About this house rental
Located in Topsail Beach, this attractive house for R 5,544 per night is a great option for your next trip. Reviews say this place has everything! It’s the perfect home to unwind and connect with loved ones at the coast. This cozy, newly remodeled townhome sleeps 5-6 and is at the south end of Topsail Island at Serenity Point. You’ll be surrounded by the sea, just steps from the private beach access to the ocean, the community pool, and the calm waters of the sound. The home has 2 bedrooms plus a sleeping loft that kids and teens love (3 beds total). There are 2.5 baths, plus a large outdoor shower. This area is loved for its long quiet beaches, tall dunes, magical sunsets, starry nights, thriving nature, great shore fishing, and the gorgeous 2 mile walk around the “Point” or end of the island. Most essentials, beach chairs and gear are supplied so it’s easy to be here! It’s a Sunday to Sunday rental during the summer (less traffic than Saturday’s). I’m the owner and do all the property management and communication to ensure it’s the best vacation. Shared spaces: The living room has two comfortable couches, a desk and plenty of your favorite games. The back deck looks out to dunes, wildlife and sea - relax here with your morning coffee and share evening meals at the spacious outdoor table. At the front of the house, a covered porch with rocking chairs gives you a break in the shade. Sleeping spaces: Upstairs, the master bedroom has a queen bed, the hallway bedroom has a queen bed, and the open loft has a full bed. All beds are new and very comfortable with memory foam. The loft is really perfect for older children who can climb a short ladder. (Not recommended for young children or grandparents). We provide linens for the three beds. We have a pack and play crib (no sheets) and an air mattress. Bathrooms: There are 2.5 bathrooms so three showers total including a large outdoor shower. We provide bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths and kitchen towels (they are sanitized professionally and will be folded, wrapped in plastic, placed on edge of beds). You'll need to bring your own beach towels. Desk spaces: Three desks and fast 5G/2G wifi with boosters throughout the home. Kitchen: Enjoy our all new appliances in the remodeled kitchen and a complete set of cookware and beach house essentials (including a large crab boil pot, indoor electric grill, griddle, large roasting pan, blender, toaster, coffeepot and French press, and a slow cooker). We’ve installed a water purifier and provide reusable water bottles so there’s no need to buy jugs of filtered water. We have ice trays and a countertop ice maker but bring bag ice if you go through lots. Beach gear: We provide beach chairs, a small cooler with ice packs, beach bags, beach wagon, boogie boards, kid beach toys, large beach blanket, corn hole boards, bocce ball, and two sun shade/umbrellas. There are two hoses at front/back of house to rinse off gear, and a hammock for naps. Fun: Plenty fun is to be had a few miles away at Topsail Beach center, from a retro arcade, putt putt and old school skating rink to a traditional NC seafood restaurant (Breezeway), two delis (Cora’s Deli and Larry’s Delique), three ice cream shops, a coffee shop/wine bar (Quarter Moon) and an upscale restaurant with outdoor bar (Beach Shop and Grill). You can rent bikes and ocean rec equipment in town. Streaming: We have two new Vizio smart TVs in bedrooms with streaming apps to log into your personal accounts. We do not have cable or local TV channels. (But you can smartcast to the TV from any app playing in your smartphone or laptop). You are welcome to move either of these lightweight TVs to the living room. Other: This townhome is a part of a two unit duplex, and this unit is side B. No pets or Emotional Support Animals are allowed to stay in or visit this property to keep it allergy free for guests and owners. For security purposes only, there are smart doorbells at the front and back doors, which turn on only when activated. Self checkin and keyless entry via our smart lock makes it easy and safe to access the home. The quiet neighborhood has its own private beach access with stairs. For a handicap-accessible ramp to the ocean, go to public access number 18 just outside our neighborhood. Access to the calm waters of the sound is a equally close to the house (it has handicap-accessible entrance and is great for younger kids). The community pool is just across the street from our house and is open Friday of Memorial Day through early October (tropical storm dependent).

We had a wonderful weekend here. The property manager was very responsive to our questions about the area and property. It's within walking distance of the beach and easy access for kayak/SUP fishing. Neighborhood was lovely and quiet. It was a great weekend away. Would book again.

This is a very nice place to stay to enjoy the beach. The location is great, about halfway between the ocean and the sound, so it’s an easy walk to enjoy either. The neighborhood is great; we were even able to take advantage of the pool even though it was late in the season and a bit chilly. The house was very clean and provided everything you could need for a week. We would definitely stay there again.

