. Deep Creek Lake is an all-season destination guaranteed to provide unforgettable memories! Inside, you'll enjoy plenty of living space, a cozy gas fireplace for those chilly mountain nights, a foosball table, and plenty of cabin-like decor. When you enter the front door to the living area, turn right to enter the kitchen and then follow the hallway off of its back right corner to two of the bedrooms. The room straight back has a backyard view and has a shared full en suite bathroom, and the adjacent bedroom has private access to a side deck. If you pass through the kitchen instead of the back sitting area, a staircase in the back right corner of the room leads up to the remaining two bedrooms that share the second full bathroom. Things to Know Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. 4WD/traction is required in winter. There is a 13-night limit on reservations per local regulations, and reservations for more than 13 nights are prohibited and cannot be honored. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. This house was in a great location and we loved the yard that we could sled ride in. It was spacious with the two living rooms and large kitchen. It coukd use some updating, beds were really uncomfortable and upstairs bathroom needs work. Overall a pleasant stay.

The place seem like they didn’t take care of it. Very outdated.
The dishes were dirty. Pots and pans had burnt food stuck in the bottom of the pan. The bed sheets had stains on it. The blankets had stains on it. The pillows were dirty. The one bed had hair on it. My wife had to wash everything up prior to being used.
Now about the place. The weeds are three feet tall in front of the house. Didn’t look like the pictures online. Nothing had been mowed in weeks. No cable on either TV. TVs outdated by 20 years. But you had a VCR. The washer/dryer closet door off track. Dryer does not dry on first time around. Takes three times to dry clothes. Lint trap probably hasn’t been cleaned in months. Back sliding door from Great Room very hard to close. Light bulbs burned out in Great Room. Everything is just outdated.
To sum it all up. The place looks like it hasn't been used in months which is probably why there is a snow shovel and ice melter on the side porch.
We were not happy. There was a lack of response on getting anything take care of. All they did was come out and mowed 2/3s of the way through our stay. Do not recommend it.

House was ok. Things are falling apart. Tvs are old & couldnt watch anything. There is a vhs player…..
So many light switches, looked like they were once labeled, but couldnt read them. There are outlets that dont work. Buttons on the hot tub look so very unsafe to use. Upstairs bathroom as water damage by the shower. Walls have marks & dirty prints on them. Beds…omg the most uncomfortable beds ever. I hurt so bad just from the bed. There looks to be as if there used to be a gate outside, has wires coming out that are inside wires only & they are only electrical taped together!!! Dont touch them! The sliding door to the back yard was so hard to use we had to use the front door. Pictures online of this place made it look so much better. There was a huge beehive on the tv dish outside & our 6yr old was stung on our arrival. I have pics of all these things except the beehive. I rated a 3 because the location was great. Id expect a place for this price to be cleaner, and nicer yard clean up (weeds, falling apart stairs & my 6yr old found nasty beer cans in the yard) considering there is a million dollar house next door.

The good: cute main living area. We enjoyed the gas fireplace and open room. The kitchen is large, and as people who do a lot of cooking, this was a must. Nice location, as well.
The bad: When we arrived, one of the toilets was filled with toilet paper and human waste, but next to it was a fresh roll of toilet paper still in its packaging. Go figure. My goodness, the beds. I was so excited to get back home to my 12-year-old Ikea mattress, because the mattresses at Gravelly Run Lodge made mine seem downright bespoke. Having read other reviews, we all brought our own pillows. The ones provided, like the mattresses, are cheap and dreadfully uncomfortable. A lot of things didn't work quite well - the handle just dropped off the oven one day (we fixed that). The sliding door is still not quite fixed, you have to lift it up to move it. The toilet on the first floor constantly was refilling, so each time we'd have to lift the lid and make sure the flapper was closing properly. And the TV. Come on. Good TVs are not expensive these days. For the amount we paid, this place can afford to get a new TV, fix the door, and replace the mattresses.

