Olive's Gate was perfect for my wife & I. Not only is the cute Noe Valley neighborhood nearby, but the J line downtown is just a block away. There is also the 48 bus which will take you straight out to the beach. And if you don't feel like making breakfast, Chloe's Cafe down the street has terrific food & coffee. The rental itself was comfortable and clean, and (as others have mentioned) the shower is amazing. Great water pressure, no wait for hot water. Perfect after a long day of walking. We didn't get much of a chance to sit outside in the back garden, but it is a great private outdoor area in which to relax and smell the flowers.

My Daughter and I stayed here to receive medical treatments nearby. We were pleased with the location and how easy the checkin process was. I noticed that even though it is on the first floor the upstairs noise was very minimal. Very well stocked kitchen, and a really cute private gated front garden. We will be back, Thanks Chez!

The studio is in a very beautifully kept home and surrounding neighborhood. It was easy to find, clean, and was in a great location between Noe Valley, the Mission, and Dolores Park. I highly recommend staying here. The MUNI stop was nearby, making the rest of SF accessible for the entirety of your stay here. Even better was Chez's hospitality. I had an issue with losing my phone and Chez was available to help me out.

Chex’s property was clean, cozy and met all of my needs for a weekend in the city. Conveniently located by the muni, plenty of restaurants and lovely walks, it was a great place to have as a home base. Would stay here again.

Wonderful private space in an excellent location.

My friend and I stayed while we were in town for Outside Lands and we really enjoyed our stay! The location is great- a two walk from the closest Muni station- and walking distance to various shops and stores. The apartment itself was very nice and comfortable, and fully stocked with everything we could/would need during our stay. I really enjoyed it!

We live about 3 hours away from San Francisco and I was having surgery at UCSF so I needed somewhere to stay for a few days after surgery to heal a little before the drive home. I told the host this was the reason we were booking when I made the reservation. Upon arrival we realized this property would not work for what we needed it for. The apartment is located on a street with a 22% grade (I got dizzy walking down the sidewalk it was so steep), there is only street parking (it is very limited, most likely not going to get a spot right by the apartment, which would mean walking up or down the very steep hill right after surgery) and during the day you cannot park in one spot for more than 2 hours. I feel like these are things that could have been mentioned by the host. A couple other minor things, the TV is very small and not a SmartTV that we could see and there is no freezer for ice. We spent the night before my surgery and checked out the next morning. I messaged the host to let him know we were checking out early and the reasons why. I did not get any reply.

Just the best place to stay in SF. The location of great with plenty of places to grab coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just a drink within walking distance. Host is extremely accommodating and stays in contact if needed. The space is the perfect size and the shower is amazing. Will look to stay here when we come visit again.

Had a great weeklong stay in this lovely location. It was very comfortable including the bed and has all the amenities of home. The bathroom is modern and large and the fantastic shower was hot with strong water pressure. The location was the best and right on the train line so on one train we could go anywhere in the city including out to Ocean Beach and Golden Gate Park or even to the ferry to go to Marin. And the charming local neighborhood was full of coffee shops and great restaurants just a few minutes walk down the block. Loved this place and would stay here again. Thanks Chez-!

Besides a little misunderstanding at check in, we were very happy with this rental. Easy to access all of SF. All the amenities were good quality. quiet neighbourhood with access to food and transportation. Loved it. We would go back.

Chez's apartment is perfect for a couple visiting SF. The space is thoughtfully appointed and has all the things we wanted to feel at home. A few highlights - a proper kitchen with quality tools, incredible water pressure in the shower, and a truly beautiful garden.

This studio flat was perfect for our stay in San Francisco, with all the amenities available, and the public transport at the doorstep. A very comfortable, welcoming place for a home base, right in Noe Valley, within easy walking distance of the local shops and restaurants, plus the J line right outside. We could not have asked for a better place, with a private garden, clean and tidy, a well-supplied kitchen, and a bright and clean bathroom. Communication with the host was fantastic, prompt responses whenever we had questions, and polite, helpful, and accommodating. Highly recommend!

This wonderful studio had everything we could have asked for, including a location only a minor incline of 1 block to 24th Street, the main drag of Noe Valley. The host, Chez, has thought of everything to make your stay wonderful - comfy bed, fantastic shower and fully-equipped kitchen. We look forward to our next visit. Steve

This unit was absolutely perfect for our needs. Great little neighborhood with a variety of good restaurants; a true small neighborhood feeling. We were a bit concerned that due to location there may be noise issues, but wasn't a problem at all. Communication with the owner is quick and thorough. The bed was comfortable and the shower? As mentioned in other reviews, truly a good experience. The kitchen is outfitted thoughtfully, though we mostly ate out, as there are great options nearby. We would definitely stay here again, if the need to be in Noe Valley comes up again.

This rental is perfect for someone who wants to experience San Fran but with the ability to feel at home.

We had a very comfortable stay during very stormy weather in SF. Our arrival was delayed because of flight cancellations and our host was kind to let us use the missed nights another time. The place is super clean and well equipped (thankful for the umbrellas!). The location in Noe Valley close to restaurants and Whole Foods is also a plus.

We took this for a one week stay to visit family. This is a nice studio, close to the bus and J tram with a Whole Foods shops and cafes nearby. Very convenient for us. We visited in December so could not make use of the lovely garden. Don't miss the Happy Donuts on 24th st -- open 24 hrs and better than Krispy Kremes!!!

Anyone who has trouble walking or trouble breathing should beware. IIts o aa vey very steep hill. It's hard to get anywhere interesting walking without going up some kind of hill However There is a muni train within a block block away on a flat street.whicg arrives often & is cheap Otherwise Great location

We found this property to be clean, modern, quiet and well located in the Noe Valley neighborhood. It is situated a very short walk from several shops where every day we went for pastries, coffees, restaurants and the grocery store. A comfortable bed, a well-appointed kitchen, a bright and spotless bathroom and a great outdoor courtyard made our time there very pleasant. Nice place, nice owner, great stay.

Our experience was wonderful. The place was clean, everything was very comfortable and Chez was very prompt and very helpful and very nice. The area was quiet, little shops were right around the corner to eat at. We had a great time I would definitely come back. The outside area was so beautiful there was a blooming tree with pink petals and it was absolutely gorgeous... I will agree with what other people posted that water pressure in that shower is absolutely amazing .o.m.g.

My son lives in Noe valley and this rental is in an awesome location for visits. So much better than a hotel room. Walking distance to neighborhood services: restaurants, bars, shops. Chez privides wonderful amenities. I will be back.

Olive's Gate is in a great location to get out and explore San Francisco. The neighborhood is great with plenty of food and shopping within a short walk. Trains and buses running downtown are just a few 100 yards away. The studio is very well equipped and has a great shower. We totally recommend it to any couples looking for a San Francisco base.

This property is cute and cozy with a super modern, well equipped kitchen and a beautiful private back patio with a blooming fuchsia climbing up to the balcony above. The street was so quiet, except for the joyous sounds of kids going to a nearby school. I highly recommend this spot for one or two people.

The appartment is nicely located with a lovely little patio. Kitchen is well equipped. Bed is compfortable. Chez is a great host. She accommodated a change request on short notice. Just 1 block away there are restaurants and shops. MUNI line J runs close bye (whish is an advantage for getting to and from the place, but also causes some extra noise, though in generell the direct neighborhood is quiet. ) Overall excellent place!

This property was such a special "find"! We loved everything about it — location, all the many amenities in the apartment, the deck, proximity to the MUNI J line, the large bathroom and the comfy bed. We see ourselves finding ways to return to this exact same apartment often in the future!!
