It was very nice and the staff were friendly

When we arrived the hotel did not have any reservations for the 3 rooms we had reserved. I was on the phone for over 4 hours with Hotels .com being passed around and on hold while they tried to resolve the issue. The conversation didn’t transfer so we started ooo ver at least 5 times. Finally we found our own hotel and transferred the reservations. The hotel was very helpful.

The hotel was nice & cozy & located in a great area near everything! Adam & Alex were phenomenal & gave great service during our stay

Exactly the French Quarter antique vibe we were looking for. One street over from Bourbon so that bars and music are conveniently close but far enough away to be quiet once back at hotel.

The property is well maintained and comfortable with a very attentive and knowledgeable staff that made us feel as if we were staying with friends. The bathroom in the rooms could use some small upgrades.

This has stairs. They are very rude here. It has great location. Get a balcony room, if over looks bourbon stree.

Do not believe the online pictures. It is in disrepair , bare necessities, . Old is one thing and can be lovely…. This place is awful….

Absolutely awful, dirty, and uncomfortable. Checked out early as we just couldn’t spend a second night here. Stained sheets, mold in the bathroom, uncomfortable bed. So disappointed.

Adam was wonderful! He made us feel at home. There is a cat named Andrew in the courtyard who is an absolute sweet heart. It was nice to sit in the courtyard and have his company. Our room was cozy and nicely decorated. Great location in the French quarter. It's far enough from bourbon st to not have all the noise, but close enough to every major attraction.

I want to start by saying I grew up in New Orleans, and I’m used to old buildings. This room wasn’t just old, it was FILTHY. Hair on the towels, the air vents looked like they haven’t been cleaned since the civil war, mysterious drips and stains on the wall, the tub was stained black, it was GROSS. I left with a sinus infection and feeling like I needed a tetanus shot. The pillows were paper thin and pretty much useless. The side table was broken and sliced my husbands hand open. The door lock was busted and did not feel secure.
The front desk staff was rude and unhelpful. They also ran my card when I arrived for the late checkout fee. Then at check out tried to tell me I still owed for it. After telling them we had already been charged, the guy ran my card again with out asking or clarifying. Then LOUDLY announced infront of other people the card was declined (yeh I could have told you that, it was the wrong card). That’s why you ASK people before running a card. After going back and forth and showing that we DID pay the late check out fee, as well as a $40 pet fee, and $50 parking (they will nickel and dime you to death) the guy tried to act like he was doing us a favor and “waive” the fee. Except we had STILL already paid it. So beware, they will deff charge you twice for things.
The location is great but everything else is a nightmare. Stay away

The real name of the French Quarter is the old quarter and this hotel matches that. The carpet in the hall is very worn, all areas need paint, woodwork refinished and a general cleaning. Our room had a balcony overlooking Royal Street, so there was some street noise. Our tv didn't work.
We were only there for one night and loved the vibe of the place feeling like we were part of the Nawlins experience. Everything in the bathroom worked, the bed was comfy soft, and the furnishings were antique.
If you prefer a modern hotel this ain't it but we liked it for our short stay.
Oh, by the way, the hotel is purportedly haunted, and we had two strange occurances. Just sayin'...

I liked the fact the hotel is an historic building. The front desk employees are rock solid on customer service and will make guests feel appreciated. However, the maid service has a lot to be desired. Maid service not accommodating to guests needs and should be more attentive to detailed cleaning and services. Example bed never made and when asked for more shampoo and conditioner was ignored.

It has old charm court yard was really nice. Room was OK .Very dirty curtain on window of door you come in and out of your room. Also outlets in room didnt hold plug very well for phone charger.
These are minor things people were very nice.I would stay again!

It is a lovely historical building, conveniently located within walking distance from the French Quarter and Bourbon Street.

Always wanted to stay at this hotel - but will never stay here again - from our experience-
1. First got to room we had NO towels and half a roll of toilet paper. That night I asked the front desk person for the items and he could not get them bc they were locked up and he would have to wait for the supervisor. Still got nothing until I went the next morning to the front desk and asked again.
2. Old hotel - the heater just couldn’t keep up with the temperature. It was cold and I set heater at 74. Whole trip it only got up to 67. We were cold.
3. There was rust in the tub and the silver knob that goes from bath to shower was rusted in place as a shower. The faucet for the shower was the type you turn in a circle. It usually stops with hot water. This one kept going around and around and around. You had to guess the spot for hot water and really guess the exact spot to turn off the water.
4. Cracks in the wall, old linen on the beds and hard mattresses- my mattress sunk in the middle.
5. The tv remote only worked if you stood right in front of the TV.
We stayed 2 nights bc we paid (no refunds) and couldn’t wait to leave. Never again.

This was an older property but that is what made it unique. While it was dated, it wasn't in poor condition. There was a courtyard with tables, chairs, and a fountain. I made time to sit there each day to reflect on my trip.
The staff that I encountered were all extremely helpful and jovial.
This hotel is within walking distance of many great attractions and shops.
Would stay here again if I am on a solo travel trip.

