From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for our entire stay. Comfort was a top priority for us, and we found it in abundance at America's Cup Inn. The room was cozy and well-appointed, offering a relaxing retreat after a day of exploring Newport's vibrant streets. The location couldn't have been better – centrally situated, we were within walking distance of all the shopping, bars, and restaurants we wanted to visit. It made our excursions effortless and allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the charm of the city. Parking was a breeze, thanks to the nearby and convenient options provided by the inn. It's always a relief to have stress-free parking, especially in a bustling area like Newport. One highlight of our stay was the delightful continental breakfast offered by the inn. With a wide variety of options, including gluten-free choices, there was something to satisfy every palate. From fresh fruit and yogurt to pancakes, bacon, sausage, and delicious coffee, the spread exceeded our expectations and provided the perfect start to our mornings. Room at ants. Free breakfast looked delicious but the milk and cream were sour. Reported it on first day, second day it was the same thing. Advised the staff but they did nothing. They spoke Russian to each other and chuckled. Location was great. Very Bridgerton vibe, hard wood floors that were crooked. Beautiful property. Nobody available at check in. Instructions left we’re very confusing. Said go downstairs to room, there was only possibility of upstairs. I would not return.

The staff was amazing, I'm assuming the owners. I had surgery & my Mom who is in her late 60's we're extremely well taken care of. Moved to the 1st floor. Props to this establishment. Location was great.

You have to keep in mind that this place is OLD. And hasn't been updated/renovated in probably 40 years. Our room (#502, in the annex building) was exceptionally small, just big enough for the queen sized bed and a couple of chairs. The two of us were squeezing around the furniture and trying (unsuccessfully) to not hit our heads on the low ceiling. Because this is a small inn, and not a big hotel, the front desk is not staffed 24 hours. Good luck trying to contact someone in the middle of the night. Our neighbor locked herself out of her room at midnight and we called no less than 3 different numbers to get help. Nobody was willing to come in. We were just about to call the police (for lack of any other ideas), when someone did show up and let her in. The ordeal took well over an hour to get resolved. I also understood from the listing that parking was available. It is not! You are on your own to find public parking. We got lucky, coming off season, and got the last spot in the lot across the street. I don't know what you would do during the busy months. On the bright side, the location can't be beat. Walking distance to countless restaurants, bars, and shopping.

It was our first time at Americas Cup Inn and we were pleasantly surprised. A jump, hop and a skip to great restaurants and shopping. The location was perfect and we loved our room as well. We look forward to going back again next year!! Cheers! Michele

What an amazing property and location! We absolutely loved staying there around Christmas. It was off season yet I really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was so nice! They also have tea time form 3-5. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back

We liked the location (right in the center of town). The problem was that it is right on the cobblestone street which is very noisy plus the sidewalk was right under our window. We literally heard every conversation when someone walked by. Inside the Inn we heard everyone that walked down the corridor The afternoon tea and the morning breakfast was impressive. The room was clean and the personal were fine.

It is an older property but that is part of the charm, conveniently located in downtown Newport but it was just far enough away from the bars so it wasn’t too loud at night.

Great location in Newport. Loved the breakfast! it's not a luxurious place, but feels very comfortable clean and colonial era with its small rooms and lower ceilings. We were able to bring our dog which was a big plus.

The breakfast was great fresh food every morning in a cute little room. Very friendly people. The location was perfect you can walk to everything. If you don’t like to climb stairs then this hotel isn’t for you. It didn’t bother me but if you have issues then it might be a problem. Overall it was great.

We enjoyed our trip to Newport. Our room was comfortable but very noisy. We requested a room on the first floor due to a handicap. Our window was street level and directly next to the sidewalk about 3 feet up so every conversation, car or truck that went by was in close earshot. Neither my sister or I slept either night. The walls were thin and you could hear people in the room above walking back and forth. However, we would stay again just for convenience if they could provide a quiet room or use a super pair of earplugs.

We loved our stay. The Inn was inviting and charming. Everything was clean and fresh. Staff was amazing in all aspects. Afternoon tea was nice. Breakfast spread was the best we had on our week long vacation. Priced very reasonable.

Great location - just walk outside and you're in the middle of Thames and near shopping and restaurants. Short walk to the wharves. The Inn's breakfast and afternoon tea were very nice.

This is a very clean, old fashioned hotel. The staff is friendly and incredibly helpful. It is in the middle of all the stores so once you park the car everything is within walking distance. Two things on the downside. They do.not have parking so it is an extra $20. Per day to park in a public lot across the street. The hotel does not have an elevator, so anyone with climbing stairs issues would not really be able to stay there, even the first floor is 2 flights of stairs.up.

This was my 2nd visit to Americas Cup Inn. I was so very pleased, that it was as fantastic as before. The rooms are very comfortable. It feels like a home away from home! The breakfast provided the next morning, rivals some of the best B&Bs I’ve visited. So many choices on the buffet style table. Even the presentation of the food was an A+. I will continue staying here when visiting Rhode Island!
