Upon arrival the guy seen to be in a rush doing checkin. Once in the room. We know stains on the carpet, room has an odor, the toliet had a slow flush had to go back to the front desk to get that taken care of, the maintenance guy was quick on response once he received the call from the front desk,but still had a slow flush. The bed had lumps and the pillows was totally worned(its a good thing i brough my pillow so my husband could have the pillows to make a descent pillow). The cleanliness of the room could have been better. Finger prints on the mirror, I believe lotion or some sort was left on the bathroom door, and old washcloth left on the shower rod. We have had better experience, this one was not. First time visiting the Outer Banks I love it, just enough!!!

Our stay was very nice. Early May. Not crazy packed. Empty beach. Good location to good, shopping, & sites. The resort does appear dated (carpeting, 80’s cabinetry, worn couch, & 80’s dining set) but it appears they are working hard to update it a little at a time. Their banquet room was bring renovated during our stay. That being said the entire place was very clean. Well maintained facilities with plenty of friendly staff. The restaurant had delicious breakfast dishes & attentive servers. Our 2 bedroom unit had comfy beds and basic essentials. We would stay again.

Upon arriving, checking in was 5 minutes by an experienced, friendly gentleman.We open the door to our beach front roomand you immediately see the ocean. Room was immaculate, a microwave, refrigerator,cups, soap towels and an explanation paper on working the television.Also, a terrace with two chairs and a small table. The views were unbelievable, we even saw dolphins daily. The beds were great.Also, you have access to the beach from the second floor with a hose to wash the sand off. I forgot to mention the indoor heated pool and the fantastic breakfasts we enjoyed at the on-site resturant. We had a fabulous time and will definitely be back.

The room was much larger than expected with an ocean view for the price. Linens/bedding were clean but carpets were heavily stained and halls, stairways & elevator could all use a refresh.

Great location and solid breakfast options in restaurant. Right on the beach and plenty of room to relax. Furnishings need update, especially sleep sofa. Beach chairs and umbrellas need to be rented, disappointing. Nice kitchen supplies. Good access to many local restaurants and shops.

We pre-booked and paid in advance. The desk clerk was almost rude. The room was nice, oceanfront! The bed was hard for us. The room was very clean and roomy. Everything worked with a great heat system. I was at OBX for a surgical procedure so wanted a room with room service for breakfast before our trip home. No room service, short staffed. We went to the Bistro, and it was great. We had a very nice and friendly waitress and great food.

I stay at this hotel when I Birdwatch in the winter in the Outer Banks. When I book with Expedia, I get a $20 coupon that I use for their excellent breakfast. Their Wi-Fi is very fast. They have Turner classic movies. The place is always clean and the staff is very accommodating and kind.

Pool was warm, but pool room was freezing & no hot-tub, so did not use the pool. Hideabed couch was uncomfortable for sitting, cushions worn out, needed extra pillows to sit comfortably. Other chair was not the greatest either. Bed sheets were the roughest linen I have experienced in many years of travel. View was awesome, but we would not recommend this hotel...

Our room wasn’t clean. There was a beer can near the large sliding glass door to the balcony and the cover of the pull out couch had sand and other debris on it.

No surprises with fees, also they gave us a $20 coupon for the restaurant, which in the summer has great outdoor seating. Eh: Room has not been updated in awhile, so no USB ports, and everything is just older. Bed is okay in comfort.

Elevator out of service! Had to use stairs to get to and from our room on 4th floor. No advance notice before checking in that elevator was out of service. Our room has roaches. Roaches on kitchen counters, cabinets and drawers. Roaches in bathrooms and bedroom. Informed the front desk, the person at the desk said she would let someone know. NO APOLOGY! I WOULD NOT RECCOMENT THIS PROPERTY TO ANYONE!!! RUN AWAY!!!

Check in staff could have been friendlier. Rooms could use a good deep cleaning and the elevator was sketchy. The views, food at the restaurant, and restaurant staff made up for the rest. If we make it back to the OBX we’ll definitely enjoy another steak.

Dirty room. Couldnt sleep because it smelled like smoke. Kept window open and didnt help. It reeked of cigarrettes and we were in a non smoking area. Front desk didnt care. Dont recommend. Go to shutters or somewhere else.

The door on the balcony didn't lock. It was easily accessible to anyone. When i told the front desk about it, he mansplained to me how to lock a door. It WAS broken. Smoking on balconies. Pillows rock hard. Old, run down. Restaurant not enjoyable for breakfast. No room service even though room service fliers in room.

This was a one night stay over to break up a long road trip south from NJ … I was expecting a nice view but not such a nice hotel/room on top of it! REALLY loved everything about this stay. The view was breathtaking - even nicer than the pics look online. Everything was clean and smelled nice- the products were made of healthy ingredients & the staff went out of their way to make our dinner request exactly as ordered (which seems to be an impossibility these days where we live) we decided to try breakfast since we forgot to use a gift card we were presented when checking in & the breakfast place was right on the beach , super sunny and very surf shack style. We loved everything about this sty we’ll def be back

Was a filthy, dirty with stains all over. Staff doesn’t like their job. Front desk tried to crack couple of stupid jokes, not hospitable. But most of all please clean the room change the curtains, remove all the stains( looks like someone died on the carpet and sofa). Uncomfortable beds. Ugh!!

Perfect location. Close to a great area and right on the beach. But the rooms were nasty. Smelled so moldy and gross. Bathroom had sand on floor and tub had hair in it so wasn’t cleaned well. Looked like mold on the drapes. Floor felt wet. They should probably remove all the carpeting. I guess it is what it is. The location was perfect though.
