This was the prettiest property we have ever stayed in. My Dad and my kids do a trip this time of year annually and this was our first time in Siesta Key. We will absolutely go back! We really loved this house!

The house was perfect for our stay. The 5 minute drive to the beautiful Siesta Key Beach and Village was great. The private pool even better for those night swims!! So many nice areas in this tastefully decorated home to sit and visit or just relax. We enjoyed the large round table in the family room for game playing! The large dining table was so nice to all sit together for meals.
We had one issue with the master shower and contacted the agency at 11:30p Friday evening. A serviceman was on-site Saturday morning by 10am. Such prompt response was so very appreciated.
The 1 and only negative comment we can make is the road noise while poolside.

Great house for a family vacation! It was clean and the pool was great. It had plenty of parking and was a good location. The only thing I would have to say is a “negative” is that the bath tub needs some upgrading. It is a block away from a VERY small beach that you could walk to but we just got in the car and it was only like a 5 min drive to siesta Key beach so it was great.
I will definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay here and the pool was a big hit with our family. Loved the tropical trees and plants....it was like having our own little oasis. The yard is fenced which was really nice for the dog too.

There are only 3 bedrooms, the living room with a couch/pullout is the 4th bedroom. The complaints of noise from the road from the other reviews were overstated. We didn't hear any traffic in the unit. There is some noise from the road when using the pool.

Easy and enjoyable
Check in was easy, communication was easy, the only thing I would change is that the pool cleaner was broken so it was difficult to get the leaves out of the pool. Otherwise it was great.

This house has charm, however I think because owners are selling they don’t care about the cosmetic issues. With that being said those little issues really don’t matter, because the interior design was super chic. Only complaints is the highway is literally beside the house and the street is none stop noise all hours of the night, so TVs in the bedrooms would be nice to drown out noise. The pool constantly had debris from the trees, but that’s typical since it didn’t have enclosure. Lastly, the beach on the next road is TINY and crowded, but with a quick drive you can hit another public access! We throughly enjoyed our stay, and like my title says this house got the job done!

The house is as it looks online, very open, bright, clean, and tropical. It’s on the highway, so our rented bikes for tweens weren’t very useful. We ended up driving to the main, and amazing, Siesta Key Beach. Kids loved the pool. I felt the price was totally fair for the house. It was great to have a new washer/dryer. My only suggestion is to add more dishes/silverware/beach towels. The house is for sale and there is a feeling that the owners don’t want to add another penny to their investment. But like I said, for the rental price, I was very happy about the space.

House is confortable. It needs some updates. Some of the newest updates are poorly done and it makes the house look unkept. The house has the potential to be wonderful.
Kitchen and laundry are well equipped.
Hallway bathroom toilet needs to be changed .... it did not work at all and shower drain in clogged.
But the house gave us what we were looking for. A week with family , privacy away from large crowds and fun memories.

The house was lovely, well cleaned when we arrived, and included everything you could need for a beach vacation. The surrounding grounds were a beautiful tropical sanctuary vibe, and the pool was large and maintained well. A two minute walk to a small public beach was convienent and fun, if you have a small family. Not really ideal for a lot a small kids though as the street can be busy. The house does include a small screened-in lanai in the back, but the pool is outside. The pool has sun exposure for majority of the day which is nice. There were really only two things about the house that I felt could use improvements; 1) the beds are a little to soft with average support (especially the master bedroom) and 2) the house is NOT fully fenced in or gated. This is not conducive if you have small kids or bring a dog. With a little creativity you can temporarily close it in, but it would be perfect if permanent gates were added to fully close in the house.

The house was clean and provided us a place close to beach. The pool was great for kids to swim in, and the kids love the huge couch/TV room. The tropical tropical storm limited our time outdoors- also showed the skylight in family room leaks pretty good under heavy rain.

Overall good
Overall, this is a very nice property and during "normal" times would offer a wonderful stay.
We had a terrible time reporting issues. Upon arrival, the internet and television did not work. We received an error message that the bill needed to be paid. We tried several times to contact the rental company. We eventually did contact them and reset the system- which still didn't resolve it. He (Jon) said a tech would be out, but NEVER showed up.
I called Siesta Key Rentals everyday and left messages but no one called back.
Five days into our vacation during a quarantine, the bill must have been paid and the internet and tv started working again.
The bedrooms are RIDICULOUSLY bright in the morning- no sleeping in on this vacation.
The vacuum cleaner was broke.
The house was VERY clean, and well kept.
Pool was nice and clean, but adjacent to a busy street (but was separated by a concrete wall.
The location was PRIME to downtown Siesta Key.

Siesta hideaway
The front of the house was hidden & not much to look at but the inside was emasculate and the pool was well maintained with all that sunshine the water temperature was just right.... my only complaint would be that when we arrived on Saturday the trash had not been emptied outside at all and both huge cans were filled to the max, so we had to deal with walking by the smelly cans for 3 days until trash day....... other than that great house, and would definitely recommend.

Great house!
My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house. Pros: the house itself is gorgeous, the pool is amazing, rental and check in process was smooth and easy. Cons: there’s only one TV in the whole house, and the Shell Rd. Beach access is not at all good for kids. The walk down Higel is a bit dangerous, and the beach itself is small. There are boats going really fast really close to the beach. We only went to this access once, and only stayed a short tome. We drove to the other public accesses the remainder of the week, which was perfectly fine with us. I wouldn’t recommend walking to the Shell Rd. Access with children under 12 at all. Overall, we would definitely stay here again!

This house was great for my family's vacation and had everything we needed. The pool was nice to have on days we did not want to go to the beach. Shell beach, which is walking distance or a short drive, is a small beach and the sand does not feel the same as the powder sand on siesta key beach. We only went there one day and chose to drive to the public beach the other days since Shell beach was small. Not much rooms for the kids to run around. Great for collecting seashells though! The house had extra beach towels and chairs, but we had to buy floats for the pool. A very short drive to Trader Joes and grocery store and downtown siesta key.

Overall, we had a great week! The house is located on the far north edge of Siesta Key, almost 2 miles from town. The downside to this is that we ended up having to drive into town when we wanted to go, sitting in traffic and struggling to find parking. The good news, was that when we wanted to go to Sarasota, it was a 10 minute trip, which we ended up enjoying! The great room and pool combo are great. The house needs some general TLC; painting, lanscaping, etc... Nothing that really affects your ability to stay and enjoy yourself. One thing I would jus mention is that the house sits next to the main road, Siesta Dr. Hopefully it is not like this when it is not spring break, but during our stay, traffic noise was noticeable, as were loud radios. Once again, we had and amazing, memorable experience, but these are things I would have like to known.

First time using HomeAway as well as first time in Siesta Key. Plenty of room for our family (4 kids). House was clean and equipped. Only 1 television (might be nice to have one more). Short walk to Shell Beach. Pool was great! Close to Village for shopping and eating. Absolutely loved our vacation!

This three bedroom, two full bath single family home give just that "family", but would also suit couples (which we were, two couples)...the family room is large, beautiful sunlit windows going to the wonderful in-ground pool. The kitchen evokes wanting to be the "chef" but also says "vacation!" This would be a great space to have friends and family over for a dinner, plenty of room, plenty of everything! Would definitely recommend!
