amazing view and beach, lovely hosts, peace and quiet

Perfect location 30meters from the beach. It was quite exceptional that even though it was mid August, the beach was not crowded at all. Our kids loved to play with the little stream (not canal) that arrives into the sea just there. Also we loved the fact that the stream estuary moved day by day depending on the wind. The beach is lovely and sandy, with some parts covered by pebbles of all the colours of the rainbow. Rubish and debris are quite common, quite a contrast with the amazing scenery. Nicosio was a great help taking us here and there as we had no car. Keep in mind that without a car you cannot really buy grocery, there is no store in that part of the beach. There is a great pizzeria, but can be a bit boring to eat there every day after a while :) The apartment is quite well equipped, the view is amazing, and the host are really lovely.

The sofa bed was quite uncomfortable. Our two kids didn’t mind but I would have had a bad time if I was to sleep there for a week.

Stunning views, car needed

The views are spectacular, there is a terrace on both sides of the accommodation, internal patio with basketball court and a rooftop terrace with beautiful views of the sunset. The house keeper Nicasio was super nice and very helpful and the owners as well. Vellero restaurant has amazing food and views.

If you don't plan to rent a car this is not the best location as there are no supermarkets near by (not even small ones) and there are only two beach bars with below average food and a pizzeria (which is nice). The nearest town is 20-30 mins on foot, which is not much but when it's 35-40 degrees (which is the case from 7am onwards) without shade it's far from pleasant. Although it's indicated on google there are buses and trains, the train station is almost abandoned and no one knows when the train and if it will pass. As a general rule don't trust google for this part of Sicily, shops and restaurants on the map don't always exist and the ones in real life are not always on google maps.

The apartment is great: big, clean, looks like in the pictures. The host is very friendly. We enjoyed our stay there. We recommend a great place to eat pizza: Disiu officina della pizza (Balestrate).

We know that the host cannot do much about it, but we would like to mention that the Trapetto beach near the location is very dirty. We could not swim there. The good part is that we could use the sunbeds from the location to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The nearest beach where we could swim is Spiaggia orientale di Balestrate.

Nicasio was absolutely great and supportive, helped us with every request. location is amazing, straight on the beach. The apartment is brand new.

The owners are really nice and helpful, the view was amazing, the place was very clean and quiet. It is much more convenient to stay there if you have a car for a couple of days at least. I do recommend the place!

On the whole a pleasant and comfy stay.

Next to the beach. Lovely view of the bay from the room and terrace. Clean and modern apartment with a well equipped kitchen. Nicely laid out and comfy. A couple of beach bars and a restaurant are only a few minutes walk but the few other restaurants are 20+minutes walk away. Pleasant hosts who offered free parking in Palermo for a day trip, and dropped us off near the historic centre. Complimentary book about the history and sights of the island. Within an hour or so drive of many interesting towns and sites, which was good as the town was very quiet.

Whilst there was information in Italian regarding recycling/waste collection, and a list of routes to nearby attractions (in English) there was no other written information regarding the accommodation in any language. No change of towels or bed linen during the two weeks so we had to wash our own etc! It would have been useful for there to be a note of what services were or were not included both in the apartment and also on Booking.com.

Good

Owners are very polite and courteous. The location was great for exploring other close towns. The local beach is great too - a 1 minute walk from the villa. Probably the best perk!!

Not easy to find the place when you arrive. Also there was a very loud party on the roof terrace on our last night which is fine, however we were given no forewarning, so couldn't prepare and get some rest earlier. Please note if you do not speak any Italian you'll find it hard to communicate in person as the owners do not speak English. WiFi connection not the strongest.
