This villa is all that it says in the listing. Situated on high ground, it has a wonderful view of the Indian Ocean, and the sunset on a good day is magnificent. Villa was nicely cleaned everyday, and Komang the housekeeper and cook did the laundry very professionally everyday - just leave it in the laundry basket in the morning, and it comes back washed, dried and folded by the evening. She is also an excellent cook, who will prepared the meals accoriding to our needs - always delicious. And specifically for breakfast, she was on-hand early in the morning to prepare our breakfasts individually as we each came out from our rooms. Ketut is an excellent driver, who worked tirelessly to bring us wherever we wanted. He also gave excellent recommendations on where to go, in addition to what we already planned. Rooms were great, spacious, and well furnished. The master bedroom in particular was lovely - I guess that's the plus of staying in a villa that the owners designed for their own vacations!

When I booked the villa for a family holiday with our 3 adult children and their partners and our 15 month old grandson it had many features I was looking for (private pool, 4 bedrooms with ensuite etc) but I was blown away by the added extras that I discovered while communicating with the owner before arriving (pick up and drop off at airport, cot, high chair and car seat etc). The unexpected extras just kept coming when we arrived. Komang, Kutut and Purtoo anticipated our needs and responded to our requests with a smile. Nothing was a problem for them and they made our stay sensational. Komang cooked us spectacular meals on request and Kutut drove us wherever we wanted. I can absolutely recommend this villa to a group or family. We had a family trip of a lifetime (although I hope we can do it again 😀)

The villa is beautiful, very clean, spacious, the pool is awesome, it's a very open and airy layout. Extremely relaxing vibe! Komang and Ketut do an EXCELLENT job caring for you as well as the villa. They make the experience in Bali Extraordinary. Komang prepared delicious meals, whatever was asked was made to order and she had many suggestions. She prepared a birthday seafood feast that was out of this world delicious. Most times we preferred eating in than out because her food is so much better. Ketut was extremely professional, accommodating, he took us wherever we wanted to go at whatever time, he had great suggestions on clubs and places to go. He kept us safe, always looking out for us, even when converting money. Hands down the villa is beautiful, the experience with the care you receive from Komang and Ketut is the real treat! The owners were equally amazing and accommodating. We arrived a day early due to the world cup happening at the time and Ulla accommodated us with no issues. The communication was fantastic, everything was seamless. We truly had the times of our lives at the villa and in Bali. We definitely will be returning to the villa. 4 bedrooms, with private bathrooms, the master suite is stunning, ac throughout, plenty of lounging and dining areas. We took advantage of the massage room and had several couples massages. The pool was comfortable and clean. The entry way was gorgeous. Fully stocked kitchen. Beautiful and clean throughout. I can't see staying anywhere else! 5 stars all the way.

Our stay at the villa was one of the most enjoyable travel experiences I have had in a long time. The villa is spacious and has the conveniences of a modern luxury hotel property with the charm of a home. The most delightful aspect of its design stems from the fact that it is airy and full of natural light. Delightfully, it comes with a pool table and a massage room. The outdoor swimming pool is a real treat. As you stand on one side, you see fields of green and, eventually the ocean. Bedrooms are spacious, and the kitchen is fully fitted. But the best bit is the staff. Komang, the housekeeper, is hospitable and a great cook with a happy and ever-helpful attitude! The villa car (a comfortable Toyota Innova) and its driver Ketut make all the difference. Komang arranged an excellent massage for us all, thoroughly enjoyable and genuinely Balinese Villa Humlebjerg is where I would stay on my future trips to Bali.

We enjoyed a post-Covid family reunion at this spacious villa for a week in July. Magnificient sunset and ocean views with plenty of areas for a family to relax. Komang and Ketut were always willing to assist us and really made our stay enjoyable.

The villa has amazing furnishings and is very luxurious. The best feature is this rental, however, was access to the chef (Komang) and driver (Ketut). They made my stay well worth it. They are both very warm and welcoming. I enjoyed getting to know them and they made me feel at home. When I return, I’ll definitely be staying here again.

