apt style good for the price.
kitchen was infested with bugs.

Nice pool. Good location.
It felt quite dirty. Also I was not filled with confidence when I got home from a friend’s house for dinner and the locks were being changed…

pool area and balcony were nice
we arrived earlier than check in and wanted to drop off our luggage. No response to ringing the reception bell or phone number posted at the entrance. Most uncomfortable living room and balcony seats. A few pillows or foam on the “metal couch” would do the trick. Could have used a couple more pillows on the bed. Hotel situated on a hill that while not very steep is still difficult for someone with mobility issues. Also very dark from main road to hotel after hours and needed to turn on flash light.

pool and how close to the city center is
the AC was a bit too loud when it was turned

Neighbours were noisy. Other than that, it was really nice.

great location and value, great pool
Floors could have been a bit cleaner, no night table or night stand, chair or place to sit in room. I didn't know where the big pool was - a short tour would have been nice.

nice location on Gringo Hill far enough away from the noise of the center. only a few blocks to the beach & lots of restaurants. cute studio with nice bathroom, living room, tiny kitchen & bedroom.
lots of stairs!

Liked the location and rustic charm. Antonio was a great and accommodating host. The size of the suite was impressive. The view was also great.
There were a few tired or broken things that could have been repaired or replaced. The noise from the street and adjacent properties was overbearing at times, no fault of Vista Villas. The chairs and couch could use some cushions.

pool
the rooms are getting old and the appliances are poor and there are ants in the kitchen

Close to main town square. Great view of ocean from deck. Friendly staff.
Could have been a little cleaner when we checked in , ie: top of fridge, stove.

- Location was central although because it is up the hill anyone with mobility issues should choose another location
- size and layout of the unit was good
- The kitchen was poorly stocked, no kettle, one glass.
- The gas stove did not work
- The quality of the furnishings was poor and uncomfortable to sit on.
- the wifi in our room was weak but did work

The property is in a great location to downtown and the beach. Only a short walk up a hill (or 38 stairs on the shortcut). Staff were very responsive to issues we had. Beautiful views from the large pool, but it's at the property next door- grab your towels at reception on your way out.
The pictures and description are a bit misleading. We had a queen room with ocean view, included a kitchenette. What wasn't obvious, or maybe I just missed it, is that the kitchenette is shared with two other rooms. It was originally an apartment with three bedrooms. This wasn't a huge problem for us since we were eating out, but if you aren't expecting, or used to it, it might be for you. The balcony is also shared with the other units. I'm not sure if all the room are the same.

Overall it was an OK experience. Cleaning lady and maintenance guy are very friendly compared to the manager. The location and the larger pool (which is detached to the property) where nice.
The original post does not mention that the unit is shared. They have split each room in the apartment. While the kitchen, living room and balcony are shared with other guests. Once we arrived at our room we realized the walls were stained (room and bathroom). When we brought this up the manager with somewhat of an attitude told us that it wasn't their priority. The only access stairs to the apartment always seemed to be wet which I in my 30s almost slipped multiple times. The shower doors didn't not close properly and the bathroom floor was constantly wet, seemed like there was a leak there too. Also we found mold around the ceiling in the bathroom. They only painted the stains on the wall but did not address shower leak or mold. Apparently the couple sharing the room next to us made a noise complaint for us having music playing from our cellphones at 11pm.

I loved the character of this place. Felt very authentic. Things were outdated but in the best way possible. After my time was up in that room I moved to the King Suite with a private pool overlooking the ocean, it was amazing
The first room I was in did not have a very comfortable bed. And the faucet on the bathroom sink was loose, so sometimes water would splash down under the counter. And the shower could have been cleaner.

Great location to town, fast wifi, hot shower & great water pressure! the villa is dated, but it is still quite lovely especially for the price & it is CLEAN - which is very important to me, personally. you can tell that there is still effort put into making what is already there work. great views & just peaceful. awesome for a quiet night away from the lively center of town.
the bed was hard. it wasn’t an issue for one night or maybe for someone else, but even then, that still wouldn’t deter me from booking again. a thicker blanket on top of the bed sheet would be great, as well. the villa is up a hill, so be prepared for the walk as well!

The room was spacious, the balcony was nice, had working AC in the room, and the staff was nice
The door going into the balcony was broken, so I got locked out, musing mechanism to unlock from the outside.

nice vice toward beach. very quite.
the steep walks to get there, but I guess it is part of the fun.
