Location and staff
On lower level and noisy but to be expected

Bonne localisation.
Propreté de la chambre discutable. Petite terrasse intéressante autour de la piscine, mais bruyante avec le bruit des thermopompes et du moteur de piscine

not a lot !
cockroaches in the bathroom and in the sitting room, so small way over priced for what it is, very damp, dirty sheets and in all worse place i have ever stayed in. Sorry to say as the staff were all very nice.

location was convenient, cute little courtyard and pool, lobby had drinks and snacks

Location is PERFECT. Room is cool and very well conditioned, nothing is better - coming in from the muggy heat. Cold lemon water and morning coffee in the lobby. Very friendly stuff. 2 pools, that we didn't use, but have seen people having a blast there. Like 10 min walk to 24 H Cafe du Monde, like 5 to Lafitte's tavern. We would come back and enjoy this vibrant environment at any moment. Loved the trip. Thank you.
Nothing. Because the hotel itself is very very old and you see and feel it at every moment - if your goal is Hilton quality and expectation - don't go, your expectations will not be met. If you are flexible and want to really feel where you are - that IS the place! It is located in Vieux Carre, just couple of blocks from Bourbon. Perfect location for people looking to experience heart of the French Quarter and not setting their bar to high. Great value for the price. Thank you.

The friendly sweet cat in the courtyard. She was the best!
Giant roaches outside and inside hotel. No pool towels.

Location in French Quarter very good...close but still quiet. Nice to have parking across the street from the hotel, even though it did cost an extra $50. Rooms had fridge and microwave in addition to toiletries and hairdryer.
Room not very clean. The bathroom floor had not been swept and there was dirt and trash from previous occupants behind bathroom door. Towels were very rough and slightly stained. Bed was very high so not comfortable to sit on to dress or watch tv. Would have been nice to have 2 chairs for sitting versus 1 and get rid of the large second dresser. Also only 1 each decaf and regular coffee pods in the room. Would have been nice to have 2 of each. There was coffee in the lobby but no one told us about that at check in. Railing on stairwell leading to our room was broken.

The rooms were nice and clean. It was in the middle of everything. Nice location.
It was no bag handler. It was not handicap accessible. There was not enough railings. There was no hot breakfast. The t.v. would not come on. The shower curtain was broke.

The location was great. However, I'd upgrade to a nicer hotel for the price we paid. It was definitely not worth it. The rooms were dirty, the bed was so uncomfortable you could feel the springs in your back, there was an eye lash left behind on the sink, hair in the tub. They provided you with a small heater that does not heat up your room as it should. It was 40° while we visited and were freezing at night even with the heater on. The blankets were paper thin and not warm at all. The walls are also very thin you can hear the people next door as if they were standing next to you.
There was a review that stuck with me during our stay about belonging being stolen from a room here. We had stayed in the Duke Ellington room and since there was no safe to keep your belongings in so I created my own security system with the closet doors. Well, needless to say that back fired on me. During our stay, there was a power outage, and guess where the power box was? Yepp, our closet. I was called by the manager who was not pleasant at all. He said "we need you to come back we need access to your room for the power box". I told him we were currently in downtown, and I wasn't sure how long it would take us to get back there on the bus. He said ok? As if it was an inconvenience for him. When we got there, we gave them access to the room. The manager did not apologize for this inconvenience, no discount, no nothing.
We will definitely not be staying here again.

The staff and location were great for our stay. The hotel is very old and showed its age but our stay was comfortable. We were only there for one night so it met our needs. The lobby is very cute and has been updated and modernized.

the staff is awesome and very friendly. it was a good location close to the quarter but far enough away from the noise. the bed was nice and comfortable with nice furniture

The location is a plus, you can walk around and feel the city vibes without being in the crowd. The room was very clean and comfortable.

The room's entry door needs a little rethinking. There are two lights outside which light up the inside a lot, so we closed the storm shutters, which helped a lot, but still had to hang up a T-shirt over the top to block the rest of the light. Maybe add pull-down shades to darken the room?

Housekeeping staff was plesant. Great store across the street
Was not clean. My room had mold and mildew on the walls and ceiling. Horrible smell throughout the room and hotel. It was not the muggy weather.
The next day I informed the front desk and requested another room, my request was ignored.

I liked the historical building

it was in the middle of the French Quarter, so we could walk to most places instead of taking a car. my girlfriend loved to to sit in one of the patio area and enjoy the nice weather. And the room was nice and quaint. The swimming pool look nice but we didn’t go swimming.
We notice The Fossett for the bathtub was leaking (onto the floor) whenever we use the shower, The mini refrigerator didn’t close all the way and our drinks got warm. and the floors seem to be grimy.

The staff was friendly
The room was filthy. So was the bathroom. There was someone else's shaver and hair in the shower! Absolutely disgusting! We asked them three times before they "cleaned" it! water backed up in the shower, too, so I couldn't use it. The staff was sweet and kept saying they'll fix it but nothing happened! Nice sweet lies to our face.
Most disappointing stay ever! And we do travel a lot!

The location is great. Just a few blocks from bourbon street. They accepted our fur babies.
The room was a little small. They didn't provide a continental breakfast.
