Place was clean,cozy and nice! … only thing is the mattress wasn’t the best it had my dad feeling like the grandpa off Willy wonka and chocolate factory.

Our family stayed at 11 Winding Way from 2/17-2/20/23. Our check out was actually for 2/21/23 but we checked day before.
The best part of the weekend was having my two boys and their family with me, all together. Love my family time. This was my grand kids and my youngest sons girlfriend first time skiing. So much fun was had by all! A couple of us had not been skiing/boarding for 5+ years and couple of us had not been skiing /boarding for 10+ years. So we were looking forward to this mini vacation. Even though it was end of ski season in our area. No one got hurt on slopes. Hooray!!
The home was big, solid and spacious and very clean and no odors or bad smells (all a big plus). The heat worked great. Too good at times. Lol. The water pressure was great and there was an abundance of hot water. Although there is a fine line between extremely hot scalding water and warm/cold water. The winter view was amazing. It was very close to the Wisp resort making travel back and forth very doable. The ski on and ski off was and is always the way we want to go. Unfortunately, mother-nature was not on our side so it was a little more challenging during the trek to the ski on/off slope. Lots of mud. The slopes were typical Maryland skiing experience. The 2 car limit parking area was spacious. Bonus being an end unit too. The Kitchen and dining area was great size and perfect for entertaining. We bought a couple cooking items and left them there for future rentals use.
There are a lot of Maintenance items and couple safety issues that should have been taken care of before our arrival and in my opinion before they rent again. I messaged Vacasa several times especially on the safety concerns we had. received quick generic maybe automated responses that they would reach out to local staff. please contact me for further detail.

Very little! It was not very welcoming the front door window was very dirty, it look run down and smelled musty inside. Front door and and lower level door did not lock, NOT SAFE....

The blinds were missing on the both bedroom sliding doors so you couldn’t dress or undress without the whole parking lot seeing you. The back bedroom had the same issues. So anyone coming up the road could see you. This is a concern if you have small children. The tubs didn’t drain so you had to take showers in inches of water and wait it to drain before the next shower. I would bring your own dishes and pots since most of them have Teflon flaking off which is a concern. Not much of the furnishings have been ungraded since the 80s. They did not have a ice maker and only 3 ice cube trays so bring your own ice and a hair dryer since I did not find one of those either. There was actually a coat rack without any hooks sitting in the corner one bedroom. The location was great but I would rent another townhouse in the development. There is no AC but there were some fans around the place.

The house was wonderful for our 4th of July stay. Didn’t even have to leave cabinbto see the deep creek fire on the mountain firework display. Don’t let the no ac keep you from booking there were fans that definitely helped and at night it gets pretty cool. Only things we found were there was no grill and a few of the pans were unusable due to condition of them. Other than these small things it was a wonderful stay! Great neighborhood very friendly people surrounding you. Nice small back yard to play yard games with family and plenty of sleeping space!

Cute house, just what you need for a ski trip
The place is clean and nice. The stuff in it is kinda old but mostly works. The beds aren't that comfy. And the temperature varies from room to room. But, we had a wonderful time and I would go back. It's right on the mountain, but not right on a trail, so it takes a bit of trudging to get to the slopes, or you can just drive down the hill to the main parking lot at wisp. If you have green hill skiers with you, they won't be able to use it as ski in ski out because the only trail next to the house is a blue. All in all, it was really nice.

Comfortable and Convenient
Although this place not up-to-date on some things around the home, it was still a comfortable getaway and convenient to the many attractions at Deep Creek. The Vacasa rental company was very good about responding to any needs we had. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is because there were a few maintenance problems that could be fixed.

The door on the second floor balcony would not shut all the way, it kept popping back open. Some of the frying pans need to be thrown away, and replaced with new ones. But these are maintenance items only that should be looked into for future guests.

