The property was adequate for what I needed. If I could change one thing, boat slips should be available for rent and not "first come first served."

Time spent here was so much fun! Very cozy and almost the perfect size! The bathroom and kitchen are a tight squeeze but manageable.
Was told by the front office that the elevator is shut off during storms to protect the wiring. Which was fine!
There was miscommunication with the owners and the listing site of what was provided during my stay.
There are utensils, extra linens, 3 towels, a floor towel, 3 hand towels, mini hair products and mini dove soap bar, pots and pans, cutting board, cutlery, knives, extra roll of paper towels, dish towels, bowls/ plates/ cups, toaster, coffee maker, and a broom and vacuum.
The one thing that was not provided (and we checked everywhere) was toilet paper. So look around thoroughly before you sit after traveling! Luckily there is a small convenient shop close by to pick up simple things. We ended up leaving the remaining two rolls we had for the next guests.
Definitely hit up HEB when they open to beat the crowds.
Overall we loved our stay! Would stay here again!

I can sum this up in two words, “deferred maintenance”.
Baseboards were extremely dirty with hair on them, tile floor grout was very dirty to where it looked like black wax, closet door broken and sitting inside closet, walls were filthy, holes in walls that were left un-repaired, some wall repairs fixed but left unpainted, and finally, the vents throughout the condo were caked with dust and dirt. Not a good thing when one of the vents are right above the bed.

The Pros: On north end away from all the traffic on the south end, Condo was nicely clean, and it had a very good a/c system although loud, a decent size shower with good hot water.
The Cons: The garbage disposal and under cabinet light did not work, the lights on the ceiling fan in the dining room did not work, the lights in ALL the lamps were dusty/not wiped, the entry lock hole at the door was only drilled in and no dead bolt plate was installed
- making it very easy for someone to push and break into the condo, the bathroom was rather a tight space, the vent in the bathroom was rusted out, the shower needs caulking in the corners, the corner near the entrance had exposed wiring where the plastic cover has broken off due to age of the room. Therefore I think the value for the room would be better priced from $150-$175 per night and not the average we paid of $250 per night. Plus you have to pay $15 pp (additional $30 for us) to use the pool, if you get to use it. Check-in is at 4 pm. The office closes at 3 pm. The check-in information says to pick up your parking pass and pay for our 2 wristbands the following morning. Therefore, you only get to use your paid pool privileges for 1 night if you get there after 3 pm office closing hours. The office should stay open until 4 pm or check-in should be at 3 pm.
My rating would be at 2.5 stars. I don't think we will be staying there again. Mr. P*******

The room was ice and cozy clean! Very quiet a plus .. the room did have an old smell to it , and the elevator was worse in smell ,, but other than that very pleasant

The property location is good - near things to do and see on the island. We had some concerns since we had not done VRBO before and the address was not in the initial email; but our concerns were laid to rest and the office answered our questions. Everything was the way it was supposed to be. And the lady at the front desk - Sylvia - was so helpful and nice.

Nice place
Nice place enough for 2 people, maybe 1 more can sleep on the couch.
Decent views, enough utensils in the kitchen. Check-in process was easy.
Things that could be better:-
1. The AC/heater is loud. Had difficulty sleeping in the night.
2. Bedsheets we're rough, I may just be used to softer sheets.
3. Some of the kitchen cabinets were dirty.
4. No proper cutting knife was available, only butter knives were available.
Overall decent stay.

We were able to see the canal, bay and pool from our balcony window. We fished in the canal off piers we could see from that window. No need to pack up fishing stuff and tote it. The room was clean. Nothing fancy, but ok for the stay. Very small kitchen, but was fine for our needs.
On the downside, the bed was very uncomfortable. If we return, we will bring a topper. The AC was very loud, and the ceiling fan didn't work. We reported that, when we left, so I expect it will be fixed.
We would definitely stay here, again.
We had to pay $15 each for wristbands. They are reusable, so we can use them, if we return. 1 parking spot and no problem usung it. Note, we were there in the off-season.

I did love the space of the Condo, the view over the laguna was very nice. 6 inch balcony was a bummer, the restroom sink was clogged, the ceiling fan over the bed was broken, the pull out couch bed mattress looked very used and abused, the shower head pressure was super low. The elevator broke during our stay and the door to the stairway was also broken. Walking down the stairway there were broken wooden rails. Parking was easy...

Visible mold (a substantial amount) was present on 25% of the bathroom ceiling.
The bed didn’t have a mattress cover and the bed/bedding were very uncomfortable.
Entrance Door didn’t have a functioning knob
We would have left if our children would have been with us, as the cleanliness was suboptimal.
Pros:
The location was nice!! We appreciated that it was a little bit away from the noise of the island.
And the building had a nostalgic beach vibe. The room’s decor was nice and the chairs were comfortable

Great Location
This is the perfect set up! Great location on the island, the kitchen had everything we needed to make meals at home, and the pool was a huge plus. The view from the room is gorgeous. We would definitely love to visit this place again!

Mixed Feelings
Online booking was very easy. However, the owners should keep up with current office hours. Check-in is listed as 4pm or later, as described in the listing, yet property office closes at 3pm. While we didn’t need the office to get in our room, there are signs regarding towing cars without a permit. We were charged an additional $15 per wrist band to wear on the property (noted in property description) but the office does not take credit cards (not noted). Additionally, the office does not open until 9am so we had to delay our beach trip in order to get the bands and parking permit. It would seem a process could be established where the wristbands are payed at the time of online rental and vehicle information provided at the same time so the permit can be preprinted or left in the room.
There is no unit number on the property door which created some confusion. The unit was remodeled to close in the porch to add more space. Not a bad feature but this allows the neighboring property visibility directly into the bed.
The unit was clean, wifi was easy to access, and the size was perfect for us. The furniture layout is awkward - TV versus couch is strange and there is a lamp on a table that is nowhere near an outlet- hence unusable. The bed has no headboard and the unit has no alarm clock - so bring your own (alarm clock as a headboard may be difficult to get in the elevator).
While the unit is conveniently located near the elevator, we were told the trash chute was full. Again, awkward when the instructions say we have to remove the trash before leaving. While we only needed on parking spot this trip, the property as described as having two per unit. There were no signs for additional/overflow parking.

Great for the price
Floors needed to be cleaned a little better, there was still sand from whoever stayed before us. Bed wasn’t very comfortable. However, overall it was good and wouldn’t mind if we had to stay again. Plus for having a blender!

Peaceful and perfect
This rental was peaceful and perfect for my husband and I while we stayed for my fathers funeral. To look out to the ocean is exactly what I needed. This rental had everything we needed down to the towels. Everything was I working conditions. Had a little trouble opening the lockbox but when we called Annabel, she sent help right away...and I mean the help was there in less than 5 mins. The gentleman opened the box and we began stay. We will definitely stay again! Thank you for an awesome stay and kind help. Annabel was just a phone call away and she answered my 4 phone calls and text messages. Again..thank you!
