The family thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed the home - and little six-year old Claire loved transforming one of the porches into "Claire's Snow Room" where we all relaxed and watched the beautiful snow, while Claire served us snacks and massaged our shoulders and feet....she loved making her own spa room in the beautiful setting! The Christmas lights were still up at the resort on night #1 and we walked down to Hudson's for burgers one day....and of course went to Higgins Point to appreciate the bald eagles. No visit is complete without a trip to Pilgrim Market and CDA coffee....we sure fit a lot into this little trip!
Perfect location and stay. Beautiful home and so well appointed with everything needed. Highly recommend!!!

Celebrating 50th anniversary with extended family. Location, amenities, kitchen staples and cookware, dining room, beds and bedrooms, view and location close to town, bike trail. We had a wonderful time in this spacious, comfortable well-stocked house.

A group of family and friends stayed at the house for a wedding we were in and were thoroughly impressed with the set up. This house is very accommodating for a wide age range of visitors and made us all so comfortable. One of the favorite parts of our stay was enjoying the sun room and waving to walkers and bikers as they passed. Our three year old loved watching the sea planes take off and land so we jumped on one ourselves- during which he promptly fell asleep! We loved our time in CDA and could not have asked for a better rental

The property, it’s location and it’s private beach area are first class. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was great to introduce our visiting parents to such a beautiful part of Idaho.

Incredible place to experience all that Coeur d’Alene has to offer. Charming historical home , unbeatable location.

We absolutely loved our stay. The house is beautiful and stocked with everything you might need. The kids loved the basement with all of the toys! The view of the beach from the front windows was breathtaking and it was a very short walk to the beach and park from the house. Couldn't have asked for a better stay during our family trip!

Great home and location for our school club's summer retreat. Timely, thoughtful and accommodating communication with property owner and manager. Our group had a wonderful time and appreciated every moment of our stay in this beautiful home. Thank-you!

This house is so well equipped to make families comfortable. The proximity to the water and park is par none, but the house itself is truly well stocked with all the necessities for a family. We really appreciated the toys for the kids, the step stools available, the prevalence of beach toys and the well equipped and well organized kitchen.

Great location for families with children. Across from the beach and next to a large park. Plenty of toys, games and puzzles. Also beach toys and children’s float vests. We wanted for nothing.

We had such a great time on our annual family vacation with our kids, their spouses and our grandkids. The location can't be beat! Everything was walking distance! We didn't have a car and did not need one. The house had everything we needed, including 2 bikes, toys for the kids, comfortable beds, beach toys/towels, a loaded kitchen, etc! We would definitely come back!

Fabulous location and remarkably comfortable and well-appointed residence. Great view of lake and park. Very close to downtown!

The house has a beautiful unobstructed view of Lake Coeur d’Alene. It was close enough to walk to restaurants and shops. It felt very “homey”. We all enjoyed the well stocked house: small appliances, pans, games, toys, etc.

If you need a property with lots of room, this is it. Four floors including the basement and five bedrooms. The house was clean, well maintained and fully stocked including toys and games in the basement for the kids. Outstanding location and a very quiet neighborhood. The manager Roni was on top of things during our entire stay and did an excellent job of handling any of our request. She also deserves five stars. I am looking forward to returning in the near future.

We have stayed in this incredible lake front home many times. It’s a beautiful home right on the water. Conveniently located near the resort and downtown. Nothing better than sitting in the sunroom with a cup of coffee looking at the lake. Rent this home and you won’t be disappointed.

Very nice place to stay, however the TV was not user friendly even to teenagers who know all about electronics.

Our group enjoyed the setting, the ample size of the gathering places which meant we enjoyed our time as friends. We were blessed.

Once again, our family was able to come together at Christmas and make wonderful memories together in this spacious yet comfortable, family friendly house! It is always very well stocked with everything we need for cooking, making music or just hanging out and relaxing. The basement is a perfect play area for our younger members! My parents love their cozy upper story suite. And although a little colder this time of year, the sun rooms are a perfect place for viewing the lake and the lights at the CDA resort. Roni and her team are always super accommodating and attentive to any needs or questions that may come up. Once again, a 5 star experience always worthy of repeating!

