The property is beautiful and very private. Plenty of space and windows allow for seeing the georgeous yard, sky, and ocean thru the trees. close to nice walking area and lookout bluff(s) to the ocean. At night can hear waves crashing on bluff near by. The House well stocked with everything you need. Owner and property manager were great communicators and kind/easy to deal with. For most of the time, it was just Me and My adult daughter, but plenty of space for a larger family. I would go back any chance I get and highly recommend.

Location couldn’t have been better. Property was picturesque. Had a small issue and the owners, Al and Melinda and property manager Dan were extremely helpful and remedied the issue. Hoping to go back next year.

Our stay at the house in Shell Beach was wonderful in every way - the house itself was clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished and equipped; the location was perfect; the responsiveness of the owners was excellent and the best ever experienced! We would choose this house again in a heartbeat!

We loved the house in Pismo Beach. The property was beautiful, clean and well equipped. The home was in a perfect location for our sight seeing along the California central coast. The grounds were well manicured and we enjoyed ocean views from the yard and nearby bluffs. Owner was very responsive.

We stayed six months and enjoyed everything about this property. Great house, location, access to hiking, beaches. Owners were great to work with. Beautiful manicured garden on top of everything else. We loved it!

This trip and experience was one of a lifetime! This area is so relaxing and this home is just the most perfect spot! We are so thankful for our time here and this home was a huge part of our trip! My family and I are hoping to return soon!

We stayed in this wonderful home for 6 months and recently (sadly) departed. This is a very special home. The location is close to conveniences, but more importantly, this hidden gem is privately tucked down a quiet, tree lined lane. Wow, what a gorgeous, large, manicured yard and ocean view! Huge windows throughout let in lots of light and even mountain views. This home is so comfortable, so well furnished, so well maintained, and so welcoming! Even a sweet little private path down to the ocean. The owners are prompt to questions, friendly, and cooperative. Truly, we can't say enough good about this one-of-a-kind, fabulous home. We will certainly be back.

I stayed in the home from Sept 1-Oct 31. It was an amazing 2 months. The home has a nice open floorplan surrounded by large windows that let in tons of natural light. The living room also faces the water so you can get a beautiful open breeze by opening the slide door. The home is very clean and contemporary but has all your necessary amenities including cable TV, WiFi, etc but also a small office space with printer that prevents clutter in the living space. The home is also very close to the highway on ramp but vert buffered from any street noise at all. I enjoyed exercising on the very well kept lawn during the day and sitting by the fire pit at night. The gardener even would bring us firewood from fallen branches. All in all an amazing place to stay!

Coming from abroad for a work related assignment, we stayed in this beautiful property earlier this spring - and it quickly became our temporary California "home". It is a very spacious, quiet house, with a lot light. It has a beautiful and well-kept garden, and allows a direct glimpse of the Pacific Ocean from the living room. We especially enjoyed the evening walks as the sun was going down. Also, the home is within striking distance of San Luis Obispo, Avila Beach, Hearst Castle, Montana D'Oro State Park etc.
Also, Al and Melinda are very nice, friendly and responsive owners.

This is a very lovely property. It's so peaceful that I was actually able to really rest. I love the layout of the house, the proximity to the beach, and all the yard space. The fish pond is a nice touch as well! Great home!

Al and Melinda were wonderful hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in their home. It is beautiful and very private...a rarity in Shell Beach. The large windows, three patios, a lawn, well manicured gardens and ocean view give this home a great feel. Plus, the layout makes this home perfect a couple, friends or a family. The home was well appointed with everything we needed for our vacation. We loved the private-access bluff over the ocean. Talk about a beautiful place to watch the sunset! We saw seals, otters, and pelicans just about every day. Shell beach is the perfect launch site for all of your adventures, included nearby beaches and wineries. We would absolutely rent this home again!

Al and his wife Melinda have a beautiful home and they were right on top of anything we needed during our stay. They literally saved our vacation when another home fell through at the last minute. Their home was clean, tidy and fully stocked. Great views of the ocean and very peaceful. Highly recommended this house to anybody!