My family really enjoyed the property, plenty of parking space when you pull in; also not too hard to find. The location is great, close to everything around. The place was very clean, minus a few dishes that needed rewashed. The rooms are spacious, and I love the space to put clothes for staying a week. The beds weren’t super comfy but not awful. The pillows are really hard, I suggest bringing your own! They provide some hand soap, little bits of dish detergent but if you plan on being there awhile it’s not enough, there’s also no laundry detergent. There’s plenty of towels offered so that’s great! The kitchen is pretty much fully equipped minus a few things! The couches in the one living room are pretty comfy but the sectional is not so much, like past reviews is definitely separates when you sit on it. Overall wonderful experience just minor things that need to be fixed!

The location was great very quiet area, you can hear gravelly run all day and night very peaceful. Got to see a bear and right outback was a fox den with 6 little babies running around. The house does need some updates beds were a little hard, tv in the den is small and outdated would like to have some grill utensils not just plastic. House was very clean and roomy besides that and would really love to stay here again.

The house was perfectly clean and had tons of space but all of the furnishings were extremely outdated and beat up, the couch was falling apart. Don’t try to sit abs have a movie night because the TV is from 1998 and if you don’t own VHS tapes anymore, you’re out of luck. The beds were hard as rocks but again, the rooms were clean. I suggest bringing your own pillows to try to get comfortable. Having the semi fenced yard was helpful with the dog- bring your own gate to close in the open side if you have a wanderer. Would stay again if the owners took some of these reviews under advisement and gave this place a much needed loving facelift. Staying in this home cost too much for this low level of quality.

Just a little bit of investment would make this top notch and have people want to return. . New mattresses and pillows (they were very very uncomfortable, we actually had to go to the store to buy pillows), an updated tv in the family room and a new couch in family room. We fixed the Spanish problem on the tv (as in a previous review) but there is virtually no channels offered. We went over thanksgiving and it was just a chill week and the couch doesn’t “stay together”, you couldn’t sit or lounge on it without it separating or moving across the floor. As for check in. Never got email with code to get in. And WiFi name and password that was emailed and that is on app is not what it actually is. We couldn’t get into house and couldn’t log onto the WiFi from outside to call to get code. Since the cell service is spotty, had to get back in car and drive 5 minutes up the road to get service to call and get our code. Email never came all week. There is a decent cleaning fee that is charged to all guests but the house was not very clean at all when we arrived. There was Spilled dried purple pop or koolaid all over the desk and part of kitchen counter. Dried milk on one table. The Floors were dirty Bathroom downstairs had used bar of soap in it which leads us to believe that it wasn’t cleaned, and we had to clean it.

This home was simply appointed, no frills, but comfortable and sufficient for the 7 of us in our party. Two families easily split up the home so we had private bathrooms and privacy as a family. There were two living rooms which worked nicely as a kids’ space and an adults’ space. Technology in the way of TVs (and the “cable” that was only in Spanish on one tiny tv or only 2 channels on the slightly larger tube tv with vcr) was lacking, however it lead to more family game time which was great. The hot tub was a nice size and pretty clean, though it would get a filmy residue at the water line that I cleaned before daily use. All in all, it was nice enough for the price.

The location is perfect, especially if you rent a boat at the marina. However, we probably would never stay here again due to the terrible beds. Everytime you moved it would squeek and we all woke up sore from the uncomfortable beds. The TV could really use a 21st century upgrade. The hot tub was perfect though! The temperature of the house really fluctuates with the outside temps, but the fireplace definitely helps with this.

Clean, Nice, Getaway
This home was nice for a three day weekend getaway! If I stayed longer, I would want the kitchen to be better stocked with newer pots/pans, silverware, etc. The gas grill outside is very tiny & old. I think adding more patio furniture might help update the look. Overall, a nice experience for the amount of time we were there.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The location can’t be beat. Only a 5 minute drive to the slopes. Close enough that we came home for lunch every day. The house was just fine for us. The TVs are a bit dated and only have a vhs, no DVD player, but we didn’t spend much time watching to anyway. The kitchen has the basics for what you will need to cook, but there are no spices, storage containers, or anything beyond the basics. We enjoyed having the fuseball table and hot tub for fun family time. I’d recommend this house for you to stay in.
