Free overnight car parking in the centre of Cork and a clean well decorated room with a large comfortable bed and excellent facilities on the ground floor enabling disability access. Friendly and helpful owner provided keys for late re-entry and an outstanding cooked breakfast each morning. The location was perfect on the west edge of the city island with the tidal River Lee in front of the B&B and walking access to all the main sights of Cork. She spent time to guide us to nearby pubs and restaurants including Costigan's which is only 150 metres to the east (listed as the number (1) Cork City pub by Trip Advisor travellers and renowned for the best Guinness in Cork and in the evenings some of the best craic and music). A great B&B and we hope to return.

Great location for a visit to Cork and Kinsale. Room and bed were comfortable and bathroom was great. Breakfast was wonderful and our host Aideen had a great sense of humour. Compliments to the breakfast chef who kept us well fed.

Close location to town and shopping. Owner Tim and his wife were the most lovely people, so welcoming and friendly, gave great recommendations on shops and restaurants, and for places to visit on our vacation. The breakfast was fantastic, the room was so charming and warm.

Location was central with off street parking. B&B had a cosy feel & the hosts were very helpful & welcoming.. Breakfast variety was great & we enjoyed it thoroughly especially the Irish breakfast. Thanks for a pleasant stay Anam Cara B&B.

Easy check-in, host was informative about Cork, and breakfast was tasty and quick.
Our room was situated on the main road, so it was slightly noisy. Additionally, for the overall cost of the accommodation, the facilities were lacking.

Very central location, 5 mins walk from city centre and English Market. secure parking in private park behind premises. excellent breakfast. host very helpful with advice on sights to see and how to get to them. bed very comfortable and bed made up every day and fresh towels left in room. Would definitely stay here again if back in Cork.

Some of the doors need fixing. They are very noisy especially the washroom door. It would wake up other people sharing the room.

The room was very spacey, the bed, bedding were comfortable, the shower had a strong stream of hot water.
Only a minor detail: the front lock of the house is a nuisance as it has a mind of its own.

The full Irish breakfast was superb
Anam Cara is well located for the city centre although walking there does involve walking through an area that has seen better days.
Advertised as a deluxe king size room was an exaggeration. The bed which was 2 singles pushed together was king size but the room wasn’t!
In addition the finishes to the room were not deluxe.

location was walking distance to downtown. the fella running the b&b was helpful upon arrival. clean. cute Victorian manor. loved it!
nothing. it was great!!! only thing that was odd. we got up for the checkout and breakfast and no one was to be found. the door to the breakfast was closed so we didn’t enter. we were about to give up and leave without breakfast when another couple opened the closed door. we followed and behold everyone was in there having breakfast. clearly we are way too polite to enter a closed area. but everything worked out and breakfast was great!

Breakfast was very good (loved the music!). We loved the choices offered and everything was cooked perfectly.
Room was well appointed and had everything we needed (appreciated the cookie snacks!). The location was perfect and we walked to the main part of town each night. We were given meal recommendations which were helpful. All in all, a great experience.
No complaints at all; everything was really good.
Bathroom could benefit from a hook or two to hang clothes or dressing gown.
