Lovely hotel facing the beach and short walk into Chatham.
Valet & Reception staff and barman in the afternoon were all very welcoming.
Unfortunately the evening bar staff were not .
We ate in the bar on our first afternoon which was excellent however breakfast was a mixed bag. Food was disappointing and some staff were not the most helpful.
Overall Chatham Bars Inn is in a great spot & has some lovely features but couldn’t give a 5 star rating .

Their systems kept declining my credit card we tried 4 different cards from 3 different users and they made us look like we didn’t have functioning cards and I told the desk person to use the other machine and he wouldn’t until he got his manager out here. It took them 45 minutes to get this handled and was not what I expected from a Hotel like this. On top of that we had already pre paid for our stay. We offered to pay incidentals in cash because their machine didn’t work and they refused.

The setting was amazing. Slightly dated. Service slow slow.

Now they use only valet parking, and take horrible care of your vehicle, as in 10 hours after I handed them the key found the truck open in the parking lot, windows down, doors unlocked, key inside the truck and not with the valet guys. "Heated" pool is roughly 60-65 degrees. Walls are paper thin. Noise is tremendous. Food is terrible. Service is the worst of ANY hotel or motel I've stayed with throughout the world. Utter waste of money and vacation

The resort is a timeless classic with no areas uncovered.

Although the room is very well appointed the room is very small. The service folks are extremely good and helpful and trustworthy and the food quality is great.

Honestly i was a bit disappointed about a couple of things. Property is beautiful, but upon entering the room after check in the toilet water was running. When calling front desk they said “this has happened before.” For a property this price i dont think it should be happening “often.”
Also, for breakfast, yo have the a la carte you have a to sit inside. If you want to sit outside you have to order the buffet. So they are forcing you to order the most expensive breakfast option so you can sit outside

1st off this property requires you to walk up a lot of steps kind of like Rocky just to get to check in. I spent close to $900 for 2 nights so $450 a night and I couldn’t even see the ocean. I can’t imagine it being super busy in the dead of the winter. I was very disappointed with the room location. It was close to the spa where my wife and I had a couples massage that was great, but we had to drive so it didn’t matter. For the money this place is not worth it in the winter.

Property is located right along the coast. Nice pleasent staff. Our complaint is it’s overpriced. Especially in off season. We had a “Deluxe” room in one of the “cottages” which had three guest rooms in the building. The walls were so thin we could hear everything when their bathroom was being used. It was almost like they were showering in our room it was as so loud.

Property is beautifully located on the water and wonderfully decorated. Rooms are quaint and well appointed

For what we paid for the room we weren’t impressed. The mini bar was empty, there were no instructions on how to work anything ( sauna, hot tub and steam shower ). They do not clean the rooms every day. We asked for new towels the person that brought them just threw them on the tub and said here’s your clean towels. Also we were told that we had an ocean view, and we didn’t. It was a view of a golf course. Just another over priced hotel.

conveniently located on main street in Chatham among stores, restaurants, and bars (Chatham Squire). Short drive to ocean and Chatham bars / lighthouse. Nice restaurant on site.

The check in process was so easy, each and every staff member is so respectful and accommodating. Thank you.

We were upgraded upon arrival to a water-front cottage room with a fireplace

Surprised to find a cheese and meat platter when we arrived! Our cottage was very spacious for 5. We arrived late on Christmas Day and asked twice for the pull out couch to be made up for our arrival. It was not. Our stay was great, but it is clear that they are suffering from staffing shortages as are most in the hospitality industry.

Disappointing for the $$.
Very difficult service experience at the “Tavern” for dinner after checking in. Zero help from concierge booking a dinner for our second evening … was told “you snooze you lose” regarding taking some time on booking a reservation. No help at all booking dinner at the fine dining restaurant on site even though we were staying in a $2k room. They charge all of the money and give you none of the love. There are much better places to spend $3k on a weekend away than here. Zero stars would not recommend.

The property looks wonderful at first glance and cosy feel, staff very professional and friendly. Location breathtaking! Dinner good, breakfast not so. However very dated. Our room is in need of some serious renovation. Furniture visibly used, table almost fell apart, very outdated technical installations, we could hear every word the couple in the next room were saying…

Very impressed with Chatham Bars Inn. The property was elegant and very comfortable. Highly recommended

This is not a deluxe hotel. It is an event center. Room was dirty, small, smelled of mildew and in poor repair. Door only closed if kicked. Definitely not a deluxe cottage. Possible as a wedding venue only. Enjoy the views as that is all there is. Food was awful. Avoid!
