The covered outdoor patio/seating area with bar top is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day at the beach. Edison lights to enhance the atmosphere. Middleton park, just 5 houses from the cottage, has a ball field, tennis courts a skate park and on Monday mornings during the summer months a farmers market is set up with local fruits and vegetables, bakery goods and crafts. Many people are out running, walking and bike riding but there are other activities on Oak Island like golfing, putt putt, kayaking, paddle boarding, surfing, swimming and boating. Another 2 blocks from the house there is the end of the Davis canal where people love to go fishing or crabbing. Drive to Southport, 12 minutes away for great restaurants and shopping or take the ferry to Carolina Beach or Bald Head Island. Wilmington is also a great trip, 45 minutes away, with more shopping and restaurants. Enjoy viewing the deer and all the other wildlife from our deck. We have a little canal across the street and you may see our resident Egret. When you're ready to hit the beach, just go left out of the driveway to 43rd St (4 lots) and turn left and the public beach access is straight ahead. 3 houses. This is NOT Myrtle Beach.