The views from just about every room are phenomenal. The location was absolutely perfect! The house is clean and everything you could need is available. We didn't want for anything (except a fire place). That would have lovely. It's
a very quick walk to downtown, and conveniently located to stores and restaurants. It was perfect spot for my husband and I to getaway. Just what we needed. A little too large without the kids - we'll bring them with us next time - they have everything you could possibly need to host a big family event. We will be back! Thank you!!

This property was warm and inviting, very clean and comfortable King bed (we only used the 3rd floor master bedroom). We appreciated the small touches like coffee maker and mini-fridge in the master suite saved us trips up and down the stairs to the main floor kitchen.

The home is very roomy and the view of the lake is amazing. The home is minutes (walking) from downtown Coeur D' Alene which is very convenient. We definitely recommend this house and when the occasion arises to rent a house in Couer D' Alene this home will be our first choice.

definitely recommend this property. It's clear this house, though aged, has been cared for and is a gem.
Positives-
Location is incredible, beautiful house and views
walkable to town and lake experiences. really private to other people in house. easily hosts 12 ppl.
to improve:
-kitchen is quite compact.
-Neighbors clearly have vendetta against the place being rented in their neighborhood. It's a lake house afterall, people are here to have fun. They seem overly sensitive to that. Even during the middle of a summer day. This can effect the relaxation you may have hoped to experience with a large group by complaining that you exist.

We just love this home and its location. Beautiful!

Such a wonderful home for our family reunion! We especially loved the walkability of everything from the house including the beach, town, marina, playground for the grandchildren, bike path, and Tubbs Hill hike. We never had to get into our cars again after we arrived except to get groceries for our group!
The house itself was very well furnished with everything we could possibly need and we appreciated having all the different spaces to gather in: living room, 2 eating areas, toy room in basement, family room in the back of the house, 2 sunrooms, backyard table and chairs, and front porch area.
We were very sad when our check out date came because we loved the house and CDA! We all highly recommend staying at this VRBO!

We are a group of girls who graduated from high school 50 years ago! The house was beautiful! It was equipped with anything we wanted! The beach was amazing! The temps were high, but didn’t affect us much! The house is well air conditioned and the lake water is warm! So many great memories were created! The house is perfect for a large group with intimate areas for a smaller group! Thanks so much!

We have stayed at "many" VRBO short term rental properties, both on business trips as well as family vacations or just myself and my wife, and hands down this is the best property, best location that we have ever stayed.... I hesitate telling everyone this because then it will be harder for us to find available dates in the future to book, but I can't keep a "great" thing to myself. You will not be disappointed, the views of the lake (right across the single lane, one way, slow traffic street) are out of this world. There is grass that is private for guests of this property, as well as steps right down to the sand in front of the grass and home for beach access. We immediately booked again for next year and will be visiting every year we can and staying right here....

Always an amazing week at the Gumbrecht House!
The house and location could not be better. Everything is nearby and we love leaving the car in the driveway and biking everywhere. Even though the June weather was not the best, our family time together was wonderful! We look forward to returning to this house for years to come!

Beautiful views and great location!
We stayed at this beautiful property for the Ironman event in June. It was a short walk from the event and worked perfectly for us. The location is exceptional, you can easily walk downtown to the shops, there are two excellent parks for kids within walking distance, and the beach is right in front of the house. We enjoyed sitting in the beautiful sunrooms at the front of the house and watching all the activity on the lake. We had younger children with us, and they really liked the basement with the toys, video games, books, and other activities. Highly recommend!

Delivered on all the amenities promised and needed. First complete family vacation in many years and we were not wanting for anything. Rained more than we hoped for but we didn't lack for entertainment and even had a few hours on two consecutive afternoons to enjoy rides in our new inflatable dinghy on the spectacular lake. Great neighbors and we hope to someday return to this location.
