Sunrise Cottage is perfect in every way. I was looking for a quiet spot to relax and recharge with friends. The pond is so pretty all day long, and between the view and the warm fireplace we never felt the need to leave. I brought my dog and hiking through the conservation land was a treat. Can't wait to be back!

Cannot say enough that is positive about this home.. It is clean and well maintained. All acoutremonts are high end. The view of the pond is spectacular.I had trouble leaving the house to do things--there was so much beauty and comfort available right there.

Beautiful cottage with a spectacular view over looking the pond. The house was clean and well decorated with a great setup. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the amenities you need. The owner was responsive and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. The house has a cozy comfortable feel right when you walk in. We had coffee in the mornings sitting on the deck and Nothing beats the morning view of the pond!!

We would definitely consider staying here again. The home was beautiful, warm, and inviting. On entry, everything looked clean and tidy. There were lots of nice decorative touches throughout. Plenty of surface area to put your stuff down on. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable. Outdoor areas were well kept with lots of places to sit and hang out comfortably. We saw a beautiful sunrise out over Flax Pond through the big picture windows that overlooked the pond and enjoyed watching the little ducks dive for food. It was easy to find good food and conveniences within a quick ride and a little longer ride let us enjoy the Cape Cod scenery. Our host Meg was great to work with and answered booking questions nearly immediately and provided an excellent list of things to do in the area. Things we had to take care of were putting the provided clean bed sheets and pillowcases on the beds and removing them afterwards and taking care of trash and recycling. We weren't asked to launder sheets and bath towels, but it was suggested it would be helpful to start the laundry, which we did, and it was easy enough with the laundry being on the main floor hallway. The home had everything we needed, especially in the kitchen. We all loved it!

Amazing house perfectly situated on lovely pond. A perfect and cozy spot for our long winter weekend getaway. Immaculately clean. Grateful that our dog was welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace, as well as the seating overlooking the water. Would be doubly amazing in the summer. We will be back!

We were coming from France to visit my daughter in law for Christmas : we completly felt in love with sunrise cottage :the view is incredible, the area is so quite , Meg the owner is so nice and very helpful, all time at our disposal is help or information are needeed.
For sure we willbe back nad we highly recommanded this place without hesitation.

Sunrise cottage was everything it advertised and more. We had 7 in our group and the house was perfect. We kayaked, noodled and lived in the pond. There was lots to do close by but everyday the kids wanted the pond too! Hope to be back here many times. The host is exceptional and this place is a winner!

The layout was clearly well-thought out both inside and outside. Seating areas are aplenty and tucked away in really thoughtful places. Everything is well-stocked - nothing was missed. All of the details are well selected and considered (beautiful glassware, soft throw blankets, nice smelling candles, high-quality linens, etc.). We were actually shocked that pets are ever allowed - there is zero evidence of any animals ever having been here! And the location right on the very quiet pond can't be beat! Hanging at the pond:)
We absolutely loved this property. We didn’t want to leave. The house was the perfect size for the five of us. We were close to the major beaches and many restaurants. But honestly, the best part was the access to the pristine Flax Pond. We spent many hours there kayaking, relaxing on rafts and paddle boarding. Our dog learned how to swim there! She also never wanted to get out:) It was truly a fabulous spot! We came home relaxed and rejuvenated.

This cottage has been perfectly renovated, everything is clean and beautiful and has a great feel to it.
The view of the lake is enhanced by the fact that you can’t see any other houses, only the beauty of nature.

More beautiful than the pictures can show!
This is a great spot and a beautiful home to visit any time of year on the Cape, but it really shines in summer when you can swim in Flax Pond! The Cape Cod kettle ponds are special and this is one of the nicest, with few houses on it. It’s very private.
The owner is super helpful and responsive. The home is well-equipped, extremely clean, and beautiful inside and out with every spot offering a view of the pond.
The outdoor shower is one of the nicest we have ever used. The beds are good. And the location is great for visiting the best beaches on the Cape — Mayflower and Chapin at low tide!
There’s plenty of living space and great spots for outdoor entertaining. The tv and cable/WiFi worked great. Sunrise Cottage is a great find. Even the neighbors are friendly.

Cheerful, tranquil cottage with great views of pond
We loved Sunrise Cottage! My daughter, niece, and I met here for a girls' weekend and had so much fun. Loved the sparkling kitchen and the eating nook, the great three-sided fireplace, and the views, views, views. We spent every morning with cups of coffee looking out at the water. Flax Pond is so lovely and peaceful - the opposite side is a nature preserve, so there is nothing to disturb the serenity. The surrounding neighborhood of cottages is very cute and quiet. A short walk away (corner of Madison and Cliff) is a trail into the preserve, great for exploring with a dog, and there are several good restaurants nearby. We tried Scargo Cafe, Encore Bistro, and Old Yarmouth Inn for dinners and had excellent meals. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking, and throughout the house are so many thoughtful touches. Just remember to bring linens! I didn't notice that in the listing when I booked, but thankfully the owner, Meg, reminded me. She was a pleasure to work with and we hope to come back next year.

We prefer true rentals (vs. part-time homes) where the space is professionally maintained for guests -- no personal effects or food leftovers hanging around, everything cleaned top to bottom. This is a favorite.

Beautiful cottage and view
The unassuming exterior belies a charmingly updated interior. Huge picture windows overlook Flax Pond and the house is well-appointed and very clean. Conservation land across the pond allows for privacy. The cottage feels bright and airy despite the compact footprint. The owners are very kind and helpful. We highly recommend this rental!

Peace and quiet and beauty all around.
It was a wonderful vacation, away from all the worries of daily life. This place has everything you need. The view is peaceful, whether from the dock or the deck or from the windows. Pretty flowers all around; white water lilies. Very private. Can't wait for a return visit. Awesome to the hilt.

A lovely retreat!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunrise Cottage! The house is situated right on Flax Pond with gorgeous views. We also really enjoyed sitting on the lakefront deck. The owner, Meg, is very responsive and provided lots of helpful information about the local area. The house is very clean, fresh and beautifully appointed with all the little extras so often missing in other rental properties (hand soap, dish soap, tissues, etc). It's a beautiful house in a lovely setting-- we can't wait to return!
