Downtown location was great, handy to the shops and river boardwalk. Walking distance to some great restaurants and bars. Secure off street parking as well.

It was really cold in the apartment, with no possibility for temperature adjustment. It was a cold night as additional blankets have not been provided.

Apartment 305 - very stylish and decor just beautiful. Exceptional californian king bed, excellent kitchen, lounge, outdoor area, washing machine & dryer. Also secure free parking perfect and in CBD excellent. Receptionist nice took me up to check room & I initially thought would be ok without air conditioning but I was wrong! Whakatane accommodation was fully booked out so i had to accept this room if I wanted to stay in Whakatane. This is hard as I would have scored 10/10 had 305 had air conditioning but as it didn't and we were in the apartment every evening - it made our evenings uncomfortable. Once the sun went down we opened shade and all doors and only then was it beautiful with cool airflow. Also please increase daily milk, dish washing tablet and towels, toilet paper allowance

I do not recommend 305 if weather 20degrees+ just too hot - sun bleating in. If 305 had air conditioning then this apartment would be 10/10! 305 best maybe spring or autumn. Receptionist recommended we leave our apartment door hooked open to let cold air flow in - it did work but felt security risk. I had two unexpected visitors knock while I had the door hooked open looking for apartment owner. Early next morning I received a phone call for owner from a visitor at reception. Would be good for apartment owners to notify friends when they have let their apartments out. Basin in ensuite oddly low - child height like weird Not good ... for 3days stay we got the following for the whole time & if you wanted more you had to pay extra... 1x towel per person 1 small glass est 200ml of milk 1x tablet for dish washer

great location and a beautiful apartment with a lovely big front bedroom, powerful shower, plenty of hot water, easy access for arriving and leaving and good parking.

the twin room we were in was a ‘cave’ - no outside windows and small, the microwave numbers didn’t show, the tv needs a ‘cheat sheet’ - took us ages to sort out.

Everything! Centrally located. Well set out. Quiet and relaxing. Comfortable. Best place we’ve ever stayed at in all our travels.
