About this condo rental
Located in Siesta Beach, this lovely condo for R 2,763 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Parrot Beach Cottages Suite #3 Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!' Parrot Beach Cottages on Siesta Key is mere steps - approximately 150 feet - from the beach and the emerald water, situated just behind the waterfront properties and within walking distance of Siesta Key Village. Suite #3 is ideal for up to two adults and two small children, with one king bedroom, one bathroom, a queen-size sleeper sofa, and a kitchenette in its 350 square feet of living space. This cozy suite is located on the second floor at Parrot Beach Cottages, up a flight of approximately 12 steps. It's a small and intimate space, so if you're using the sleeper sofa (which has a thin mattress and is really only suitable for small kids), you'll likely want to stow it during the day to maximize the living room. The bathroom is accessed through the bedroom and is snug in size as well, with a single sink, a toilet, and a stand-up shower (but no bathtub). There's a small shared deck outside with two chairs, a community pool, as well as one reserved, off-street parking spot for your ease and convenience. This suite is mere steps from one of the top white sand beaches in the world. In fact, beach access is so close, you'll hear the waves from home base! This area of the beach is a favorite for sunbathing, swimming, romantic sunset walks, small beach weddings, skim boarding, paddleboarding, kayaking, shore fishing, and much more. Fishermen catch everything from snapper and mackerel to snook and jacks. You'll be within walking distance of a number of businesses that rent all sorts of gear, from kayaks and paddleboards to bikes and video game systems. Due to how close the complex is to the beach, several rental outfitters will bring kayaks, paddleboards, and bikes right to the property and pick them up when you're done! The suite is also within easy walking distance of Siesta Key Village, where you'll find shops, restaurants, live music, and more. Or, head into town for other local adventures, including the world-renowned Ringling Museum, the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, Mote Marine, Jungle Gardens, and outdoor shopping and dining on St. Armands Circle. Things to know: There are three other suites available to rent at the Parrot Beach Cottages fourplex - Suite #1, Suite #2, and Suite #4 Free high-speed WiFi Smoke-free property Small kitchenette (without a dishwasher) *Bedroom is very small, with only a few feet on each side of the bed, no TV, and a very small closet. The sofabed is recommended for children only The suite has limited storage (one small closet) The shower features grab bars Snowbird-friendly Please note that the shared pool is small, about 15 feet by 10 feet and about four to six feet deep The overall property is very small, so there is no extra vehicle or visitor parking. There's also no nearby on-street parking. Guests love the location (truly walking distance to the beach and the village) and the more private feel of the beach, since this is a dead-end road and there is no nearby public parking There is a new home being built on the lot next door. Perfect location to get easily to the beach and walking into town.

It was fine for a short stay. It needs an extra blanket in the unit.

So I was really amazed at how adorable this property was. It was perfect for two adults with a nice king size bed. Very cozy and cute. Not a big place but had everything we needed. I would love to stay and I thought the location was outstanding. Great communication from the owners at Vacasa, and very easy to stay there. I loved it.

Charming suite located two steps from the beach. Easy access upon arrival. Very clean, well kept, comfortable furniture. Everything needed was there. Walking distance from restaurants and stores.

Easy to go back and forth on the beach. Loved the gulf/beach view

Our friends booked a house on Beach Road and asked us to try and find someplace close to them to stay. We were literally right behind there rental and we were so close to the beach. It was just amazing. We had a beautiful view right out of our window!
We had our one parking space just at the bottom of the stairs, so it was just a short walk up to our unit. There are lots of restaurants close by and we used the frog hop to get around when it was raining.

Beautiful cottage with a spectacular view. Location could not have been any better for a last minute getaway. Cottage is less than 100ft from the beach. Pool is small and the water was HOT but we loved it.
Very clean with only small amounts of dust here and there (blinds, kitchen wall next to the stove and under the couch). Kitchen amenities were VERY MINIMAL and the Pull out mattress on the couch was definitely not usable (even for kids) but the listing was clear enough about both that we planned to not do much cooking and we brought an air mattress for our kids which worked out great. Wifi had a very weak signal and only worked well in the living room area. Village was within walking distance so it was wonderful to drive up, park and not move until we left since parking in the area is sparce (but not impossible). All in all we loved our stay and can't wait to go back. Would highly recommend this cottage to anyone!!

