I love this hotel and the new flooring has greatly improved it since last time. However the fees are out of control. Booking on hotels.com I paid taxes, then again at the hotel, then 25 a night destination charge, then 35 a night for self parking. Just excessive.

Should have been advised when making reservation that pool area would be closed until 7pm ssturday due to special function. We had booked a family vacation and pool was a major function for the kids.
$35 + tax per night rediculous for self parking.
Needed a wheelchair for my injured wife to leave hotel. None available. Had to use a chair with wheels to get from room to parking garage

We stayed two nights and the hotel was OK - nothing great, but no complaints except the elevators couldn't keep up with the traffic. The evening drinks are overrated. Breakfast was meh.
We had a nice room, great comfy bed and good linens. Bathroom was spacious and clean. All good.

Very nice motel...loved the breakfast.
.They did need to explain charges for stay in a little more detail however.

It was a good stay. The hotel is conveniently located downtown but parking was expensive for hotel guests. The free breakfast was good and the food credit was nice although the hotel is a bit overpriced in my opinion. The music blasting in the pool area was annoying.

Our family loved this hotel. It was very clean and a great location. The free breakfast was very good. Each day it was slightly different and they offer an omelet station. The pool is very nice with a great view.

Was a big disappoint! I have always liked Embassy Suites, but this property is a bomb. It three calls to the desk to get maintenance service, and they send someone that didn't speak english.
The Amenities were lacking. Overall the service was no better than a Motel 6.
I'm probably through with this property.

No lighting in bathroom.
Fell on Legacy trail and not enough lighting in bathroom to even put on a bandaid.
0 water flow in faucets. Not funny. Would never stay again.

The construction noise in the room next door. The walls are thin and can easily hear talking

Evening receptionist was a bit rude, Didn't want to answer question. not very helpful. a younger girl stepped in and answered all my question. I think she also got the vibe that the lady was being rude.

Not our first time at this hotel, not bad experience this time but not happy with the $30 daily parking charge for a regular self parking NOT valet service. Laundry room need attention, washer/dryers need a deep cleaning. Breakfast service still excellent but evening reception is getting worse with every visit, Still loving the location and still on our top options when visiting the area.

We were impressed with this hotel. The room was great! It was a spacious bedroom with a separate living room and small kitchenette. It had a great view of the water. It included a complimentary breakfast and happy hour with plenty of snacks! The restaurant view was amazing! The city provides a trolley that circles around the places we wanted to visit, including Lido Beach and St. Armonds Circle that has lots of restaurants and shops.

Good:
Our room is really nice and just right for a long stay.
Breakfast is good and it’s included in our rate.
Not Good:
In house parking is very expensive but we manage to park on the street for free.

I recommend going elsewhere.
If you stay here, Check for hidden fees first. They add $30/day parking & $25/day amenity fees.
This is done for profit. Expedia can post a lower rate than the hotel website & the hotel can increase prices on customers without giving more to Expedia. Expedia is paid on the room rate, not the amenity and parking rates. Use the restaurant & you can recover the amenity rate in your dinner. Amenity fees supports the restaurant.
My room was not ready on arrival. They suggested I go to the restaurant. The dinner came out of my pocket, despite the fact that I had to pay an amenity charge. Bad service by the front desk staff. Random fees appeared on my CC. These fees did not seem to coincide with any specific activity. I was polite & merely asked about it without complaining. Regardless, the man at the desk seemed annoyed that I would dare to ask.
The cleaning staff folded up the towel that was in my shower and put it back under the sink. I discovered this when I picked it up shortly after they left and discovered that it was still wet. I am not sure that the sheets were clean, either. Dirty floor.
The location is extremely noisy.
One bright spot: I received very excellent service in the restaurant. The supervisor there was diligent in making sure that we had a good experience in that space. The servers at the bar and restaurant were helpful, quick, and courteous.
Second bright spot: Plenty of things to do in walking distance from the hotel.

Its a very nice hotel. The rooms were large and well furnished and were also clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The location was good. It was nice having an extra pull out bed and mini kitchen. Everything was very nice.
The only thing I did not like was the parking garage. It was very tight and claustrophobic. Some people had huge vehicles in there. It made it hard to get past them. If it were full, I'm not sure it would be easy to turn around and get out.

First off, I’d like to say I had a high expectation/standard for this establishment because I have an Embassy Suites near where I live and they’ve been great! However, the Sarasota location Embassy Suites wasn’t the most pleasant to work with.
When paying $3-$400/night I feel that there is a standard that should be met as far as the amenities, staff, and overall comfort goes, but man was I wrong. Here’s a few things that were extremely disappointing from this establishment.
1. The pool area was only available from sunrise to sunset which essentially meant no night swimming. Also, I don’t think I saw a hot tub at all which was disappointing.
2. There was no smart tv’s so we were limited to 45 channels. 3/45 channels didn’t work so we were really limited to 42 channels.
3. Pillows had literally no support whatsoever. I ended up having to use a couch cushion to be able to sleep.
4. They charge $30/day to park there on top of the already $3-$400/night stays and don’t even have a charging station for EV’s. Nearest one was a 10-15min drive.
5. When trying to resolve an overcharge issue during my stay, the younger male “manager” I spoke with wasn’t the nicest with explaining the charges and eventually just blew me off.
Safe to say I won’t ever waste my money again staying here. Much rather pay more money and stay at the Westin across the street they have better views.

There were things about the room I was willing to overlook. I was also hesitant about the excessive parking cost. I was charged twice for room service even though I was told the 25 dollar a day destination charge gave me 25 credit toward food or beverage each day. I paid for the room in full through hotels and I just received a bill of over 400 dollars in charges on my bank account. The room was not clean. The floors were sticky and we kept finding hair all over the bed. We were missing a closet door and I was willing to look past all of the issues until I got all of these charges. A true disappointment. First ever issue with a Hilton hotel. This will likely be the last for me.

We stayed for 4 nights with our teenaged children. Instead of booking a smaller room at a fancier hotel, we opted for a spacious suite in a similar location. The room was great except for a drainage issue in the shower and bathroom sink. Otherwise, the amenities and hotel were updated and clean with an excellent location, convenient to all restaurants and shopping. The kids loved the breakfast and the adults loved the daily happy hour. We also used the trolley to St. Armand’s circle and lido beach. Very easy to access and use. Parking was easy and accessible too.

The staff at front desk very helpful in providing transportation to and from Sarasota Memorial Hospital. We are booking again in January 2024 and are looking forward to a repeat visit to the restaurant. The grab and go shop was also a benefit. We highly recommend this facility.