This townhouse has tons of potential! It's a great spot, beautiful complex. Probably a great place to stay in the winter. There's no air-conditioning. So if it's hot, it's not pleasant. It's outdated and the pictures are clearly old. But we enjoyed our stay! Also, may have missed this in the description but there's only 2 parking spots. Great stay in Deep Creek Lake
My party of 6 (four adults and two pre-teens) enjoyed our stay here. The house was very spacious and had everything we needed for a family getaway. I particularly liked the fireplace and open living space. A grocery store is close by so we ended up cooking most of our meals in house. Location is ideal if you're visiting to ski but is also close enough to get to many of the nearby state parks without much driving. Nice restaurants and breweries nearby. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

The unit was very clean and linens provided. Great location, ski in/out. The unit needs some TLC, maintenance and new furnishings. The metal mini blinds are old-beat up and need to be replaced, the upstairs sink faucet at the master bath leaks on counter. TheTeflon pans in the kitchen and toaster are in bad shape and need to be removed. Several of the upright lamps and other table lamp switches do not work. The rear door doesn’t latch. This is really minor stuff and with little effort customers stay would be much enhanced.

This was such a cute place to stay! My friends and i loved the space and it was in a great location. My only 2 complaints would be how uncomfortable the beds were (for those of us that didn’t sleep on air mattresses) and that the sidewalk needed salt, but there wasn’t any provided. Overall very nice place to stay in and we had a great time!

This was such a cute place to stay! My friends and i loved the space and it was in a great location. My only 2 complaints would be how uncomfortable the beds were (for those of us that didn’t sleep on air mattresses) and that the sidewalk needed salt, but there wasn’t any provided. Overall very nice place to stay in and we had a great time!

The pots and pans and set of silverware need to be updated. We needed more forks, the pans had plastic coming off the bottom. A minimal investment of new cookware and place settings and coffee mugs would be appreciated.

Wonderful place to stay
The size and location of this house was absolutely perfect. It was close to both WISP and Deep Creek Lake. It was a quaint house with a charming view from the master bedroom balcony. Within minutes we were at whatever activity we chose for the day. It was fantastic. We will definitely be back.

Improvements needed to this property
The home served our purposes, but there are problems that need to be addressed. For example, the back door to the deck with the grill would not open. Because we wanted to use the grill, I called the management company. The employee forgot to come out one day, but did come out the next day to get the door open. It was obvious that the cleaners could not open the door as well, because charcoal ashes were all over the deck. A window did not open properly, and the upstairs door to the deck (in the main bedroom) had a wide space, allowing bugs to get in. Basically, the home needs these repairs and a few others. I would urge the owner to get a handy person in there to do some work.
The home is spacious, which was nice for our family and a couple friends. We stayed during the summer. AC would have been nice, but the listing said it has no AC. There are a few fans, which made it bearable. People need to know this house is not very close to the lake. It is up a steep, winding road, part of a ski hill. You get a tiny peak of the lake through the backyard trees. The lake only has one public swimming access, at the state park, about 9 miles away. Overall, we had a nice time, but given how much you have to pay for rent and the fees, the home should get some much needed work. When we left we shut that back door again and noticed that it was not openable, so the next guest would have to deal with the same door issue. Guest should not have to deal with this. The management person ran a knife up the side of the door to open it, but it was tricky. Guests should not have to jam a knife up the side of the door to open it. If the door and window issues get fixed, then the home would be a much better experience.

Old and dingy
No matter how well you clean, you can get 30 year old carpet and furniture so clean. There was masking tape on a door, several ripped screens in the window, spider and babies in a web in the laundry room, flooring must have been filthy because the bottoms of our feet were black and had to be washed before going to bed each night, nothing worked right (my husband replaced the deck porch light, trash can pedal didn’t open the lid, blinds in one bedroom were falling off, microwave was sporadic about working, etc)..... I will say that the tubs, sinks and toilets were clean and there was good water pressure - that’s all the positives I can add.
