Pretty views and it close to the entrance, the forest is amazing.
The owner wasn’t helpful or nice to us at all. He said he arranged us a forest guide and in the last minute sent her with another couple because they paid more. The other staff was nice and pleasant. We didn’t like the food and the shower had really weak flow.

The hotel is conveniently located at one of the entrance to Sinharaja.
Its a good, comfortable Hotel. The Breakfast was excellent.
The pool was nice, after a long drive.
The route can be a bit tricky. You have to travel about 4-5Km more than the google map location mentioned. A few road signs of the hotel would be helpful.

great location at the edge of the forest. great food!
There are many stray dogs who wonders everywhere including dining area which can be disturbing.

Incredible location, literally at the edge of the rainforest, therefore you can start your tour on foot from there. Only accessible through a tiny, partly gravel road, which can be overcome by the free hotel-pickup from Meridipitiya. Amazing view from each room through the glass-door front onto the rainforest-hill and the ponds in front, full of wildlife. Relaxing infinity pool including jacuzzi nozzles. Very friendly owner and service personnel, granting a long extension of checkout after the tour. Very good curry. Amazing nature sounds. All rooms had fans, which helped overcome the stuffy air. Three-person room offered the single bed on a gallery, which was a nice add-on.
Not so clean. The three-person room has no AC and no mosquito nets. Beds in the three-bed-room were not very comfortable, but all other rooms were modern and had great comfortable beds. The offered tours via explore Sinharaja were not worth their expense, for this price we would have expected a more informative tour by a more English-speaking guide.

The staff is very lovely and friendly. Great located at the end of the road close to the forest entry.
Noise of other guests or outside noise is easily noticeable as the rooms are right next to each other.

We booked five rooms there, but when we came, property manager said, that no rooms available. We had to look for new place to stay

No phone etiquettes, No proper details giving, No respect to the customers,Operation manager was very rude and he didn’t want us to stay and forced us to cancel booking which we made for two rooms through booking.com.he told me that the hotel is only for foreigners (which is not true)we were on vacation ,living in Europe and didn’t want to mention as we are sri lankan .
Seems they refusing booking.com clients as they need to pay commission
Unprofessional manager ever seen in hospitality sector need proper training

Great hotel. Access to the world natural heritage forest is outstanding. The hotel also provides excellent guides.
There is a restaurant attached, so you can always order cold juices and delicious food. The scenery that can be seen from the garden and windows is also outstanding. The hospitality of the staff is also polite, and they respond flexibly to the needs of customers.

I liked how close to nature the property is. It's literally at the edge of one of the entry points to Sinharaja. The property is well maintained, hence, a great place to just relax and disconnect from the busy world. The staff is very nice and at our request we were even able to change our room when we got there. Highly recommend a stay here to have a bit of peace and quite. All rooms overlook ponds full of lotuses and at night you can see fire flies buzzing around creating a magical atmosphere.
The electricity of the place kept coming in and out, although due to issues with the main grid and not at any fault of the property. If you have any mobile service provider other than the 2 main ones(Mobitel/Dialog) most likely you wouldn't receive any reception. The wifi signals at the property was quite unreliable as well. But, if you don't mind being completely disconnected for a bit, none of these should be a concern.

It‘s literally right at the edge of the rainforest and was awesome for our tour there. The pool was a great plus! The staff was really helpful and made us feel very welcome!
Because of the high humidity it was really stuffy in the room and the facilities need some upgrading. But the outside surroundings made up for it.

Great location by the sinharaja forest, would recommend if you want an all inclusive experience with guided tour offered by the hotel, restaurant, and amazing experience waking up in the middle of the forest to the sound of nature. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, as well.
It was a short stay so we did have the chance to encounter any inconveniences. You should probably note that the hotel can only be reached by the transfer to the closest village, which is offered by the hotel staff.

The environment and the surrounding was breathtaking. The fact that the hotel was built right at the entrance of the Sinharaja rainforest was really convenient. The staff were always available, helpful and friendly. Specially the stewardess Shani was hardworking and was attending to every need. She keeps the hotel running. She sure is an asset to the business. It is a very nice place to visit for hikers and trekkers.
So many facilities were mentioned in booking.com during the reservation for luxury suits but unfortunately, most of them were not given. The staff were very clueless about the facilities such as TV, washing machine, electric irons, board games etc. when we asked them. There are few things that needs a little attention.

For the price the place was amazing. It was the nearest hotel to Sinharaja Entrance. And the Staff was super friendly. They contacted the guide for us at a lower price and we went through Sinharaja forest for around 12 Km. Delicious food and the room was with a nice view.
Check out the link for the video we did😉😉: https://youtu.be/WPeCtC9KgI4
We booked the hotel with an offer. So we thought that we'd get a standard room just for a lower price. But it was not like that. It had no A/C and it was a bit hot. Otherwise, all was fine. For the price it was good. But if we had A/C that would be much better.

spacious room and view.
no Wi-Fi in the room, only available at restaurant. Room wasn’t clean.

Beautiful garden. Little swimmingpool.
The pictures of our room were nice, but it is a dark appartement. There is no washing machine inside.
There were only small sheets, 1 was torned. the rainforest walk organized by the hotel was at first very expensive. the first prize was $140 for 2 adults and 3 children. when we told them that we thought that was too expensive, it became 85 dollars for 6 hours of walking with a guide, including entrance and small lunch. Entrance fee for the park is 5 dollar for adults. Half for kids.
We had rainy weather and unless the shields every minute 3 leeches on our body. Our kids didn’t like it because of all these leeches.

The food tasted great and the one staff, a woman (the only we ever saw) was dealing great with the electricity blackouts abs was overall friendly and nice. She and the food were the only thing we could point out positively.
The owner! He was unprofessional, rude, impolite and ridiculous.
He even physically hurt me while being on his cheep as he hit a bush/tree and it stuck through the sides. He didn’t stop the car nor asked if everything is fine.
Rooms where dirty, full of insects and uncountable ants everywhere!
I wouldn’t wish anyone to be trapped with this owner in this facility, in the beautiful rainforest outback. Nature and surroundings are incredible, worth to see just not at this hotel under that owner

The location is great, next to the enterance of the rainforest. The beds are comfy and the garden is very well kept. You have a beautiful view of the forest and the garden with kingfishers and many other birds from the restaurant. The food is good, we loved the curry's. Especially the lady who manages the place is lovely and very caring.
The hotel sells overpriced tours and the owner of the place will try to convince you to book through him. One couple decided to go with someone else and he got very mad. We found that booking through someone else can save you a lot of money.
