Nestled in Ocean Beach, this attractive house for R 8,446 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. My home (built in 2008) is at the beach. House is detached and gated--away from crowds or shared common spaces--giving you the opportunity to be safe and relaxed while overlooking the ocean. Ideal guests are early-to-bed, early-to-rise. Kindly read entire listing prior to booking to ensure it is a good fit for you.. ***No unregistered guests are allowed on the property without prior written approval.***. Check-in cut-off time is 9pm (because we are in a quiet residential area). While my listing is newer on VRBO, I have been renting on another platform since 2016 with very positive reviews. DETAILS OF THE HOUSE ENTRY - Narrow Garage Entry -- accessed through alley (not front of house) - Also a pedestrian gate that you access through the alley - Narrow passageway to full set of stairs to access main house: (you will pass our studio apartment, which is a separate rental located adjacent to garage and beneath the main house) BOTTOM FLOOR: - Queen Bedroom with en suite full bath - King Bedroom with adjacent full bath - Stacking Washer/Dryer in hallway closet TOP FLOOR: - Small kitchen with basics (pots/pans/glasses/olive oil/salt pepper) - Sofa-bed (that divides into both a Queen sleeper and a Twin sleeper) - 1/2 bath - Dining table overlooking ocean - Deck with outdoor dining table overlooking ocean TO NOTE: NOT A PARTY HOUSE Please keep noise to a reasonable level. You will be asked to leave immediately (forfeiting rental fees and deposit) if unapproved unregistered guests enter the property or if you disturb our neighbors. PARKING Two tandem parking spots in garage. It's a tight fit to get in, so smaller cars get in easier. Clearance of garage is 92" wide and 76" high. If renting a car, we recommend a smaller car. Most mid-size SUVs will fit fine with care. Large SUVs can also fit, but tall trucks typically do not fit. Our front neighbors use the other side of the shared garage. STAIRS ON STAIRS There is a flight of stairs to get into the main house, and another flight of stairs to get to kitchen/living area. If you have infants, small children or mobility issues, please consider if this is the right property for you. CLOSE TO AIRPORT - AND HOUSE IS IN FLIGHT PATH My home is 4 miles to the airport, providing easy access. Please note that Ocean Beach is in the flight path and planes fly from 6:30am to 11:30pm. TWO HOUSES ON A LOT My property is the back house of two houses on a lot, and you will access the property through the garage or gate facing the alley. My front neighbors are there full time. WE ALSO RENT OUT A SEPARATE STUDIO APT There is no shared space or ventilation between the two units. It's a great added space if you want a third (separate) bedroom. BEACH ACCESS/VIEW: My home is 50 steps to the beach, not "right on the beach", as there is an apartment building, an alley, a park, then the beach. The view from the top deck and living room is breath-taking. IT'S A HOME - NOT A HOTEL Early check-ins and late check-outs may be challenging and we do not have a place to store luggage. Unlike hotels, the sooner (at booking, preferably) you ask for flexibility, the more likely we can accommodate. Last minute requests are likely to be denied -- as we set the cleaning schedule as far out as possible. Go to Stasher (or other luggage storage site) to find storage options. ELECTRONIC ENTRY Each guest has a customized code to maximize convenience. No other codes will work to enter the house during your stay to maximize your safety. CHECK-IN TIME IS 3p (and prefer before 9p). And, check-out time is 11am. GUESTS AGREE TO GOOD-NEIGHBOR POLICIES -- including abiding by all local laws (including but not limited to -- no fireworks, no drones, no illegal parking and 10p quiet hours). EXTERNAL SECURITY CAMERAS: Located outside and inside the garage, the walkway into property and in the courtyard. SEA WORLD FIREWORKS: SeaWorld has fireworks on many holidays and seasons . This is 3 miles away and visible from our top deck. See their website for dates. HOMELESS: We have never had a negative report or situation from our guests, but I want to let you know before booking that you will see homeless people in our community.

