Excellent staff, very friendly and professional. Helpful. Beautiful hotel.

Hotel was fine, I was misled by the Expedia pictures in to believing there was a hot tub for guest use when it was only the suite. I also paid for spa access which caused the front desk staff several minutes of confusion for some reason even though it clearly said spa access paid for they had to take my phone and take several minutes delay for the check in process which was slightly unprofessional. Bathroom was very uncomfortable as it was tiny and I barely fit on the toilet. I am a small female and that bathroom is just way too small for any adult human. Nice amenities like slippers and the bed was very comfortable and quiet. Rooms very soundproofed and valet service was excellent.

Lovely hotel, walking distance to all city attractions, valet parking. Lovely large clean new rooms, breakfast was very tasty. Hotel gym is awesome for a hotel gym. Will stay again on next business trip.

The Melia hotel is fantastic. It's a beautiful hotel with spacious rooms and wonderful staff. Every staff member we interacted with was so friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed meeting them. The Melia rooms were spacious and very nice. We slept great on the comfortable beds. They have a fabulous indoor pool that you must use if you stay there. I highly recommend this hotel.

I’ve stayed here while on business several times. To me, it’s worth the premium because the location is quieter (especially at night), the rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly and helpful, and although the fitness center is small, it has a variety of new equipment.

It was so hard to get to the hotel. Stuff insisted to give them back the room key which was an old style card key or they’ll charged us $20 per key which we left at the room

It’s a cozy hotel that I like coming back to. The highlight is of course the pool in the basement - however, while this was included on my booking with hotels.com, the hotel initially said that this comes with a supplemental fee. Likely a failure of communication between platform and hotel, but I could have saved myself the argument - we did get access to the pool without paying extra in the end

Fantastic hotel, one of the best I’ve ever stayed in, everything was amazing!

Nice hotel, friendly helpful staff and excellent cocktails in the bar. Had more of a business hotel feel and was lacking the luxury of a top 5 star.

We stayed at this hotel for a long weekend. Everything from the location to the finest details were perfect. I cannot fault this hotel and I must add that the reception staff are very professional.

Excellent, lovely stay here, great breakfasts, drinks, style etc etc would use again.

Comfortable hotel, however not 5 star service.
Some little niggles as well, for example the shower temperature kept changing mid shower.
Breakfast was ok, coffee was poor for Italy and certainly had much better in 3 and 4 star hotels.

Quiet Clean and great staff service. 20-30 minutes walking distance to historic area and train station. It’s at a higher geographic position so walking back to hotel always an uphill element.

Had a great stay at wonderful, modern Melia Genova. Great air conditioning and shower and bathtub. Good workout facilities and pools.
Safe, clean, quite neighborhood 10 minute walk from historic Genoa with good bus access (pickup every eight minutes goes all the way to Stazione Principe). Taxi 10 euro to Stazione, as well. Scenic overlook to water and working port just down the street (with nice cafe).
Very friendly staff accommodated late checkout and stored bags.
Will stay here again next time in Genoa.

This is a marvelous hotel with wonderful, helpful service. We were completely happy with our room and the dinner in the restaurant. My cocktail was amazing! In the morning the staff helped us with directions to the train station, by walking outside with us to show us the path!

Our stay at Amelia hotel was excellent. We were travelling with a toddler and the accommodation was very comfortable, the staff members were very helpful and friendly and the hotel is in a great condition. We will definitely use it again if we pass by Genoa in the future.

I was in Genoa for business only, two nights. Great location to the shipyards; clean, updated rooms; comfortable bed; friendly, helpful staff; good (not great) exercise room (I didn’t use the spa). €25 for breakfast is steep if you eat light but I’ll definitely stay here my next visit.

Hotel is in a nice building, great part of town & the staff we’re very nice at check in and concierge - but the bed was uncomfortable. We love the hotel, but change change the beds!

Excellent hotel and location. Get out of hotel turn right go straight and take the stairs down to piazza De Ferrari. The only thing good that was average was tye breakfast. Rooms are great!! Great mattress and pillows.

Old rooms, not like pictures. Parking is expensive, but else it was great

This a hotel better suited for business , its okay to stay if you are a tourist but there is no charm , or something that keeps it worth remembering. Other than that room and bathroom are great .

Very rude male by name of Christian when I requested a different room because A/C didn’t work in original room
They lied saying no rooms available to switch
I insisted and they “found” another room and A/C DID work
I felt lied to and mistreated for requesting A/C at a 5 star Hotel…REALLY??!!
Have stayed at Melia for over 30 years
I’m not sure I will again after this episode

Really nice hotel in a good location. Well designed and we got the room for a good price. The only drawback was 36 euros to valet park overnight, which I thought very expensive (had previously paid 25 in Florence)
