It was wonderful and we will return in the future!!

The hotel is small and very nice. The rooms are open and airy and there are common areas to sit spread around the hotel. The furnishings are new and tasteful. The staff were all helpful. The front desk people were available to answer questions. It is a short walk to the Heaven Restaurant. Their breakfasts had a great selection. Lunch and dinner there was always excellent. The setting is like being in a treehouse. The food was excellent and the servers made dining even more enjoyable. We look forward to returning in the future.

Sleep here but leave during the day and spend your money in a better way.

Location is nice and breakfast is good

The price of the rooms (with booking discount) was oke but not great. All extras tours, food massage etc are extremely overpriced. Quality of food is good but 2-3 times more than around the corner.

My stay was magical.

The breakfast was delicious, served on time, and plentiful. The Heaven restaurant and Boutique hotel looked exactly as shown in the pictures, it was so beautiful. The room is beautiful with artwork highlighting African culture. The restaurant location was great, near Kigali town, it has a serene environment and calm, just what I needed for my vacation. In addition, the hotel already has an itinerary of activities you can do and I participated in some of them and it was worth the money. I had an amazing time, the tour guides were professional and they answered the questions I had. I also had a complimentary massage that was included in my stay which was relaxing and amazing.

Most of my expectations were met. I do not see any further improvements, it's a nice place to be.

Brilliant staff, wonderful location and loved the book A Thousand Hills to Heaven

The staff are exceptional and the best I have ever dealt with as a hotel. So many gave wonderful service and it is very difficult to pick out names. I may add but I dealt with about 20 different staff but I might add the ones I dealt with most. Pool was lovely, the Heaven Restaurant was very relaxing and peaceful. Maybe tea lights would be a lovely touch. Breakfast was amazing and was sufficient to keep me going until the evening. The hot food was hot and only about 20% of hotels manage this. Reuben was patience personified and probably saw you most. Will add lovely staff later

I had asked 4 times by email for a quiet room but they did change. I would ask the hotel to AUTOMATICALLY put service charge on bills and if customers want to add more they can. Staff were exceptional and we would be happy for this to happen. Please have the tee shirts with a capital R for Rwanda. Such a minor point. The important things are been done brilliantly. SUPERSTARS.

Central location, close to shops and restaurants

This is the lower cost option of the 2 hotels. The up-market half is The Retreat. The restaurant is lovely. Good breakfast, and a lovely place for dinner. Use of gym (in The Retreat) & pool.

The hotel is in the lower part of the property which is close to the main road, so a bit noisy. The bathroom was tired, and the room was a bit dark. We had a great experience with assistance buying bus tickets. The front desk was really helpful sorting it out for us. Unfortunately, the front desk failed to organise the requested transport to the bus station the following day and provided no alternative. Although this hotel is the more affordable option, this should not impact the quality of the service it delivers.

The place is all around well kept up and the staff very helpful. Very clean and the restaurant one of the best I have been. Recommended even though check the prices carefully as the charged me two different rates for short stays within a week.

The room size is a bit small but well organized.

Would definitely stay again

The staff were amazing and super friendly. We got a complimentary massage each which was a very nice touch. When we come back to Rwanda we would definitely stay here. Breakfast was also great with a nice little treehouse vibe.

The room was a little small but maybe it was just that certain type of room that we booked.

Overall facilities are nice, but the boutique room was loud, uncomfortable, and dilapidated

Breakfast was amazing (food, staff, and location). Our stay at the boutique included a free 20 min massage which was excellent! The hotel itself is very nice (there are actually 3 different components, we stayed in the boutique side but the other parts are very nice).

Our pillows were very uncomfortable, we both woke up with neck aches. Our bathroom needed some repairs -- the shower door wouldn't close (was broken), and the towel bar was completely broken off the wall. We had a ground floor room (though we reserved one with balcony), it was very loud as it was next to the parking lot and we were woken up multiple times. The room itself was very small. Overall it was fine but definitely felt lower quality than the photos led us to expect.

Good

The breakfast was excellent, so many nice fresh options to choose from! The pool and yoga/zumba classes are a nice addition. Good location in a quiet but central neighbourhood which felt safe.

When asking the reception staff to organize a taxi, they recommended an extremely overpriced driver, instead of a metered taxi. When asking about car rental options, staff recommended their own connection, instead of a verified company.

The restaurants are excellent and the pool area superb. They can also organise various local day tours and provide airport transfers. The location is good and close to the genocide memorial and museum.

Fantastic staff, delicious food, ok rooms.

The staff was exceptional and the food at the restaurant was delicious.

Our first rooms were quite old but spacious. When we returned 2 days later and were put at the retreat, the room was terribly small, the shower was falling apart and the TV didn’t work properly. We were changed for our last night and the room was larger but not ample but ok. The staff were very gracious and tried to help.

Excellent, particularly if you stay at the “retreat”

An excellent property, but you really need to stay at the “retreat“ facility, and not two other companion facilities which they have, which are only average. however even then you can eat at the two restaurants which are both excellent. Breakfasts are superb, and the dinner is even better.

The less expensive facilities are only very average.