We visited Topsail and stayed here for around a week in the middle of September. The location is amazing, located on the southern end of the island. Peaceful, quiet - a great place for our little family to spend some time together and relax. The location had quick access to both the beach and the sound side, giving us both an ocean experience and calmer waters in the sound. Communication was easy and straightforward, home was clean.

We had an amazing, peaceful vacation at this awesome home. It is a short walk to the beach access, directly across from the pool, and the sound is right down the street. The house is just as pictured, very nicely decorated, and fully stocked with everything you could need. The house was also very clean! Thanks for sharing your amazing home with us.

You seriously can’t beat the location, it was so close to the beach & sound and just steps away from the community pool. We loved hanging out on the back deck looking to the ocean. It’s literally the last row of houses on the island. It was so cool to walk from the beach to the tip of the island & around to the sound, especially at night. The beach was beautiful too, so clean & not crowded at all (early June).
Shannon was a dream to book with & so easy to communicate with. All of her food recommendations were delicious & she even gave us some activities to do for rainy days or in case the kids needed to get out of the sun for a little. We will definitely be back someday 😊

We had a wonderful beach getaway. The house was very thoughtfully stocked and had everything we could have needed. The location is perfect, a few houses over to the beach or a few houses the other direction to watch the sunset over the intercoastal waterway. A great place to relax and spend time with loved ones.

One of the best homes we have stayed in at Serenity Point. Very clean and nice. Very well-equipped kitchen. Just across the street from the pool, and close access to both the ocean side and sound side of the island. The property manager checked in with us multiple times to make sure everything was okay. We had a completely lovely stay here.

We go to Topsail a couple of times a year. Serenity Point is our favorite spot, we have rented several of the units and this was one of the nicest ones we have stayed in. The hosts were most accommodating and the condo was well furnished, clean and comfortable. Excellent experience, we will rent this one again!

We visited for a special occasion, and the tastefully decorated property and stunning location at the south end of the island did not disappoint. This is the best appointed rental property I've ever visited, from an extremely well-stocked kitchen to an aromatherapy diffuser in the master! I would return in a heartbeat, in large part because of the attentiveness, hospitality, and kindness of the host.

Had a great weekend. This home is perfectly appointed. Extremely clean. Well stocked kitchen. Great back deck. We loved it. A couple things to weigh in your decision. When you arrive you have to make your bed up so be prepared for that. If you are the type of person that wants the windows and doors open to hear the sounds of the ocean this house has no window screens. It you are a tv person make sure you bring your steamjng sign ins. No cable or local tv. If these are not important to you this house is perfect. We truly enjoy our visit

What a peaceful and beautiful place! The home is quite lovely and very comfortable with many thoughtful touches that invite one to relax and enjoy. The views are stunning! This is our favorite part of the island. The hosts are stellar and responsive. You can tell that they want their guests to have a wonderful experience :)

The unit was spotless and well-equipped, with a good sized outdoor seating area. Plenty of room for two couples. It is perfectly located with only a short walk to the beach access and a short walk to the sound side. We brought our kayak, swimsuits, and clothes and didn’t have to bring much else. Great place to stay!

Wonderful Beach Vacation Spot!
We had a wonderful stay! The house was so close to the beach, community pool, and the sound (which always has calm water and is awesome for little kids!). I was able to enjoy a quiet, almost private beach for my morning walks around the southern tip of Topsail Island, which was lovely. Shannon and Ricardo were fantastic hosts; they were very responsive / quick to respond to all messages, and their home was set up with so many thoughtful touches. Literally everything we needed -- including beach gear, a lovely outdoor shower, a brand new hair dryer as I forgot mine, a brand new pack and play for our 1.5yo, crab tools for our sea food boil, filtered water, board games for rainy days, and headlamps for nighttime walks -- was provided. The view from the master bedroom is so beautiful; you can see the dunes and then the ocean just over the top of the dunes. Our older two kids (5 and 7) absolutely loved staying in the loft and felt like it was their own special hideaway. We had a blast and would absolutely return to this lovely home for another beach vacation!

Wonderful beach property
Shannon and Ricardo have thought of everything a guest might want for a beach rental. The house sits near the quiet end of Topsail Island. A short walk can take you to a deserted section of the beach. The house is comfortable with great views and the filtered water tap meant we didn't have to lug plastic water containers for the week. There's a desk in every room for your laptop and a Wi-Fi repeater upstairs which ensures the signal is always good. Communications or questions for Shannon were returned promptly by text. It's clear they have put a lot of thought and care into ensuring their guests have the best experience possible.