It’s definitely a place you stay to feel apart of the historic New Orleans life…it’s a old property of course but the room was not to bad, average mattress , a mini fridge that did not work at all. the worst part of this hotel is the rooms on the front are in the main lobby so you hear everyone coming and going all night slamming the door that comes into the front/office and the other back door that goes into the court yard where the other rooms are… if you want a old hotel with a ghost story to stay in just for the heck of it I’d recommend it for one night but nothing more than that we had to circle the block multiple times to park in front of it then wait awhile for someone to get our car to the off site parking garage… the price on Expedia of 29 dollars they ask you to pay extra does not actually cover the parking that’s no good upon arrival ;( and it’s not 45 a day it’s 52 a day for you to park with them, I know it’s not that much but 29 they took from Expedia plus 52 adds up to way more than what’s shown ;(

Staff was exceptional and so kind. Zach was especially helpful in sharing information about the area. It is an older hotel, but that’s part of charm & history. However, suggest requesting a room in the main building as they appeared more comfortable and in better condition than the room we had in the rear building off the courtyard. Secured parking and fast service to receive your car. But the hotel’s location make is easy to walk everywhere.

Staying in historical hotel right in the French Quarters was wonderful. Everything was so close making it perfect location. The staff was awesome, very professional. The valet parking was so convenient. Only negative was our room and bathroom size was very tiny. Courtyard was a relaxing place to unwind and relax.

Chris was so friendly and helpful. The hotel is haunted (so they say), but we didnt experience anything. The building is old but we wanted to stay in a older place. The location is perfect. Our room was a bit small, but that was fine with us too. The plus is that it is pet friendly. We will staying here again.

I truly did love our stay at this hotel, we loved how close we were to everything. The bathroom was a bit small, but honestly, it was worth it for the price and location. Chris was a great employee, he definitely gave manager vibes, so I was surprised to hear he wasn’t! The haunted stories also make it fun, but we did not experience anything.
We were given fresh towels daily, and the beds were on the firm side, but comfortable! We will definitely stay here again!

It’s definitely a historic property- but it served its purpose- slept there was in the quarter and the staff was great.

We had a gap under our door and half way up the side too. Room was small which was ok but floors could have used a vacuum and mop. Only had coffee one of the days

Old building. rich in history. Antique furnishings. Staff- particularly Zack & Chris provided above and beyond service and assistance.

For being a haunted hotel, we got our share of haunts! That’s what made our trip the best. The hotel day staff went out of their way, however, the night staff did not acknowledge you if you weren’t a single female. I expected staff friendliness to be on any shift. I know the hotel was several 100 years old, so I didn’t expect it to be in the best of shape. Not going to ding them for that though they could make sure that the room was cleaned daily or at least ask.

To start 3 of the front desk staff were amazing especially Chris. Location of the hotel is perfect. Management , However should put more work on cleanliness of the hotel.. reception bathroom was filthy, our room was never cleaned in the 4 days that we were there. You have to ask for fresh towels if you want them.. the comforter was stained and filthy and the duvet did not even hide it.. we tried to request for another comforter but never got it.. linens were not changed in the 4 days we were there. Thank God they have Chris as staff, he at least made up for some of it.. he has very good customer service..

I booked a 250 sq ft room with King Bed for two nights. Parking was additional $37 per day. When we arrived the staff offered a room with a Queen bed so we would not have to climb the stairs. The room so small there was no room to open suitcases except on the bed.The room did not have internet and we spent the evening trying to resolve the issue. Internet access was only available in the lobby but the lobby has no desk or table. The room had a large window in the door which opened to a courtyard with lights on all night. I was up all night and the mattress left me with a bad back.We requested to be moved to the booked King room and packed up our bags. We returned to the room at 3 pm, our room had not been changed. The staff advised that someone was to repair the internet so they would not be changing our room.I advised we needed to be moved to the booked King room. They moved us to a King room with no heat and no internet. They moved us again near the lobby, it had internet but no heat and no cable. We turned off the air conditioning, but a vent blew cold air all night. I advised we we needed a blanket or heater. When we returned to the room that evening, they handed us a blanket. In the morning we advised at 7:30 am that we were checking out and needed our car. They advised that the car storage facility did not open until 8 am. We left the room and waited in the lobby for our car. The car which was "across the street" did not arrive until 8:45.

Front desk staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful with recommendations for the area. Had to request housekeeping come and clean our room. Mattress was saggy and very uncomfortable. And grounds need some repair- steps loose could be a potential injury

The property is older, with a lot of history, and that's one of the things I love most about New Orleans. Staff were all great. Christopher was exceptional.

We stayed 3 nights. Everything was perfect. Within waking distance to Everything we wanted to do. Would recommended. Everyone at the front desk was helpful and polite. Room was clean and quite.

Beautiful, historic hotel. Room was spacious and quiet.

Rooms are small, but adequate. The parade went right by the front lobby, so I could watch it in AC! I only lasted 30 minutes in the heat outside.

The hotel was convenient and close walking distance to Bourbon Street and Jackson Square.

Very charming, historic property. Great location. Wonderful staff. Always love staying here.

Very small room. Door knob on closet door was broken. The place wasn't the cleanest. The air conditioner didnt work whatsoever in the dead of summer and there was no fan in the room nor did they have a portable fan we could use.
4.0
The property was conveniently located and air conditioning in first floor room was great. Negatives- you can hear every door shut all night long, the vent system is connected so you can hear conversations in other rooms, the evening staff claimed they didn’t have shampoo available until the following morning- really he didn’t want to go get us any. Two of the four staff we saw in two days were great. We didn’t mind the room not cleaned each day, but given attitude when we asked for clean towels.
