Super clean and spacious (super spacious actually like probably double the usual hotel room size). Service was friendly and prompt and professional. Free s'mores making after 430-930pm and nice hot tubs sauna steam room until 11pm. Great stay! Thank you!

Nothing fancy but everything works.
Best secret: Shuttle bus to Banff stops right outside the door.
First stop to be picked up going to Banff
First stop to to be dropped off after skiing
If you are going to ski, this is the best place to stay!!

Canalta lodge was an 11/10. They went above and beyond and thought about every little detail. The breakfast was great, the hot tubs and sauna after a day of outdoor activities was super relaxing, and the free s'mores were a great touch. It was super comfortable and the entire staff was really friendly. I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Banff.

Amazing! Loved this hotel. Staff was amazing and the amenities were the best we’ve seen. Would
Absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend. Our kids loved the hot tubs and the smores!! Thank you!

It’s cute and cosy! We loved the breakfast, hot tubs, and the dry sauna! The staff are so friendly as well!

Our stay was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Breakfast was delicious and the spread was amazing.

The amenities were outstanding. I really liked the ski shuttle service and the use of the fat tire bike. The breakfast spread was excellent.

Great location if you want ski shuttle. A bit inconvenient for getting to town. Cool spa and fire pit area. Rooms are very dark with inadequate lighting.

The hotel allowed my family to check-in earlier, which was so nice. We enjoyed the hot tub and sauna as well. The breakfast was absolutely amazing with a large variety of breakfast foods.
Moreover, the FrontDesk upgraded me to a beautiful suite and I couldn't be happier with the friendly staff. I would definitely come again and strongly recomand Canalta Loge to all! Thanks staff for amazing accommodation! 👏

The place was very friendly and quaint. The balcony was extremely small. A little far from the town but in walking distance.

Called the property at 9:30 in the morning to ask for early check in. Gave “Chloe” our name and she said she would try and get it ready. Showed up at 2:00 and was greeted by Chloe. Asked if we could check in early, she acted like she looked in the computer, but didn’t hit any keys. Told us it would be ready at 4:00. Never again. Really appreciated the customer service after a 1300 mile drive. Plenty of other places in town to book I advise trying somewhere else closer to downtown with better service

Great location, love the underground parking for $9.00/day.
The rooms are cute and very Indie/Hipster.
Loved the hot tub/sauna/cold pool, what a great feature.
The bath soaps were also great and loved the Indigenous owned feature.
My only gripe was the breakfast. When advertised as a buffet breakfast we certainly had more in mind.
It was a bit of a hyped continental that you would find at a basic best western.
Would have loved some healthy options like fresh fruit, boiled eggs.. the powdered eggs, hash browns and sausages daily gets a bit old.
I would challenge management just to try the hashbrowns.
Outside of the breakfast we had a great stay and found staff to be genuinely friendly and helpful.
We would come back!

Rooms were nice and cozy. Not much light, especially at the bathroom mirror. Either we had the loudest neighbors in the world on our hall, or the walls are paper thin, or both. We had to hear other guests exit and enter their room over 20 times each morning before 8, letting the door slam each time, with ski boots on. Fortunately the hot tubs were nice, staff was very friendly and helpful, and there is Nespresso in each room, love that perk.

We loved our stay at Canalta! The place was very clean and very cute! I loved all the decor and little touches! The breakfast as great every morning, and it was pretty close to town, so we enjoyed walking and enjoying the incredible scenery. Highly recommend!

The property was clean and had great amenities with amazing breakfast. We often found that the shower water was cold.

The hotel itself is cute and the staff are great but the room we were given (room 101) was in a high traffic location by the elevator and the kitchen/bar so we were kept awake by people or clanging of glass most of the nights and mornings. We also had an awful smell of sewage coming from the bathroom sink. Additionally, we loved the hot tubs but on the Friday night there was a really drunk man in there who claimed to be hired by the hotel to do some construction there for 5 days. He was drunk and belligerent to myself and another woman in the tub so two couples left to get away from him. I wanted to love this property. The girl at check in was great abd the young man serving at the bar was very kind and helpful but the other missteps took away from the weekend and we decided to cancel the reservations we had at Canalta for February and March.

Great place but the common areas are kept at a really high heat. It was very uncomfortable

We were so sad to leave! What a beautiful hotel! The outdoor hot tubs and sauna were lovely and we even braved the cold plunge pool! Breakfast was a great variety and delicious. The customer service we experienced from check in to check out was excellent. There is nothing bad to say about this hotel. 10/10 would stay again.

Stayed here a little over a week. The place was great super clean and staff was amazingly hospitable. The service and amenities were also great. Definitely one of the best places I’ve stayed at in Banff. Would recommend to anyone looking for good quality at a good price point.

Easy to find on the edge of town. 15min walk to the centre which will suit some more than others. Great staff always on hand to help. Breakfast good though was the same every day - there was enough choice for it to not be a problem. Parking was great. Bed’s comfortable and room service was sufficient. Would be happy to stay there again.

It's good that they provide free breakfast, but would be even better if they vary the items each day.

The distance from the centre of Banff is the furthest, the breakfast is really good, beds are not comfortable at all. It’s a very middle of the road hotel, be prepared to pay for parking.

Property was nice but our swim shorts were stolen by the cleaning staff. We left them behind in our room and they "disappeared ". Staff was very unhelpful. They kept promising to look for them and call us back. I called them three times! They finally called back only to tell us they couldn't find them. Very disappointed. Won't be staying there again.

Check in was a joke, until the manager took over, he was awesome, lady was garbage

Impeccable experience! Everyone was welcoming, friendly, helpful. Lawerence and Jordan in the concierge department had great recommendations, tips, and pointers to navigating the area! I even left my swimsuit and the hotel had suits to purchase, when I preferred a cheaper option, they weren’t insulted, and provided me a great recommendation in town! Just try the hot chocolate from Kristopher, and the daily smore hour!! Truly an amazing experience for my first time in the Banff area!! Canalta Lodge is a must stay, conveniently located to the heart of downtown. Lots of restaurants are in walking distance from the lodge! Stay here you, you won’t be disappointed!

Hotel was clean.
Easy check in and out.
Paid underground parking wasn’t cool. It should be included with hotel stay. This was disappointing.
We were facing Banff Avenue so traffic was a bit loud in the early mornings with tour bus.
The furnace was also loud so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper…and loads if lotion! Dry winter climate!
Would stay again.

Overall a great place to stay if you're in Banff! Staff friendly and helpful, close to bus stop to get you into the downtown core for all your shopping/dining/entertainment needs. The included breakfast was also quite good. The best part of course is the courtyard that has 2 hot tubs, a dry sauna and a cold plunge. They also has complimentary smores you can roast over the our door fires! Would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet relaxing stay while visiting Banff.
