I've been doing VRBOs and Air-themed competitors for years... Pictures are always taken/edited to make rooms look bigger, hide awkward bits, and ensure views are postcard perfect even if its not representative of most times of year or the climate. THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY NOT THE CASE HERE. The pictures really don't do this place justice. It was more spacious than it looks, and the scenery was just... well... the English language lacks the words, to be honest. Randy, the host, was genuinely wonderful and helpful. He cares very much about maintaining the property and ensuring every guest has a wonderful time. I mean... the hot tub was clean and actually worked you guys! How often does that ever happen?! Not to mention, while a standard cleaning fee was charged, there wasn't some extensive checkout list instructing guests to do all the things the cleaning fee should pay for. We still always try to tidy up before a departure, but I know a lot of folks are irked buy those requirements on top of the fee. And finally, the house was stocked with everything a guest might need, all manner of items going well beyond the standard Bar of Soap and Conditioning-Shampoo blend. The claw-foot tub! The fire pit! Spacious dock! Fishing gear! Marvelous! I could go on and on, there's so much I'm leaving out, but hands down, best VRBO we've ever rented. P.S. If you want to use the parking directly in front of the house, you best trust and heed the host's AWD/4WD requirement.

The house and property were just great...the house was perfect and exactly as advertised. The view of the lake could not have been better. It's a really great, and Randy, the host, couldn't have been nicer and more attentive. I'd recommend this house to everyone

The house is great - well made, very clean, and has a nice feel to it. The deck at the house and the deck/dock at the lake are both fun places to hang out. Kitchen was easy to use. The only thing worth noting is that an AWD vehicle is required. If you don't have an AWD, you will need to carry your stuff up and down a very steep, graveled driveway that I found treacherous.

This is an amazing property. Everything about the house was as promised and more. High end linens. Extremely clean. Beautifully decorated. The communication with host Randy was very helpful and personable. The location is a dream--either hang out at the property or go exploring in one of the most beautiful spots in the country. I hope to return someday to this same place. Thank you Randy and Madi for sharing your beautiful lake house with us.

Between Lake Sutherland, Crescent, and Olympic National Park, the house is perfectly situated to access some of the most beautiful wilderness in North America. Would happily stay again.

This place is stunning. The pictures do not do it justice. Randy is an amazing host and handles every detail. The home is immaculate and decorated beautifully with original art. It has everything you could need. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to return.

This property is very thoughtfully appointed. You can tell that the owner loves this house. The bed and linens are the best we have experienced in a VRBO. The kitchen is not large but it’s very complete. I cook all the meals when we travel and I never failed to find what I was looking for in this kitchen. The view is gorgeous and the dock extremely comfortable for hanging out. There is even a canoe available for the guest’s use. We have stayed in a lot of VRBO properties and this is one of our favorites.

This amazing property was the perfect weekend getaway to relax and explore Olympic National Park. The location provides convenient access to many areas of park. The hosts have perfectly appointed their property inside and out and the location on Lake Sutherland is so pleasing that you could just as easily arrive and decide not to leave.

We had a great stay at this beautiful home on lake Sutherland. The lakeside location and beautiful outdoor options with multiple landings and seating areas were exactly as advertised. The house breaks the charm meter, beautifully decked out with so many art pieces it was a week of discovery. We were there in October and the weather was great, I think we were lucky, but we’ll take it. We used the fishing tackle off the dock, the canoe, the grill, the hot tub, and everything we wanted was there for our use. Couldn’t have been happier. Kitchen is much better appointed than any other house we’ve stayed at. Everything you need down to a meat thermometer which was a really pleasant surprise. Lake is busy with power boats and skiers/tubers, etc, so a bit of noise with that, but didn’t bother us. We highly recommend.

