Was a good hotel to stay at, busy due to a large event in town

Friendly staff and conveniently located.

Great checkin experience. Great location! The rooms are clean nothing special. I must have missed that there are no fridges in the rooms it seems no a days there just are.

Room was very dirty. Looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in awhile. Had to clean tops of desk, side tables and bathroom counters. No shampoo or soap in dispensers in shower.

Overall great stay

I found that the room was too bright when trying to sleep, both from window light (even with shades down) and from light under the door to the hall. Our experience was unfortunately not great due to drunk people in the hall at 2am. The sound really carried through the doors and we felt we didn’t have much privacy for our own conversations and time together because of the lack of sound barrier.

First time to stay. Great location. Many choices for dining vis walking. Parking poor but downtown location can be problematic.

No place to eat restaurant was closed

The elevator had some issues with shutting, but that was resolved after the second day. Some parts of the room needed some touch ups as far as chipped paint and tiles in the bathroom. The overall experience was great though! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful!!!

The hotel warns you upfront that it is a noisy area at night at weekends but you need to be deaf to be able to ignore the night trains that rumble by the hotel with their horns blasting away. Great location to stay --restaurant overpriced for what it offers

They charge now for the shuttle the reason I stay there is for the free shuttle service

Hotel was clean,busy but comfortable and close to our event. Staff was nice except said I didn’t get the credit $15for my stay through the site and I didn’t want to hold up everyone else so just let it go, couldn’t get it later either. Not a make or break deal but for the price paid for the night disappointed. It was walking distance from restaurants so we left the vehicle behind and enjoyed the walk. Slept great and would stay here again

Everything was great they had a really fun bar downstairs and one across the street.

The downtown area is full of great restaurants, attractions and entertainment and the hotel adds to its character. The hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly and even though the downtown area can be noisy on the weekends it was still a pleasant experience overall.

Very disappointed our room was not clean. The front desk staff was rude. Housekeeping was the worst we’ve ever encountered. The Lounge and there staff was great along with the food. Unfortunately we will not be returning.

If you’re a light sleeper this hotel is not for you. The walls are paper thin. You can hear people talking on the street even as I was on the 6th floor. You can hear everything on your floor and then the train that comes through blaring its horn at 3 am. Is not the ideal sleep situation. The decor is covering an old building. Pipes with sprinkler heads visible throughout the room. The breakfast buffet not so good. Nothing like cold eggs and just thawed out pancakes. The staff was gracious at check in and I had high hopes but was disappointed.

It was not a good experience. First we found an eyelash in the bed and a stain on the blanket. We kindly asked for the bed to be cleaned or simply just change the blankets. The manager was very rude about it. She told us we could check out. Just because they didn't want to change a blanket. Finally, they sent someone to clean it. Later that day we came back to nothing being changed. We went down once again and she asked us if she wanted to check out. Again, only over a blanket not being cleaned properly. The manager had more attitude and we simply asked for it to be cleaned, give us a new blanket, or refund us our money. Later someone finally changed our blankets. I didn't have the energy to fight over a simple blanket. I would not suggest staying here whatsoever!!

Beautiful property with a hint of a bygone era. Many good restaurants nearby and a short drive to hiking in the Black Hills.

So I travel allot, and sometimes I get some VIP perks. The night before checkout I asked for a noon checkout instead of 11am, the answer was no problem. So in the morning around 9:20 with a do not disturb sign on my door...knock on the door...housekeeping. I go to the door and call out that I have a 12 o'clock checkout and that I have the do not disturb sign on the door. So then again at 11am another knock on the door...housekeeping. So I leave at 11:30 and housekeeping is in the hall. I state that I got approval for a late checkout the night before and was that not communicated. The one housekeeper says to me that they get there later than that. Lame answer, I didn't feel like asking so why is normal checkout time 11am and you knock on my door at 9:20 with the do not disturb sign on my door. Even when I stay at a motel 6 they don't disturb me. Maybe management needs to give housekeeping some guidelines. Other than that I would say this is an upscale hotel, nice rooms and a great location.

We were visiting Rapid City and found the location within walking distance of things downtown. Pleasant staff and comfortable room. There were plenty of pillows on the bed which my wife likes.

Buffet needs to improve not keeping food warm enough. Staff was very friendly and helpful

After checking in, we discovered no bath towels and called the front desk, it took a long while for reception to pick up, got hung up the first time, the second time got through we asked for the towels, then we went out for dinner. After 2 hours when we got back we still didn’t get the towels. Another call was made, this time we talked to a different receptionist, and she got it done right away. We found out the first receptionist was stressed to take care of a incoming tour group.
