Long check in process. Very affordable accomodation

Late check in was appreciated.

university campus, so loud at times. drunk kids. comfy accommodations. free parking in weekend.
2.0
Doors are not soundproof. Noisy during the evening time due students loudly enjoying their life in campus.
Good location, public bus stop next to the campus, buses going every 12 minutes, after 15 minutes ride you are in historical center.

The beds were not the most comfortable things ever.. but... the price allowed us 2 nights instead of just 1..

My feet hung off the end of the bed. The sheets were dirty, stained, and made out of the poorest quality materials available to man. The rooms were constantly boiling hot or freezing cold and simultaneously dry and humid. The unique conditions contained in these accommodations should be studied by science for use in torture chambers.

Basic student residence. Good location and relatively inexpensive for the area.

I understood that the place was air conditioned. The common areas are, not the rooms. With 2 small windows open all night it was terribly hot in the room, despite the low 16c outside ... No air circulation.
2.0
The rooms are very hot during summer (it feels at least like 40 degrees Celsius) and there’s no air conditioning nor fans provided, so we had to go to a nearby supermarket and buy a fan to be able to sleep at night, and even then the heat in the room was very suffocating. The only positive thing that we have ti say about is that the rooms are clean and we had access to water fountains to fill our bottles. Also, even though we had to share the bathroom with many people, it was clean and there was no wait to use it.

Hot and humid, no airflow in our room, kitchen was locked on our entire stay there, not even microwave was available in buidling, check in staff unaccommodating, showed up to check on at 3pm, asked to come back in an hour..showed up an hour later to a long line.. took another hour to check in.

This property was average which was fine, however girls restroom was locked the whole 5 hours or so I was there. I booked a room for 1 night while passing through however the students we loud the room was very hot, and bed was just fair. I ended up leaving in the middle of the night and continuing on as it was clear I would get no sleep!

Check in time on confirmation was incorrect and staff would not accomodate us. Agreee to cancel reservation and we had to book another hotel.

very pleased with the conditions and cleanliness of the rooms, the hosts at arrival were very friendly and helpful with info..... overall an excellent stay. for intentional purpose. close to City and economical.

It is not a hotel, it is a dorm for the students at the university.
I did not stay there because it is not an hotel and no one was there. No desk. No room nothing.
I want my money back.

It's an inexpensive way to spend time in Quebec. The St-Foy shopping area is really good space to hang out and explore. Transportaion to downtown is very frequent.

Check in was easy and organized. The price and location made it a reasonable place to stay. We don't mind sharing the bathroom but it was a long walk in the middle on the night.

It's not a hotel, it's a student dormitory, no toilet or bathroom in the room, dark rooms... We couldn't stay even a night and left there.:: It was terrible.

we were put up initially in their oldest building. My son got bitten shortly after we moved in. I called the reception and was told that it was mosquito. on the second night, I noticed that it was apparently bedbugs, and could not fall asleep at all the whole night. the next morning, I complained to the staff and were moved into the new building. the staff were helpful in this regard. However, it was clear to me that the staff knew about the poor condition in the old building - they also had human hairs on the walls of a shower. Yet, they still put me up in the old one, Two days of my stay in Quebec city were ruined. Very very disappointed.

The room is very small for two beds. There is no separate washroom. You have to share the washroom with all the people on the same floor. The staffs are not professional. I booked three rooms, and it took them a lot of time to figure this out. Everything is good, especially the elevator.

The room was basic, but fine. The main disappointment was the kitchen. We specifically selected this property to be able to fix a quick dinner or make coffee in the morning. While there is a kitchen (in the basement, which was hard to find and no signs or instructions provided), there's absolutely no utensils to borrow, nothing; can't even boil water. There is one fridge in the kitchen, but it's (as a student told us) "for donations". The food left there one evening was no longer there in the morning. This is terrible.

No A/C and the beds are pretty uncomfortable. Ended up leaving a day early

You definitely know you’re staying in a university residence, but it’s fantastic for travelling solo, can’t beat the price and the campus/neighbourhood is awesome. Would stay again.

A 40 dollar room most likely. Small, smelly, and far from places.
To find the reception, you’ve got to have a key. To get a key, someone with a badge must open the door for you. Let's say it's great for students on a budget . My wife booked this for me, and it was terrible.

I was really happy with the room. Bed linen and towels good quality. Access to ice and snacks. Local pub and places to eat in the next building. Bus outside the door. 15-20 minutes to downtown. No AC but was comfortable.
Overall a great experience and good value.

The only problem is the heat.. need better air circulation/ air conditioning

The residence was quiet and well run and was close to where we wanted to be. What I didn’t like was Expedia double booking my reservation and having no one readily available to sort things out resulting in doubling our cost for what was a positive experience.

If you need the place to sleep and shower-its for you. Clean, well located, free parking and internet. I know “shared bathroom” is a snake in the room” but…80$ vs 250$ plus parking speaks for itself!

The place is old ( it’s a university dorm) and was very , very clean . However , my 14 year old daughter said she saw a small cockroach climbing down the wall .
If we didn’t see that the ratings would be higher .
I really wish I could give it a higher rating because it’s an excellent idea.
Also they should increase the frequency of people inspecting for garbage at the entrance , and stairway area. Room for improvement , very do-able .

The building pictured is not the building that you stay in. The actual building is perhaps 400m away. The room was a basic dorm room without air conditioning but was more than adequate for our needs. Overall knowing this before our booking left us with appropriate expectations and happy.

No elevators and on third floor and no air conditioning. Other than that all was ok for the price

The checkin was fine but the door to the registration was locked and the notice on how yo call to get in was only in French. Someone let me in and the rest was fine.

Needs air conditioning inside the rooms. I feel like a turkey in a oven on thanksgiving day!

By far the deadliest mattress I’ve ever slept on. Should be illegal. I think people in jail sleep more comfortably. Plus there was strands of hair sitting on the shelves, DISGUSTING. I don’t care how cheap it is, I’d never go back

Knowing this is a student residence of the university, so we already did not hold high expectations for this property, given our personal experiences back when we were in school. But this property is just downright inhabitable! The room BARELY fit 2 single beds, and that's all it has room for, not to mention that the washroom was in another hallway of the building. The room was dirty and smelly. The entire building felt like a jail. This property should not even be allowed to let students live in it let alone be rented out as hotel accommodation. Must avoid it at all costs!

This is the older of the residences: Even numbers facing the back of the building and odd numbers facing Desjardins building. The building is not air conditioned, so one would like to have the windows open at night -- except for the noise from rowdy shouting people on the benches and on the road that went on some nights until 2 am, and even then they had to be chased away by campus police. Insist on the 'even numbers' side, or another building entirely.
Side note: There were 3 toilets and 6 showers for women on a floor with 75 rooms; needless to say, they weren't all that clean. Convenient location for transport. Not convenient for food. The cafeteria food was banal at best, and the pub was okay but not open for breakfast, leaving the only close option the cafeteria in the languages building, which was serving mass breakfasts to the many 'summery camp' kids, so the food was pretty banal and not well prepared. Good coffee. Skip the food lines and buy decent muffins and croissants right beside the cashier.

It is a basic accommodation for a good price. The bathroom and shower rooms were shared between men and women, though.
