We had the best time visiting Florence and staying in Marco’s apartment. The apartment looks just like the pictures and has everything you need for your Florence adventure. Marco was incredibly helpful and responsive. He met us at the apartment to show us around and even gave us a bottle of Chianti- which we loved. The apartment is a quick 15 min walk from just about anywhere in Florence you’d want to visit. We definitely recommend staying here!

A beautiful, clean and comfortable apartment that is true to its photos. Located in a quiet street close by beautiful attractions, delicious restaurants, and shops, this location is ideal for travelers looking to explore and fall in love with Florence! Marco is an exceptional host who is responsive in our communications and made himself open for further questions at any time during our stay. We were given a brief description of the area, and Marco's recommendations on local restaurants - it was much appreciated for us first time explorers of the beautiful city of Florence! We would definitely love to book with Marco again for this apartment should we ever get a chance to visit in the future.

Sweet apartment and location
The apartment is bigger than it appears. Lots of drawer and closet space. Marco did a wonderful job furnishing it. (Tip: if you want to use the top bolt, have Marco explain how to unlock it. There may have been a few moments of calm panic my first morning...) Then there's Oltrarno: fantastic area. There is an entrance to Boboli Garden right by the Porta Romana, lots of buses, places to get breakfast. There are many ateliers in the area, so if you like fine and unique clothes, it's far better than Via Tournabourni. It also felt safe to me as a woman traveling solo. Marco was a wonderful host, responding quickly to a couple requests and making good restaurant recommendations. Can't wait to return!

Perfect Location
The apartment is a perfect Florentine experience. Marco was wonderful and attentive. It is close enough to everything you would want to see in Florence, but far enough away from the crowds to relax. We would DEFINITELY stay here when we return to Florence!

Great place and host with authentic feel
Starting from an easy trip from the train station with a close bus stop, Marco's place was everything we could've asked for. Marco was very friendly and met us at the bus station in the rain and helped us carry our bags. The apartment was exactly what my wife and I wanted; an authentic Italian apartment in an old building not surrounded by tourists but still close enough to walk everywhere or hop on a quick bus ride if needed. I've got nothing but great things to say about Marco and his apartment and would be more than happy to stay here again.

Perfectly located, comfortable place.
Marco was wonderful! He was very easy to get ahold of and checked in with us before our trip to prepare us with details on how to get there from the train station. As we were walking up to his place we were greeted with a friendly hello from the upstairs window. We instantly felt welcome. He gave us a tour then gave us a bottle of wine as a gift! It was a warm romantic stay with my fiancé. The butcher across the street has amazing food and the mini market four doors down has everything you might need including great prices. It was a short walk (maybe 10 minutes, all flat) to the Ponte Vecchio through safe and friendly neighborhoods. It’s also literally across the street from the Boboli Gardens which was one of the highlights of our trip. We can’t wait to return to Florence and when we do, we look forward to staying here again! Thank you Marco!

Much larger than we expected!
Very clean property and Marco was very nice. It took a minute to figure out how to light the cooking stove , but that was not a problem. A really great location

First of all, I speak Italian very well , have numerous Italian life-long friends so the issue of miscommunication is not an issue here!. Marco gave me cell phone #'s of his friend and his mother since he was away the day I arrived. Gave his friend 400 euros as I owed 388; he didn't have change and said he'd come back and leave on the table. NEVER GOT MY CHANGE! Whether it's 12 or 120 euros isn't the issue, the honesty is--I called his friend 3 times and while it wasn't difficult to reach him to set up meeting upon arrival, he never answered 3 times nor returned the call. Called his mom, she was rude from the get-go--So to me this was very unprofessional. OTHER THINGS --# 1--shower head kept falling off so you have a tiny shower, have to hold shower head in one hand and soap in another--pain in the ___!! # 2-- No waste basket in bathroom; friend's daughter came to pick me up for dinner, she had to "change something" in the bathroom, didn't want to throw in the toilet, I guess you take things from the bathroom to the kitchen wastebaskets?? #3 Everywhere we/I have been there is soap and shampoo; not here, just some hand soap in bathroom; so you arrive after a trip, go to the bathroom and not only can't take a shower easily, but there is no soap nor shampoo..#4 The bed was fine-rigid as he had promised but lumpy pillows, yellow stained, and my head itched all the time as I wondered if they had anything to do with it, not sure. #5 While the street noise isn't an issue, the bedroom window is at a courtyard where you can here people talking at 1am ;certainly not Marco's fault but not my cup of tea.SO if you're 20 and "roughing it" as I did way back when, it's probably Ok except for the issue of the $$$ not being handled professionally; if you prefer not to have the hassles I mentioned, look somewhere else. Sorry to give only a 1 star rating, but when one pays a bill, the least one should expect is the change owed to them, along with the other issues mentioned.

It is really a very nice apartment and Marco treated us very well.
We loved the apartment and Marco went out of his way to make sure we felt welcomed. The kitchen was sufficient to cook dinners, although there are many places nearby to eat. The only thing I wish it had was AC. We were there in July and we could open the windows at night to cool the apartment but it was warmer than what we were accustomed to. It is in the Oltrarno which we like, and it is close to several bus lines. Nice location!

Perfect location for visiting Florence!
What I loved about staying in Marco's apartment is the convenience to everywhere and Marco himself. He will help you in whatever way he can, and you can come to Florence and live like a local. I will come back one day and do it all over.

Great time at Marco's apartment!!!
We had a great stay at the apartment and felt at home very quickly. The apartment's location was fabulous for us. We walked everywhere and got everywhere not just on time but easily. We had a mini market a few steps away and Ponte Vecchio as well as most of the main attractions a few minutes away. There was a fan so we had some ventilation at night. The kitchen is very well equipped and the entire apartment is well furnished. Overall, our stay was excellent and would definitely recommend!

Wonderful Apartment, Wonderful Visit
We stayed in this apartment for a week in July 2013. Marco was extremely welcoming and extremely helpful in finding parking and getting us settled. If you are driving, parking is extremely close and easy to access. It is located just inside the wall and we used this apartment as a "homebase", making day trips to the foothills. The apartment was very homey with everything that you needed to stay in and cook if you want. We were able to walk to everything within Florence and it was not in a touristy area which was nice. The only con was that it did get a little warm some nights. The apartment was not air conditioned and the air flow was not great with the windows opened. That being said, we would still stay here again. We had an amazing stay while in Florence and this apartment added to the great memories! We highly recommend staying here!!

Apartment in a nice place
"Apartment was in a nice place, however it has a horrible, very narrow staircase , the light there did not work and to walk the stairs to the third floor was a risk. The window in a bedroom is permanently closed due to the fact that it overlooks the filthy very small yard. Beds are not comfortable."

Estancia excelente!
El apartamento nos ha encantado! 100% recomendable! Muchas gracias Marco !!

Excellent property and warm welcome
The apartment is well equipped, very nicely furnished and is in a perfect location, close to the centre. Marco was a pleasure to deal with prior to the visit and his mum gave us a very warm welcome on arrival (Marco was out of the city when we arrived). This made us feel comfortable and happy in the property immediately and set the tone for the rest of the stay in Firenze. A great city made all the more enjoyable by staying in this apartment!
I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone and would love to stay there again in future.
