The home was as advertised and the owner was very gracious. An excellent getaway location.

We had a great time there. Kids enjoyed the pool table , foosball and hot tub! Plenty of room for our family to just hangout. Would definitely recommend.

Chuck’s Hill City house was the perfect ‘home base’ for our vacation in the Black Hills! Our two families thoroughly enjoyed all of home’s amenities & would definitively recommend it to families with kids of all ages.

Perfect for my family, my brothers family and my parents. They were even kind enough to put in a handheld shower head for my mom to use due to some medical stuff.

We would highly recommend this beautiful home for vacation! The location and the view was amazing!! Every morning and evening we watched deer in the meadow from the deck. Definitely a home to have a family vacation! We had a great time! Thank you Chuck!

This is a really great property for large families or two families staying together. The house comes with lots of extras so that you can partake of all the things the area has to offer. Hill City is a charming enclave right in the heart of the Black Hills. We enjoyed watching the deer come down the hill in the morning and play tag in the meadow. Host was exceptionally helpful and knowledgable. Plenty of space and comfortable beds.

Where to even begin! I can’t say enough good things about this rental. The owner Chuck is amazing. He has thought of everything. If there is something he didn’t think of, he will do what he can to accommodate. My daughter loves tea and was thrilled to see assorted teas in the cabinet. The location is IN the Black Hills National Forest. You look out the back to the Michelson bike trail which in itself is amazing. There is a creek running through you can see & hear. The houses are all so pretty and different and set before the Black Hills. It just doesn’t get any better than this. I filter rentals using the “exceptionally clean” filter and this is the cleanest rental I’ve ever seen. The included ATV, assorted sized bikes & fishing poles were such great additions, we used them all. Not to mention the firepit, hot tub, foosball, pool table, darts, games, huge beautiful house, grill, deck table & large dining table. We sat in the hot tub at night, saw shooting stars and listened to the babbling water of the creek. Incredible. Town is so close you can walk, bike or ATV. The grocery store for all our needs too and decent prices. One thing I didn’t know about South Dakota is there are so many flies. I got bit a couple but I’d take it over the mosquitoes I’m used to at home since I’m allergic. We didn’t use bug spray all week. First time to South Dakota. It won’t be my last. I can only hope to return to this rental again with my family some day.