Extraordinary! This is by far the best Vrbo house I’ve ever stayed in. Husband and I rented with another couple for 4 days and it lived up to every hope and then some. The host has thought of everything and I was amazed at all the little extras that she put into making the house the best it can be. Clean, clean, clean, and the photos are exactly what you get. You are that close to the beach! We sat out all morning and watched the surfers, yogis, and doggies. Beverly got it right! Kudos to her!

This is a wonderful, very clean & comfortable home with stunning views of Ocean Beach. You can sit inside or outside on the open air balcony and watch the surfers or volleyball games, and eat at your choice of authentic local restaurants just a few blocks away. Ocean Beach is an eclectic area with a lot of local charm. Owner was communicative and nice, and the property was secure and offered a lot of choices of both indoor and outdoor spaces, as well as beach gear if you want to spend your days on the beach (which is literal steps away from your front door). We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Everything about this place and it’s owner, Beverly, is amazing! Amazing location and amazing views. Steps from the beach or watch the sunsets from the living room or outside patio. Close to restaurants and shopping, all with in walking distance. Definitely staying here again, can’t wait to come back!

We traveled to California for my son’s soccer E64 Nationals. We decided to extend our stay in O.B. This place was awesome! It had it all, exactly as listed! Great central location, views and all amenities. Felt like a home away from home. Would definitely rent again and highly recommend.

Beverly is a woman after my own ocd cleanliness heart! She has made this home so perfect and comfortable for visitors. Everything is labeled and has a place and there is nothing that you will need that she hasn’t already thought of. Tons of hangers to hang all clothes, hampers, and drawer space. This is a big deal for me as I like to fully unpack when I stay somewhere. As a side note we were able to fit a full size suv and a standard sized hatchback in the tandem garage. The view from the living room and desk are gorgeous and the quick walk to the beach was perfect. It was nice to have access to beach toys, chairs and boogie boards as well. One of my favorite things to do in SD is go to dog beach and watch the dogs play in the water. A quick 3 min walk and you’re there. I highly recommend this property.

The location of this rental is in Ocean Beach which is a more eclectic part of San Diego. The location is within walking distance of exceptional restaurants and shops. There happened to a Farmer's Market on Wednesday night which added to the "laid back" flavor of the town. Two of the restaurants we would recommend are Hodad;s and Blue Water OB. This rental has a picture window of the ocean/beach which was spectacular. There is also a deck through sliders of the same view available to sit out, hear the ocean, watch the many surfers, and watch beautiful sunsets. There is nothing lacking. The host has taken steps to take care of all your needs during your stay. The cleanliness and organization was beyond our expectations and our standards are high and typically hard to meet. Everything is labeled and directions are available when needed. There are many amenities cutting back on the things you need to bring/purchase. This rental comes highly recommended.

Our family just got done with a wonderful 9-night stay in OB. The apartment is as advertised. The view of the ocean from the apartment is one of its nicest features, very peaceful and soothing. Was nice to be able to walk to the beach barefoot and have the apt. so close to return to. The garage parking was very convenient, but it is for smaller cars. We had to get ahold of the owner once, and Beverly responded immediately which was a great help. Beverly is friendly and accommodating and we enjoyed having her as a host. Lots of beach toys and chairs including boogie boards are provided. The location is within walking distance of Newport Ave which is the main street on OB with lots of shops and restaurants. Plus, there is a nice coffee shop just around the corner. Very easy to walk out on the pier. The airplane noise did not bother any of us. Ocean Beach "OB" is a beach community that has had the same "Vibe" for many years. Great place to vacation! Would enjoy staying at Beverly's place again someday.

I had a great experience staying here. The place was clean, looked exactly like the photos, and right by the beach. Beverly has done a great job setting up a great home and experience for guests. Everything was very well thought out (from the check-in process, extra beach equipment to use, airplay enabled TVs, board games, washer/dryer with detergent, etc.). Would definitely stay here again.
