Our family of four had a wonderful stay. The house had everything we needed, was clean and comfortably arranged. The lake is magnificent and we enjoyed admiring the view on the adirondack chairs on the shore. Our kids enjoyed taking the kayaks out. We took in the beautiful sunsets from outside and inside the house. Would love to visit and stay in this house again!

We just loved the cottage. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The owners were friendly and answered all our questions. We enjoyed the incredible views and watching the sunset. Also fishing on the dock and making s’mores with the fire pit. The location is close to shopping but you would not know it. We highly recommend the property.

What a great little spot in St Albans! We had the most gorgeous sunsets almost every night! Did lots of fishing, kayaking, and relaxing! Spot to get boat in and out of water easily right at camp was a bonus. Couldn't swim because of lake conditions but would have been a good spot to do so. Accommodations as described, a little on the small side for seven of us but it worked! Stores nearby, plenty of shopping and things to do! Good communication with owners prior to arrival and no issues while at camp! Thank you for a great week on the Lake!

We had a wonderful stay, it felt like home away from home. The camp was perfect for our needs in great neighborhood.
Beautiful views.

Great lakefront camp on Lake Champlain. Three friends enjoyed a week of fishing and relaxation. The pictures don’t don’t do the property justice. The views from the beautiful deck and inside the house are amazing. Owner was very responsive.

We took advantage of things to do in the surrounding area. We biked a different part of the Missisquoi Valley Rail Trail 4 of the days. Kayaking when Lake Champlain gave us an opportunity. Walks on the camp road and St Albans Town Park (which is a beautiful park). We saw Herons, geese, ducks and a lot of other wildlife kayaking and sitting outside. The Sunsets were gorgeous. It was really nice to have a full size kitchen which we do not always get at camp. We enjoyed cooking in it with an island that friends and family could sit at and talk while you cooked. Due to the rain we did that more than grilling. The space and setup worked very well for our gathering. We played games on the coffee table in the living area space during rain showers or after coming in from the sunset. Having a little mud room area off the side entrance when people could store their outdoor shoes and gear helped keep sand and dirt out of the main rooms. Something you do not always get with a camp. The layout was well thought out. Having Heat-pumps to cool and heat the place was really nice. We were there in June and the mornings could still be chilly, so we did use the heat a few mornings before the sun warmed up. Having a shed we could store our bikes was also a plus. We brought Kayaks but they had some that our guest used. This is a place we definitely are looking forward to coming back to.

Long weekend in VT
This lakefront cottage exceeded our expectations for our long weekend stay in Vermont. Spacious two bedroom with a large loft where multiple people can sleep comfortably. Fully stocked and furnished kitchen provided breakfast and several dinners at the kitchen island table or patio set located on the large wrap around deck. Cottage is very well equipped and with three adults provided more than enough space. Lake Champlain view from the front steps and just a few steps out onto the grass and you can enjoy the beautiful lake views. The communications with HomeAway and the Owner were timely and had no issues. Definitely would recommend this cottage and I will certainly consider it for future trips to Lake Champlain.

Beautiful cabin right on the lake. Decorated with cozy beach like colors. Beds and couch are comfortable and warm. We stayed in mid June. The use of the kayaks (two single) was a treat. My son (23) kayaked over to the island directly across from our cabin and went on a nature hike. The small loading doc with ladder offered a peaceful retreat for meditation and getting in and out of the water to swim. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans along with ” beachy”fun plates and more than enough utensils for a big group. Bring or pick up Kureg cups for the coffee maker. There are bugs (quite a few) in the evening but didn’t bother me or my son. No mosquitoes. The tap water is well water so we used bottle water for brushing teeth and cooking. She has a water cooler that you can use instead that you need to change out at end of stay at the local store. There is a small convenience store about 5 to 7 min away in the car that has gas, coffee and an ice cream stand. My husband, son and family loved the ice cream there and the prices. A big name grocery store and Walmart are less than 20 min away in St. Albans. You take lake rd to Kellog then Jeuitt. The folks at the convenience store and in the area are friendly. Map out the cabin and have written directions just in case as we lost gps a few times in that area. The house has good WiFi and satellite. The iPhones that my son and husband have worked great at the house. I have an Android thru a smaller carrier and it was hit or miss for me. Be prepared for a smell when you turn on the hot water faucets and the shower. It’s only when you run the hot and is supposed to clear up, we had to adjust down and over the shower head to make sure the water wouldn’t get on the floor. The views of this place are amazing way worth the stay. The folks are friendly in VT. If you are prepared for comfortable rustic charm..you’ll love this place. My son loved having the loft to himself and looking out the unique front windows. You’ll have everything you need. A great host. They came over and checked on us to make sure we had all that we needed. We’d definitely come back. A few suggestions for the host would be to have driving directions or address to grocery store, driving instruction to the cabin sent out via welcome email before the stay. My family that are local come out before our stay and drove us over. There are a lot of keep out signs, private rd signs etc so being prepared for that would be helpful. Many thanks

We loved our stay in the Lake House. Neatly cleaned and looked after, with a well-equipped kitchen. Lovely comfortable beds in cozy furnished bedrooms. We took good advantage of the gas barbecue and the 2 canoes. The view over the lake was beautiful, especially when the sun sets.
Thank you very much for hiring your cottage.

We booked a weekend at this lakeside cabin for our family that includes four small children (2 months- 8 years old). Inside was exactly as pictured- the kids loved the sleeping loft and the bunkbeds. But the photos don't do the outside justice! This cottage offers an obstructed view of Lake Champlain with the Adirondack Mountains distantly in the background, looking west. Which means SPECTACULAR sunsets viewed from either of the two screened sliding glass doors from the living room or kitchen, deck overlooking lake, Adirondack chairs in the yard or from the private dock right on the lake. Besides the two kayaks that come with the property, my husband and boys enjoyed fishing from the dock and skipping rocks from the shore. Tori, the owner was very nice, accessible, but also left us alone to enjoy ourselves. The cabin was neat and tidy and the provided linens and towels were so soft and smelled fantastic. Also- I live on a river and battle the bugs and spiders all year long, so I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of bugs. It was clear the house is well taken care of.
The cabin is on a somewhat secluded part of the lake- it is set back a ways from town on private gravel roads. The lots are somewhat narrow, but we found the neighbors to be nice and quiet. The cabin next to ours looks like it hasn't been visited in a few season.
Bottom line: would love to return. This would be perfect for a romantic getaway (think: a cold bottle form a local winery, watching the sunset from a private dock, walking hand in hand down a private road along the lake) OR a family vacation for those who enjoy slowing down, boating, fishing, grilling, playing board games, drinking beers, etc. OR for athletic types who value kayaking, jogging and swimming. OR all of the above!
