Welcome to The Getty House! Conveniently located just steps from the heart of The Gettysburgs square where you'll enjoy unforgettable dining and shopping options. This home combines modern decor with a mix of historical touches throughout the home. Bring the whole family, there's room for 7 people! Enjoy all that Gettysburg has to offer! After a day of enjoying the beautiful Battlefields, you'll enjoy a relaxing evening on the deck around the fire pit. We can't wait to host your next visit! The space Enter the home from the street or from a private rear access. The main entry way features a beautiful 1900's stair case with historic decor displayed on the walls. Living Room. The spacious living room offers a relaxing space to recline on the leather couch while enjoying a movie or TV show. The big historic windows gleans the light and greenery from the outside, giving a relaxing atmosphere of nature and history. Bedrooms The upstairs Master Room boasts a view of Gettysburg's historic district. Your king size memory foam mattress is sure to give you a welcoming night sleep. The bunk room offers a custom made bunk room and bean bags to deliver comfort and a home-like touch. The bunk room and Queen room both have balcony deck access. You'll enjoy an early morning breathe of fresh air as you walk out onto your deck. Dining Room The Dining room offers a custom handmade dining room made of chopping block. The decor on the walls display some authentic historical pieces of General Sickles, Abraham Lincoln and an art display of Lincolns Gettysburg Address. Outdoor Deck The dual-level deck offers a private entrance from the area and a private access from the Queen and bunk rooms. Your deck also offers a nice patio seating area with a gas fire pit. Guest access All guests will have keyless access to the front and rear door of the house. Front and Backdoor have keyless door entrances. Although we won't be there to greet you, you will be well equipped to get in and out of the property. You can easily access any of our hosts to answer any questions or problems you may encounter. Incredible location within walking distance to the main circle downtown. Plenty of restaurants nearby; I never had to get back in my car. The home was cozy and warm. Great value. I will stay here again.

What a wonderful place. Clean, comfortable, well stocked kitchen and bath. Centrally located, walkable to shops restaurants and attractions.
Had a minor problem and the owners were super responsive and helpful fixing it.
I would highly recommend the Getty House.

This property was just as advertised, cozy, comfortable and walking distance to downtown and minutes drive to historical sites. The beds and couch (with the electronic recliners) made the evenings after long days walking and exploring very relaxing! Communication with host and property manager was easy. Check and check out also easy. Enjoyed our stay at the Getty Home and the town of Gettysburg!

We stayed at the Getty House for 3 nights in late September. The house was really nice,…just as advertised. The location was amazing, close to everything. Though we had rain for the first half of our trip, we still were able to enjoy some indoor activities and shopping. Having a house to “stretch out in” during bad weather was a blessing. And, you can walk across the alley behind the house and enter Ernie’s Texas diner for a really great breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

It is a beautiful property, perfectly decorated, and central to everything. We were able to get coffee in the morning at a great spot around the corner. We would definitely stay here again and can't wait for our next visit!

Highly recommend the Getty House! The house was very nice and clean. Although we did not cook, the kitchen appeared to be adequately stocked. The outside deck had nice furniture and the fire pit was an added plus! We all commented that we would definitely stay here again. You cant beat the location. Just park your car and walk everywhere. The hosts of this home were incredible! They were welcoming and provided clear and precise informatio/instructions. They made the rental process and stay absolutely seamless!

The house was clean and well stocked. The air conditioner units were portable, and there was one in the dining and one in each bedroom. I have very bad asthma and need air conditioning. It took a long time for the house to be cool. The refrigerator is small and in bad shape. The bins on the bottom to hold supplies are both cracked down the middle, and the shelves are missing on the door of the refrigerator. Clean yes, but in poor condition. The laundry room is in the basement and, like all old houses, is very narrow, but the machines are in good condition and worked fine. This house is in a fantastic location! You can walk to restaurants and shopping, which we did.

We looked for a place close to the battlefield and the center of town and this was the perfect location. The home is historic and well preserved with great amenities. We highly recommend this home to rent especially for a family or friends wanting to share a place to stay.

I cannot speak highly enough of this funky, historic, thoughtful and unique home. The owner provided us with everything we needed to be comfortable, all in a fantastic location—walkable to everything but tucked into a quiet retreat. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

Getty House is solidly walkable to everything in Downtown Gettysburg and only about 5 minutes to the Battlefield. Good for one or two couples that want the best of both worlds for strolling up to the square but also close parking out back to drive the battlefield and explore the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed this quaint little house in the heart of Gettysburg. Just a short drive to the battlefield and in walking distance of everywhere you’d want to go in town. I highly recommend Mr. G’s Ice Cream and Gettysburg Baking Co.! Clean and comfortable property, and the host was good about communicating with us. We would stay here again if coming back to Gettysburg.

We had everything we needed for a great reunion with friends and we didn't even manage to use the firepit on the deck. The decor is crisp andnsoothing, beds comfortable, kitchen well-supplied, the feel of the place historic, and all a
short stroll to Lincoln Square in the heart of downtown Gettysburg (perfectly decked out in holiday splendor when we were there awaiting the filming of a Hallmark like movie). There is traffic noise because it is on a main street but it didn't take away from our enjoyment. Thank you!

My fiend and I took a quick weekend get away before the craziness of the holidays. The house is right off the main square in Gettysburg and within easy walking distance of all the best shops and restaurants.
The house was spotlessly clean, thoughtfully decorated, and just charming.
I would happily stay here again and recommend the same to anyone looking for a great Gettysburg experience.