One of the best vacation homes we have ever stayed in! The location is perfect, just outside Olympic National Park/Crescent Lake, and an easy drive to Port Angeles. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought and care into ensuring guests have what they need to recharge and relax (including a spotless front-loading washer and dryer and a gas grill). There is a breathtaking view from inside the house, with multiple decks and sitting areas outside - perfect for reading, napping, or simply having coffee and watching the fish jump in the lake. We had planned to hike every day of our stay, but ended up spending one day simply hanging out at the house because it was so restful! Highly recommended & I hope we can return to stay again. If you are considering a stay, three thoughts: (1) you will need all-wheel drive/decent tires to drive right up to the house; (2) sound can carry across the calm lake from other vacation homes or jet boats, so if you want to sleep in, take earplugs just in case; (3) the data connection/cell signal was totally fine for recreational use but probably not sufficient for two people working remotely on zoom calls.

Communication was great. Home was stocked well. Close to several attractions. The home is so relaxing it makes you want to take time each day to enjoy the home. Wether it’s coffee on the dock or seeing the stars from the hot tub at night. Would come back for sure!

The house was very nice and situated beautifully on a lake with great lakeside views from the house. Indoor and outdoor dining areas. Communications with the owner were easy and prompt and his suggestions for things to do in Olympic Nat'l Park were right on the mark. The cozy house had many nice touches and was well supplied.

We LOVED this lake house. Everything you could possibly want in a perfect vacation and more. Randy and Maddie’s attention to detail is second to none. We loved the dock with table and chairs. We grilled on the upper deck and hot tubbed after our hikes. The amenities were above what we normally expect and the location was perfect. I don’t have enough space to say how fabulous this house is. Thank you Randy and Maddie for sharing your slice of heaven on earth.

My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing, unplugged week of hiking, swimming, and peaceful dinners by the lake. A comfy big bed, plush towels, well-stocked kitchen, and beautiful deck to watch the chipmunks and eagles. And the hosts are extraordinary! We'll be back for one more jump in the lake (or two or three).

Lovely little gem of a retreat. Thoughtful touches of hospitality at every turn, and a great place to come home to a swim and hot tub after a day of hiking at one of the many attractions on the Olympic Peninsula. Quiet morning canoeing on the lake is an added bonus. Great hosts; very good communication and clear instructions for. everything. They get kudos for being some of the top hosts I've experienced for being both welcoming without at all being intrusive, and for the attention to detail in anticipating the needs of guests.

Beautiful accommodations right on the water of Lake Sutherland. Randy was a very attentive and thoughtful host who helped to make our stay more relaxing and enjoyable. Would highly recommend to those wanting to explore the park and surrounding areas, and would definitely come back for future travel to the area.

Sutherland Lake where this home is located is beautiful. And the place itself was like a 5-star resort. Little touches everywhere, from the kosher salt with a tiny little spoon for cooking, to the knick-knacks and art, this home was (and is) the first home we would consider returning to. Bravo.

We stayed in this beautiful cabin the night we got engaged and enjoyed our next few days together in this enchanting location. The view from the loft in the morning is priceless, and we greatly enjoyed our trips out in the canoe and nights in the hot tub. Randy and Madi were so sincere and accommodating, truly exceptional hosts. We cannot wait to come back for future anniversaries.

We had a wonderful time enjoying this beautiful property! Our only problem was that we came during the one week of the summer that experienced a heat wave and the property had no air conditioning. Any other week would have been perfect! Our bad timing!

Everything was beyond perfection at the Lake House! Randy and Madi have thought of every little detail to make it the most memorable stay ever. The view, the lake, and the house are all gorgeous! We cannot wait to return!

What an absolutely BEAUTIFUL place to stay! We came to the area for our kids to get married at Marymere Falls. The brides parents and us (grooms parents) stayed at this beautiful property. So perfect that the bride and groom decided they wanted to get married at the house and then go do pics at Marymere. Randy was so kind to allow their request and it could not have been more perfect! The details and special touches that make up the place are so perfectly done. I can't say enough about the property. This has definitely made this Oklahoma girl want to spend more time in the PNW. Would definitely recommend, you won't regret it!

We stayed for just a few days. The setting is beautiful. The kitchen was easy to use (we did a lot of cooking), and we spent every morning on the dock with coffee, watching bald eagles around the lake. Easy access to trailheads and Olympic sites.

The house is secluded and private, while still in a great central location to enjoy Olympic National Park & the town or Port Angeles. We will for sure be bringing our kids back to enjoy this place!