This property not only is beautiful, it’s so comfortable. The staff is the most wonderful people We have ever had the pleasure to be with. Each morning a beautiful breakfast was served and We were treated like family. You ask and Ketut and Komang made sure it happened. We can’t wait to go back again. The villa was very well maintained and we could not ask for much more during our stay here. Komang was an amazing hostess and I would recommend her cooking to the fussiest guests... Every meal was great. The villa is a short travel from the Ayana Resort and Ketut was more than happy to drive us anywhere we wished to go. Komang arranged for every request we had to be met; and we were pretty much just pampered through-out the whole visit. There were some issues with air-conditioning in the Rec-Room; so playing billiards tended to be a sweaty episode; but we did play often regardless of this set-back. We would definitely recommend a stay at this villa and would gladly return for another visit.

We had an absolutely fantastic time at this incredible villa. The villa was exceptionally spacious and was kept spotlessly clean It had all the amenities you could wish for and then some. The pool was gorgeous after a long day sightseeing and the massage room, which we utilised a lot, was just perfect. What made this villa so special was Ketut and Komang the house-staff. They were very attentive but not intrusive. Ketut was very knowledgeable about the area and brought us wherever we wanted to visit, his recommendations were greatly received, then waited for us to bring us back to the villa. Komang cooked most of our meals and I can without doubt they were “out of this world” from her chicken satay to her spring rolls absolutely delicious. Komang helped us organise the masseuses, organised a tailor to measure for some clothing and accompany us to the fish market to choose the best sea food. Villa Humlebjerg is, without a doubt, the best place we have stayed, without exception. Styled to perfection, the villa feels modern and spacious, whilst retaining separate areas to accommodate the differing needs of the parties staying; the well considered layout lends its to large groups. The service from Komang and Ketut was unbelievable; they were astute at providing a warm and an attentive presence whilst remaining discreet. I did not lift a finger for the entire stay, leaving us free to fully relax, confident that our every need was being met. Ketut provided an invaluable service, chauffeuring us and offering local advice and information. Komang’s cooking was fantastic and her hard work behind the scenes is evident by the cleanliness of the villa and its seamless running and day to day management. Greated at the airport after a very long journey by a smiling face & bottles of cold water for the short journey to the Villa. The Villa is beautiful, large & open and not in the busy noisy area but close enough shops etc. Had a few problems with the TV turning off (Ketut on hand to help with this) but to be honest only youngest kids wanted the TV rest of us didn't want the TV on as Ketut took us to lots of places & just sitting around the Villa was lovely. Ketut & Komang are the absolute icing on the cake in this home. Komang's cooking is fantastic & she looks after the villa too. Very clean & the washing smells lovely & comes back pressed & folded. Ketut has so much information & ideas on where to go and took us to places we didn't even know about. The best thing about this couple is that they are such lovely gentle people always smiling and willing to help. Ketut helped us understand their culture & religion (we had lots of questions) & we will miss them now we are home they really do become your friends. Anyone looking to visit Bali should stay in this Villa it is a real all round package beatiful Villa fantastic staff.

We lived in the Villa Humlebjerg a part of our holiday in Bali and it was absolutely the best place we stayed, during our holiday in Bali. The villa was really fantastic, clean and with a lot of space. It has a great view and a very nice pool, we loved it, for the first moment. The housekeepers Komang and Ketut was really warm and nice poeple, Ketut drove us, to all the beautiful places we would like to experience and Komang served us with fantastic food in the morning and the evening. The best food ever! Our daughter had a very nice time with Ketut and Komang´s daughter, they could play for hours. None of us (we are a family at 5 persons) would end the holiday and it is not the last time we lived in this dream house. We can highly recommend this amazing and luxurious villa. A great thanks to Ulla and her husband Peter for letting us borrow your lovely villa.

Bottom line is that this is by far one of the most luxurious villas on Bali. I was overwhelmed with attention from Kumang and Katut , which made our stay close to what you would call a dream vacation. We were definitely pampered and was very impressed with the attention they gave to us and our children. We had our 4 month old and a 2 year old with us during our stay which Kumang unexpectingly was able to watch over them while we relaxed and enjoyed the amenities during the day time. The ocean views were amazing and the pool was great. Kumang is a great Chef and we enjoyed every meal. We didn't get to do everything we wanted to do in Bali because we ended up spending most of our time at the Villa getting pampered from the immediate staff. It was definitely a lovely Oasis. I highly recommend this Villa, especially if you have children.

