The lobby was fine. As we were checking in we were informed that we had to pay to park. There was no parking lot since the recent storm so we had to park in front of our room 1/2 way on the sidewalk.
I thought the room was bad until I was FaceTiming a friend. She asked me if I was allowed to have a phone in jail. I told her I was in a hotel. She said it looks like a jail and I agree 100 percent. That was the perfect description. The dirty brass, filthy Venetian plaster, and the cement floors added to the jailhouse vibe. The road noise doesn’t help at all. The rooms are actually backed into the highway.
It looks like the designer was going for a chic and cool beach pad feel. Instead it is cheap and cold. There are no real amenities in the room but a mini bar I paid $16.50 for chips and a coke.
I wish we would have stayed over the hill in Calabasas.

Good minimalism hotel with nice features.

Hidden little gem on PCH! Simplistic, clean, and the perfect for a weekend getaway. Loved the heated pool during our winter stay. Location is great but still requires a quick drive to the local spots. Ubers can be tricky depending on your excursion, but the hotel staff was great at helping navigate.

Very nice hotel. Fantastic ambiance and really nice rear patio/pool area

This place is a super cute and quaint hotel. The remodel is really crisp and clean. It’s close to a lot in Malibu and everyone was super friendly.
The biggest issue is the road noise from the PCH. We slept, but cars are buzzing day and night. We paid a lot for 2 nights. I definitely think it should be in a lower price point.
Overall, it’s a precious little hotel and concept.

It was a stunning mid century bungalow in the perfect part of Malibu

I would have put parking, which was fine, but there were parallel parking spots to use and, maybe it's LA, but NO ONE could parallel park worth a darn. Easy to get in and out anyway, and the room was cute and comfortable and very convenient for our visit to Malibu.

Hello,
We Spent this tri-annual malibu visit bouncing down the PCH hotel-wise because we had the time to do so. I challenged myself to a few reviews for the first time. Since I graduated Pepperdine years ago, it was the first time I wanted to make sure I had stayed at all the hotels.
This place would’ve been ok for half the price. However, a security Camera looked right into what we anticipated to be our private outdoor area, @ $600 p/ night I was very uncomfortable given the circumstances.
We met one Blonde employee working the front desk who was incredibly sweet.

Room was wonderfully laid on and pristine. The only slight negative is it is very close to Pacific Coast Highway so there is traffic noise if you open up windows in your room.
But we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

From the most pleasant checking experience, to the last minute, Hotel June exceeded all my expectations. Rooms are peaceful, cozy, smartly designed, even inspiring. An awsome place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Malibu.

Cute place and nice rooms but they are still getting the restaurant and the pool up and running so it’s very overpriced with the facilities closed. Also have to pay $25 for parking in their little lot. Should be free! Pet fee is $150 which I think is too high as well.

Great stay at this recently renovated property! The location is certainly not walking distance to …anything, but it is a perfect getaway with great amenities!

Staff was very kind. It’s a lot of money for the location, on the highway, especially when you’re charged extra to use the parking lot.
It’s a bit disappointing when they advertise pastries for breakfast (the only food they offer) but when they’ve run out for two mornings in a row, you need to ask them to go out and buy some, which takes a couple hours to get.
There’s some work to do to get to the level of service to justify the price. I hope they get there.

Tough one. This is a beach hotel not on the beach with beach pricing. The views are to the Pacific Coast Highway and it is super noisy, even at night. Be prepared to pay another $25 for parking (a dark dirt and pebbled lot) and $25 resort fee. There is no resort, just a small pool. Wanted to like this place but would not go back.

Extremely relaxing and low key place to recharge. Great location right off the PCH, a short pop over to the beach! We got a room with AC and a refrigerator which definitely helped in a heat wave. Close to so many great restaurants and shops. Definitely recommend!

A cute little hotel. Rooms were clean (not very big). Minimal conveniences. Seemed like we paid a lot for what we got but think thats Malibu. Unless you are willing to pay BIG $.

Nicely renovated, funky motel in Malibu area, but no phones or TVs made it a bit too rustic. Also, those quaint terraces look out over the Pacific Coast Highway.