This place is a perfect spot for enjoying the beautiful beaches of Siesta Key! It’s just steps from the beach and a short walk into town as
well. The bed was comfortable, the shower was warm, the beach towels provided came in j handy and the kitchen had what we needed for breakfast and lunch. The AC and ceiling fans kept the place cool and comfortable! We highly recommend!

Hi! This property is excellent. The pictures do not do it justice. Once you arrive you can park your vehicle and never move it again. The location has something for everyone. Good food, shopping, DRINKS and the most important part THE BEACH!!!!!!

The location was perfect--the beach on one side, and the village with shops and restaurants on the other. We've been to Siesta Key for the past 3 years, and this was by far our favorite location. The property was very clean and exactly as described.
3.0
The location is perfect, less than two minutes from the beach and five minutes from the village. But everything about the place is cheap, from the sparsely furnished kitchen (almost impossible to cook anything) to the poor linens. It's easiest to think of this place as somewhere to crash while you're spending every waking moment somewhere else.

This beach condo was a perfect size for our small family. It was cozy and beach themed. The location was amazing! It was walking distance to all of the Siesta, Village Shops. Most importantly, it was just steps away from the beach. The distance from the condo to the waterfront was probably a shorter distance than that of the parking lot to the public siesta key beach. The part of siesta key beach that we were near was much less crowded and more enjoyable. We will definitely stay there again.

We arrived at our rental, opened the door and was taken back with the funky musty, mold and meldew smell of the place. There was no parking pass left for us in the unit. Called Vacasa and got the run around that we could write our own pass but no mention of anyone calling the towing company so our vehicle didn't get towed. Left and stayed elsewhere for the night because we were told local staff would bring a pass the next day. Came back and still no parking pass. It took 6 days before we were told that the tow company was instructed not to tow our vehicle. Multiple texts from numerous numbers about our stay but no resolution until after I asked to have the owner call me direct. Sofa was extremely uncomfortable. There was no instructions on how to use multiple remotes for tv and cable. Passive aggressive note posted about a/c not being turned down below 75 degrees or a/c would break/ freeze up and renter would be responsible. Sounds like the unit is on its last leg or needs refrigerate. Multiple broken beach chairs for everyone in the four units to share. Shower curtain needs to be replaced, looks like mold or black stains on it. Water was turned off from midnight to 8am. Next day I received a text at 11:30am explaining that a note should have been posted on our door explaining the boil order. There never was a note or any warning not to drink water or cook with it until after boiling. Blinds in living room would not go up or down. Fan in kitchen rattled whenever the wind kicked up and didn't stop unless we turned it on. I will never rent any property listed with Vacasa rentals again. This property had one thing going for it and that was location. It needs some work and a new property management company. Renters beware...

We thought these would have been a cottage as the title states beach cottages. This is a really old condo building split into 4 units. The location was nice walking distance to beach but that is is. The condo smelled musty and was very damp. The furnace / AC filter was so dirty and never been changed probably. So plan on breathing dirty air the entire time. Was very disappointed overall in this place especially when paying $349 a night. This was our first trip to Siesta Key and will be back just not here.

The location
1.0
Let's start off with the positive. This place location wise is PERFECT, literally steps to the beach and very close to "the village"
This place has potential to be great, the negative: the smell (very old and musty) had to go buy air freshners to even be able to stay here. There was stuff falling off of the ceiling/walls we were having to constantly sweep (black speckled stuff). Moldy blinds, rust and dust on vents. Towels/bedding did not smell good. The bed has a huge dip in the middle of it. We have decided to leave early since we simply are not having the best time and would rather be home. FYI the walls are very thin ans you will hear EVERYTHING the neighbors are doing (yes, exactly what you are thinking) We were attempting on our last day to go out to the beach and our lock on our door would not lock, the key would not go in to lock it. We were stuck just sitting in our room waiting to get ahold of someone. (Contacted the number and it took forever for someone to message back. THANK GOD FOR THE HOUSEKEEPER that was on site who actually attempted to help us and actually resolve the situation. People next door also said they were having trouble getting in as well)
Multiple factors here did not let us sit back and enjoy out vacation. Do not waste your hard earned money here we were super disappointed.