Beautiful home & area, clean, quiet, serene location
Best vrbo we have stayed at, Shannon & Ricardo have taken care of everything for your relaxing beach side retreat! The quiet location, beautiful endless uncluttered beaches were amazing. The bay was just a gorgeous. Both just a few minutes from house. Pool is across the street & perfect for kids or to take a quick dip after a day at the beach. We loved every minute of it, felt like home & the communication & care from the owners was beyond amazing! We loved how it was away from all the hustle & bustle in Surf city but yet close to drive for some great seafood. Topsail town was adorable with ice cream shop & a few little places to grab a bite to eat. The bay sunsets were breathtaking & also at night hundreds of crabs come in! We just loved everything about the area & how wonderful our hosts were. Just bring your clothes & suits & get ready to relax!

A lovely stay
We spent a wonderful week here, our first visit to the south end of Topsail Island. Shannon and Ricardo are wonderful and responsive hosts who have included many thoughtful touches to their lovely home.
The kids adored the loft sleeping space, the adults appreciated the well-appointed kitchen, and we all enjoyed the short walk to the ocean, the sound, and the pool. The back deck looks out onto peaceful dunes, and the breeze from the ocean kept it comfortable on even the hottest days. A lovely bonus was the overall feel of the quiet and relaxed Serenity Point neighborhood—a perfect sleepy beach community.

Great stay at Top Sail
We loved the house, perfect for our family of 5. The kids really enjoyed the loft bed area and the house is very well equipped. Loved access to the pool and the beach was fabulous. We enjoyed ghost crabbing around the 2 mile beach loop in the evenings and stumbled across numerous crabs. Lots of nearby amenities too and restaurants.
Shannon is an awesome and thoughtful host. Highly recommend her and her beautiful home.

You don't need to bring it - this house already has it!
We brought beach chairs, beach shade, beach cart, etc. - didn't need any of it - left it all in the SUV. The house already had everything we needed. Next time I'll leave all this stuff at home and save the room as I could just barely get everything in the SUV. My kids are late teens, so we did bring some age-appropriate beach games like bocce ball. The house did have toys for little kids.
The house is as described in the ad - clean and well equipped. We didn't even need to buy coffee filters or coffee. Shannon (owner) was very attentive and checked in with me via email during the week. It’s a duplex but for most of the week, no one was in the other side.
My 17-year-old enjoyed the loft, and it was great to have 3 beds. The sun did wake him up early which was a bonus for us. The roll-away and air mattress in the closet are good to have options.
If you haven't been to Topsail, it's a nice beach island away from the crowds of places like Myrtle Beach. This house is about 1/2 way in the middle between the bay and the ocean and immediately across the street from the pool. We used the ocean and bay equally, so the location was great. We won’t rent a place without a pool, and we noticed very few properties in Topsail have pools so this one was appreciated and used frequently.
Topsail Tip - rent a boat from Topsail Boat Rentals so you can explore the sand bars that pop up during low tide on the bayside. Everyone thought the boat was the highlight activity of the trip.
I have had some awful VRBO rentals in the past. This house was great, and I would rent it again - that is the biggest compliment I can give.

Our first visit to Topsail
Our time at Topsail was wonderful. The house was lovely and convenient for walking on the beach, biking and enjoying everything Topsail offers. Shannon made sure we had everything we needed at the property, and it made our vacation that much better. Communication was excellent and we so enjoyed our stay in this lovely home! Can’t wait to come back!

We had a very nice stay, and would happily rent again. The unit is very much as described in the listing: clean, convenient and up-to-date. Some of the things we appreciated most were the very quiet setting, convenient beach/sound access, the built-in water purifier, well-stocked kitchen, workspaces/desks, and the private, spacious outdoor shower. We spent a lot of time on the deck, shaded by the umbrella, and our 13-year-old absolutely loved staying in the loft! Shannon was exceptionally communicative and welcoming – it’s very clear that she and Ricardo lovingly maintain this rental as their own home. Thanks so much for the opportunity to get away and relax!

As first time vacationers to Topsail, La Puerta made our stay one for the books, truly memorable, and we’re already dreaming of coming back! Shannon as the host went above and beyond in her communication with us making check in a breeze, and was so friendly and helpful in offering details and a personal touch. The house is absolutely beautiful, clean, and highly organized. From the outdoor shower, beach toys, and beach cart, to the coffee filters, spices and laundry stain remover, we had absolutely everything we needed and more thanks to the excess of amenities provided by our hosts. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck, breathing in the sweet ocean view, and often found ourselves as the first ones on the beach with two young toddlers. The community pool, directly across from the house was perfect for late afternoon swims. We left sun kissed, relaxed and recharged, and with hearts full of precious memories from our week at La Puerta!