Our family of six stayed at the Villa. It was an amazing 3 level open air Villa with sunset views! All of our travel was stress free as Komang and Ketut cared for all of our needs, a very warm and welcoming people!! Ketut, helped us plan our agenda for seeing the island. He drove us around the busy and chaotic streets of Bali with much patience. I personally like the freedoms of walking/running around where I stay, the Villa is not ideal that, not safe. Maybe a treadmill in a room would be nice. Komang is a superb cook! Better then the meals we eat out. She is more then willing to cook anything you like. Enjoyed trying all the fruits of the island that only grow in southeast Asia! The pool table room was great for games and playing pool and unwinding from the day. Thank you for a great first time to Bali. Your home is beautiful!!

It's not often my husband and I get to spend a worry-free week. It was with our stay at the villa that we were able to have that kind of memorable experience over our 10 year wedding anniversary. Ketut and Komang were the perfect hosts. Upon arrival, Ketut greeted us with a warm smile. He always made himself available whenever we needed a ride to/from the villa, and always found us before we spotted him at the end of walking around a temple or finishing up some shopping. That made me feel at ease. Komang's cooking was absolutely phenomenal. In fact, we ate out a handful of times and felt that eating at the villa was way better. The villa itself is beautiful and comfortable. We stayed in the master bedroom since it was just the two of us, and although it was very hot in Bali, the a/c unit kept the room surprisingly cool. Everything was impeccably clean. The internet was slow and unstable, but it wasn't too much of an inconvenience since we mostly read or swam in the pool to cool off. The location of the villa is pretty ideal in terms of proximity to attractions. Although there is nothing within walking distance, we never felt that we were far from anything. Ketut really bridged that gap nicely. We also felt very safe the entire time we were there. Having never been to Bali before, Ketut and Komang made a huge difference in our experience. We felt well taken care of which allowed us to focus on just having fun and relaxing rather than worrying about coordinating details.

Humlebjerg Villa was like a home away from home for our first visit to Bali. The villa was beautiful, incredibly comfortable and spacious. Housekeepers, Ketut and Komang were amazing and ensured we had everything we needed. Komang is an outstanding cook and was very happy to cook lunches and dinners for us - we could pick our favourite Balinese recipes or leave it to Komang and it was the best food we had in Bali. We also had our 13 month old baby with us and the villa is very well set up for children with a cot, change table, toys, high chair and car seat. Komang is fabulous with children too! Nothing was too much trouble so it was very relaxing to organise a massage (twice!) at the villa and it was also really convenient (and cost effective) to have Wendy, the tailor, come to the villa to measure up for clothes. The view was incredible, particularly at sunset from the pool. Ketut was always really happy to accommodate whatever we wanted to do and wherever we wanted to go. There are really no negatives to Villa Humlebjerg and we'll definitely be returning.

As a group of couples, Villa Humlebjerg offered us outstanding luxury accommodation, excellent facilites and a wonderful holiday experience in Bali. Location high on the hill afforded spectacular views to the West and sunset over the ocean was a special sight each evening from the pool deck. Pool was clean and refreshing in the high humidity, and towels were readily available. Our beds were so comfortable, king size with white crisp linen. (also 1 set of twin beds) Air con worked perfectly at night, no noise assured a good nights sleep. Ensuites were large with all shower products supplied: hairdryers also. Villa was immaculately clean and well cared for. Our villa managers Ketut and his wife Komang were outstanding in their care and attention to detail. Ketut met us at the airport with no dramas. He was available to drive us anywhere we decided to sightsee. He had good local knowledge and was always willing to assist with any questions we had. Komang ran the villa and was an exceptional chef; her food was fresh, delicious and bountiful. Of special note was the seafood feast and the Rendang Curry, both amazing. We ate most meals in the villa as the cost was very reasonable and we were assured of perfectly prepared and cooked food. Table presentation was professional and a pleasure to see. Villa was secure and safe, private and relaxing. Booking through the owner was easy and emails were promptly replied to. I would highly recommend this villa as a wonderful environment to enjoy while staying in Bali.