I was exceedingly let down when we arrived, The lockbox appeared shot like it had not worked in years, The stairs were showing too much wear & tear, when we finally got in after 20 minutes & 3 calls later the unit was old, had an off putting odor that I have never smelled before. The exterior was not well kept and the swimming pool must have been photographed with a special lens that made it look 5 times larger than it is. My toyota 4 runner would completely fill the pool. The place was so bad we didn't stay and I'm not a primadonna, I've stayed in tough places and this was unacceptable. The street to the beach is a major road to the beach with people and traffic non stop, even had two police unites there fighting crime within 100 feet of the place. If they paid me the money I paid to stay there, I still wouldn't do it. The lipstick on this pig didn't cut it.

Cute small apartment steps away from a beautiful section of Siesta key beach. The bed was too firm for our liking but that’s just us. You can’t please everyone on a mattress. Nice small pool that no one was ever at during our stay with table, loungers and shade. The cooking supplies were lacking. We had one coffee cup. My huge issue was the AC situation. I saw reviews stating the AC was not cool enough for guests and of course there was a rebuttal from the management about the issue was a one off and rectified. I had concerns and called Vacasa. Vacasa was ? helpful in reaching out to the local property to get answers for me. I specifically asked if they placed a threshold on the thermostat because 70° was too hot for us. We were assured that the AC unit was fully functioning and there was no threshold on the thermostat. I specifically asked if we would be able to turn down to 65. My husband sleeps extremely hot and this is what we keep ours on. I explained if this was a problem, I understood but I needed to cancel. I was assured, we would be able to turn the thermostat to 65 and if there was an issue with the AC, they would rectify it. Fast forward to check in…. A passive aggressive note on thermostat stating do not turn below 75 during the day. The unit would freeze up and not work and you would be responsible for the repair on it. The thermostat had a lock out at 70° I called Vacasa. They were extremely responsive. A local host contacted me and said he would make a phone call to the owner of the unit. I was told that they have a lock out at 70° because that’s all the air conditioning unit can handle. Obviously frustrated because we are unpacked and settled with a weeks worth of food and who wants to spend vacation time searching for a new rental. This is absolutely unacceptable to me as I called and expressed specific concerns, asked, specific and direct questions and was clearly LIED to.

My husband and I were very excited to spend a nice couple of days in this property in a quick get away. What we weren’t told was that it would be surrounded by construction and that our stay would be interrupted by maintenance and updates to the property itself. On day one, a power wash company spent the day washing the entire property. On the day two and three a painting company crew sealed up our windows to paint the outside. Every morning we were waken up with the classic banging, drilling, and beeping of construction at 7am on the lot next to us. I’d like to clarify I appreciate the workers and that this company maintains their properties. What I consider a poor ethical business practices is; to be open to guests when work is being done to the place, not disclose the guests of they conditions they’ll experience, and to not offer refunds if the guest chooses to leave due to poor treatment during the stay. In short, Vacasa will not let you know of the happenings around and to the property that will most likely tarnish your stay. If they don’t tell you that, I am not sure what else they won’t disclose. Communication was quick and easy, but not when I spoke up about our dissatisfaction. We got a PR safe response and that “someone would be looking into it” and nothing else after that. If you’re still browsing through, I say look else where, this isn’t it.

The location was perfect. You are only a few steps away from Siesta Key Beach. There were restaurants and shops within walking distance. The thermostat cannot be set below 70 degrees. We like to sleep with thermostat on 68 degrees. The outside stairs were narrow which made it more challenging to walk up and down them. The section of concrete at the end of the stairs was uneven. I sprained my ankle as I stepped off of the stairs. We enjoyed our stay other than the issue with my ankle.

The condo was cute and location was nice. However when we got there I contacted the property manager stating that we did not have any pillows or blankets for the pull out bed. They contacted the owner who said it’s 90° outside you do not need a blanket. Also the laundry machine was not working and when I addressed that I got no reply.

The location was perfect! A few steps away from the beach and a very short walk to the village. The cottage itself is simply adorable, and feels like a proper beach cottage, it’s cute and charming. The communication with the staff was impeccable. They were quick to respond and very friendly!

The Parrot Beach Cottage #3 is the best location!! Very close to beach, about 75 steps. Very close to the Village. Unit is small but do-able. Our king size bed was very comfortable. Kitchen is small and this year was lacking some essentials. You can walk everywhere!!
