This is a bit of a hard review to write. With the recent renovations, we see the potential in this location - but our stay was unfortunately very clunky. We were on a road trip and booked the same day. The hotel office closed at 5pm so we had to get a code to get in the office and get our keys when we arrived that evening. That worked fine but there were also other guest keys for pick up there as well - it felt unsecure. Before we arrived, we asked if the on-site bar would be open, and the answering service told us it was indeed open. But when we arrived it was very, very closed. We also expected the pool to be in service, but it was empty and closed as well. It was after 9pm before we found a place to eat and returned later for bed. Unfortunately, at 5:45 am the fire alarm went off so we all had to go outside. The police and fire department arrived and we found out the alarms go off often. They were also not happy because there was no manager on site to let them know how many guests were there and in what rooms. We had 2 more days in town and decided to find a different place to go instead. Maybe things run differently in the summer months, but our experience was rough.

I paid Hotels.com in full, in advance, for my room on September 9, 2023. When I arrived for my scheduled stay on May 10, 2024, the hotel billed me again. When I told the hotel desk that I was being charged for the second time, the hotel told me it was not their fault, that it is Hotels.com's fault. I now have to dispute the double charge with my bank, which makes me very angry. I will never use Hotels.com again, nor will I ever stay at Beach Walk Hotel again.

They had us waiting for our room for 45 minutes and they basically forgot about us. We had to ask again and they finally realized we were sitting there waiting for so long. We watched several people getting checked in right away. Some guests were treated wonderfully and explained every detail of their stay, others, like us, got the bare minimum information. Not sure why, maybe something about race.... The room was comfortable and clean. The walls are very thin, you can hear everything.

Property is lovely and picturesque...however i received a message that keys were kept in a safe zone and no one was at the counter. Had to wait for 2 hrs before someone answered my calls.. the service was really poor since they didnt keep my keys and i had to ring numerous times to get a response back

New building felt very ‘new’ but lacks charm & warmth. Staff was very friendly & accommodating. Construction a couple doors down was an unwelcome morning wake up call.

This property is such a hidden gem! It is so beautiful to stay in the off season. It feels like luxury condos with the amenities. Bedding is incredible, TV is huge with streaming services and the bathroom is stunning!

Overall very clean and the view of the ocean was very relaxing. The only thing was the coffee. No creamer and no regular sugar. Very nice and comfortable.

My husband and I decided to stay here for our anniversary. We had stayed at the hotel a couple years ago while they were building the new ocean facing rooms. The rooms are stylish and comfortable. My husband who is an avid fisherman loved the room as we could see what was going on in the ocean. Although he did not sleep well knowing that their were fish to be caught not far away from us lol.

Upon checking in my resrvation was for a king ocean view. After checking out the room we had a double bed with no balcony. When confronting the front desk I was told that my room was given away,. That I should contact expedia since I used a third party. Did not understand that reasoning since the room was available when I booked?

I was given a room that leaks and with a hole in the wall. After requesting a new room, I was out in a room that wasn’t very clean and the door didn’t lock. After getting the door fixed, I discovered the WiFi didn’t stay connected.

The pool was closed, it was green. This is the main attraction. The staff was useless. Could not answer questions, gave us the wrong room. Not enough linens. A leak in the ceiling in the lobby. No maintenance available when our shower had 0 water pressure.

Amazing, safe, location. Friendly staff. Cleaned. Stayed in ocean front room. Million dollar view. Will definitely stay again. Only thing bummed about was the hotel restaurant was closed when we tried to go. Sad about that as it had a incredible riverview dining.

Suggest that you ask for the newer building. Room 211 -217. The Tiki Bar is not a great addition to what really is a Gem of a hotel in Sea Bright. Most of the staff was great, however, one, perhaps “Manager”, was very unprofessional , unfriendly and just such a disappointment for an establishment attached to this wonderful hotel. We were hoping to enjoy the food and drinks without having to leave the hotel grounds. However, between them “running out of food”, or closing entirely, very disappointing. Could really be a great asset to this property. Thinking maybe needs a new Management? Great hotel, location, beach access. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises. We will be back. Just be sure to pack your own snacks and libations!

The view of an ocean side sunrise and a dining view of the riverside is a real plus, We loved the location, parking and convenience to get to beaches on Sandy Hook. It even offers a public beach just across the street and a pool on site. Not fancy but modern feel. Comfortable bed and bathroom too. We will visit Beachwalk again!

For the price that we paid a night the accommodations were not up to par. The bathroom was dirty with other peoples hair on the floor. The bathroom sink was stopped up and gross and would not drain. The bed had the worst mattress and was very uncomfortable. There was something poking me in the side all night that was in the mattress. The room had a musty order and you could tell this hotel was in need of an upgrade. Very shoddy upkeeping to say the least. The floor was covered with sand from previous occupants. Not worth the money and we will never stay there again.

The new rooms were beautiful with a great view no matter what side you get. The on-site restaurant has amazing food, service and views plus a good live band. Parking is very easy.

Room was a BASIC motel room, broken fixtures, dirty and moldy grout in the bathroom, not place to place or hang toiletries. Ants on the nightstand and dresser... exterior needs a strong clean and many repairs. NOT as portrayed on website and definitely not worth the money.

The new rooms are very nice with Decour chosen, but the lack of staff to clean rooms, grounds, pool area, reception lobby and maintain motel is a problem. Bar area could be nice if taken care of, again lack of staff. This motel has so much potential to be a hidden gem in Sea Bright.

This place has a lot of potential and there is a lot to like. The location is lovely, the tiki bar drinks & food were tasty albeit a little pricey, and the young man working in the lobby this past area was so pleasant. For the price that I paid for a "classic" room, I would have at least expected a garbage can outside of the tiny one in the restroom, the restroom in our room was also infested with ants, and the hotel requires a little more upkeep and time on details. Garbage cans were not emptied throughout our three-day stay in either the room or the one located in the parking lot. Would recommend that more care & attention goes into the surrounding areas of the pool area including restrooms, enforcing pool passes, lounge chairs being stained and dirty, and many people rinsing the sand off their bodies or shoes in the pool!! The pool water was cloudy and not appealing to get into. So many parents were observed letting their children go straight into the pool after coming from the beach. Should install a shower and more handrails to get into the pool for the elderly. Once these things are taken care of then this place could be a 4-5 hotel

Keys did not worked. We had to go multiple times to the front desk and then she showed us a trick to open the door. Unacceptable! We requested a late check out and someone knock at the door and tried to open the door twice without identifying himself even when my husband said one moment. My husband explained that I requested a late checkout at the front desk and the guy said no, I was at the desk and I did not speak to anyone, employee showed no professionalism at all.

The location was too far from town so you couldn't walk anywhere. There were a few sightings of ants in our room and also some major construction happening directly next door. There was so much drilling going on ALL DAY and our room was literally shaking from it. Not a pleasant experience at all!

Person at the front desk was inattentive. On the phone with a personal issue. Once in room, there was no toilet paper. No answer to front desk on phone. Went back to front desk to correct bathroom issue. Chair in room had a rip. New addition to hotel is great. Rooms are nice.Personnel need training refresher.
