Amazing facilities with many options for sleeping arrangements, cooking, relaxing and great base to access not only places in Christchurch but the motorway and the airport. Quick and easy to shopping or eating places.

Friendly hosts who have stocked the apartment with anything you might need for your stay - games, extra bedding, kitchen appliances etc. Particularly prepared for families and little ones. Highly recommended :)

We stayed at the Pumphouse Apt for two nights after having flown in from the USA through Auckland and a domestic flight to Christchurch to begin our two weeks in the South Is. The location near the airport and car rental was perfect. Just a 10 minute drive and the owner, Helen met us to check in. She and her family live next door. The apt was clean, homie, and well appointed. It is also within about 10 mins by car to various stores and restaurants. The place was quiet and even has the family dog, Monty stopping by to look in slider hoping you will say hello. The apt has a queen bed and twin bed and plenty of bedding. It’s was a refreshing layover to catch up from the long flights and acquire the items we needed for the trip around the island. Helen was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We would highly recommend staying here if the place fits your specific needs. We think you will agree with our review.

The premises were great. Very clean and well looked after. Hosts were great and communication was very easy.
Location is great and very close to the local shopping area
I hope to return to this premise at some point in the future.
Only disappointment was that we didn’t get to meet Monty the dog. :)

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything we needed, and more, was provided. We were warm and toasty even though the weather wasn't the best. Very warm and comfortable beds. Helen was very friendly and welcoming.

We loved staying at the Pumphouse apartment, with welcoming and lovely hosts. Apartment was private, clean, well appointed and cosy. Walking distance to Bishopdale shops and easy access to get back onto highway. "Monty" the resident dog delightful ! Recommended to all travellers. Thankyou Helen and Lee for the fabulous stay!

Extremely easy to find & access, well stocked and very clean. Was especially delighted to have access to the family dog, Monty - he loves belly rubs and we waited in eager anticipation for each of his visits through the unit’s open sliding door 🐾

Hi Helen!! thank you so so much for letting my family stay in your home, it was honestly such a perfect lovely and cozy little place that we enjoyed a tonne!! we didn’t want to leave, we wish we could have stayed longer so that we could have fully enjoyed everything your place had to offer including the backyard with the trampoline and other fun things for the kids - it was too short a time and we also fully loved being able to interact and pet Monty as well - such a super cute & friendly dog 😍😍 we did leave a few cupboard items behind for the next person to enjoy and hope that was okay with you to do 😩 also I hope that we left the place clean, tidy & at least decent as it was when we arrived! thank you and your husband again so so much, you guys are super sweet and lovely people who made us feel so welcome and hope to revisit and stay @your place again soon!! xx

An amazing place to stay with everything you need (and more!). Comfortable beds and spacious lounge. Kitchen is wonderfully stocked. Quiet location and warm inside with off street parking. Highly recommend and will definitely be the first accommodation we look up if coming to Christchurch again. I would happily bring my family with younger children too.

A Short Holiday Away
Upon arriving at the property we found it clean and inviting; it was exactly what we were looking for. Couldn’t ask for a better place to relax and spend time with family. The place is close to the city centre and many other awesome places but it is also allows for chill time. Would definitely recommend. *side note the host are also really nice and accommodating.

The pump house is bigger than the photos show, there was two beds available in the lounge space as well as the couches which was perfect for our family. The apartment has everything you need, and is private and quiet despite the seemingly busy location. Hosts were helpful and the kids enjoyed the garden space to play in.

This property is an absolute jewel. Very spacious living area for hosting visitors. The bed extremely warm and comfortable. Very quiet with little road or airport noise. I have never experienced such a well equipped kitchen, there is everything you need and in such abundance, not just 4 or 6 plates etc., Parking is right at the door. This accommodation is managed by Helen who is a wonderful hostess. I high recommend The Pumphouse to all. Thank you Helen.

Single person stayed 4 nights.
Everything was 5 star from a fantastic host to a beautiful property. More than met e expectations. The bed was so comfortable, great shower.
Plenty of off street parking.
The little extras were nice with books to read to cereals, margarine and milk in the fridge. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again. I stayed 4 nights.
Highly recommend.