What a wonderfull place is this! Villa Humlebjerg is everything it says on the website and more. We were here for 5 days with 8 persons. Especially the staf made our stay a good start for our holiday. The villa was more than we expected. The breakfast was very good, with all the fresh fruit. Also the cooking was great. The food was delicious. Further Ketut was a very good guide as well. We can really recommend The Villa and are looking forward to coming back one day! I have been going to Bali for the last 16 and have never stayed in a better villa. Villa Humblebjerg is amazing, with plenty of room to lounge around, play, eat and beautiful comfortable bedrooms. The staff, Komang and Ketut, really make a big difference to the holiday as they are always around when you need them but nowhere to be seen when you are settled. Their service, kindness and professionalism really is something to boast about! The position is really convenient for a surfing family like ours as it is within 15 minutes of the best breaks such as Uluwatu, Padang Padang, Impossibles etc. it is also a really good spot for kids as mine (3 and 5 years old) love going to the very quiet waterpark at dreamlands which is 5 minutes from the villa. Jimbaran beach, 15 minutes away, is the best beach for kids their age as it is more often than not a lagoon and has rock pools at low tide. It is also home to Sundara (four seasons beach club) which you can be a daily guest of for a minimum spend of £40. They have a pool that overlooks the beach, great food, drinks, music and a kids club.... Heaven. We are looking forward to returning to villa Humblebjerg next year and thank you Ulla for all your help in booking and your prompt replies whenever we contacted you!

There are many Bali villas to choose from, and right now you're probably scouring the Internet comparing options. Let me give you three reasons why you need scavenge no longer -- this is THE place for you: 1. Ketut and Komang. These two are your onsite staff, and the most integral part of your vacation's success. Ketut is your driver. He zipped us all around the island, provided perfect restaurant / beach / adventure recommendations, and kept us safe. Komang is your cook / cleaner. She prepared better food than we ate at any restaurant, and ensured we were always comfortable. An example... Komang overheard us saying our five year-old's birthday was a week away, and so on our last night she baked him a cake from scratch (without us even asking). Not only that, because mango was his favorite food, she found a way to pulverize ripe mango and whip it into the batter. Amazing. Our son was THRILLED. They are the warmest, most genuine people I have ever met in my global travels -- and they are leagues better than the staff at other villas (based on other travelers we met and befriended in Bali). The Villa Humlebjerg guest book at the property is packed with dozens of reviews and every one praises Ketut and Komang -- do not underestimate the importance of great staff in making your vacation a success. 2. The property itself. Four huge bedrooms in immaculate condition. The master bedroom is enormous with a great soaker tub. The pool is pristine and temperate. And importantly, there are common areas inside where your family can gather at night. While there are fewer mosquitos here than we encountered across the rest of Bali (altitude and breeze are good defenses), it's great to be able to tuck in without having to disperse to bedrooms. 3. The location. You can't walk to a beach, but with Ketut at the wheel you are 20 minutes to Padang Padang, 25 minutes to Nusa Dua, 30 minutes to Seminyak, etc. So, rather than being stuck with one option, you can get anywhere you want quickly and safely. And FWIW, let Ketut take you on a day trip to the Kintamani volcano, the coffee plantations and the monkey forest -- what a great adventure. We can't thank Villa Humlebjerg enough -- our trip memories will last a lifetime. Ulla (the owner) is responsive and helpful. The property is perfect. And Ketut and Komang and family are remarkable people; the best there is. Thank you all.

This villa blew our minds! It was hard to grasp the size and beauty of this place from the pictures.The location is prime and away from the loud streets, the pool with the elongated view was breath taking - such a great escape and perfect holiday to hang out with family + friends. The villa is homely and comfortable - we felt relaxed and at home here. Nothing too precious but still beautiful interior. The one thing we loved the most and truly completed our stay was the lovely Indonesian family that lives at the house - Ketut and Komang are husband and wife who the the ship known as Villa Humlebjerg. Ketut is the logistics man who drives the family car and Komang is the in house chef and her meals are to die for! We had our nephew with us and he loved Ketut & Komang and their kids so much - always in safe hands there. I highly recommend staying at this villa! Super easy to get around, market down the road, local warung near by, beach is close and Ketut is always happy to organise transport. We will definitely be going back! Thanks again.
