My wife and I stayed at 423 Lae Nani for one week in January of 2024 and it did not disappoint in the least! Beautiful views, pool and ocean adjacent, and with shopping and food only a short walk away! Perfect for your garden island getaway! We left feeling refreshed and ready to face real life again in the cold winter of Central Oregon! Being Near Kapaa is a great location for visitin Kauai as well, you are fairly equidistant from the north shore and the south shore with access to Waimea canyon. We kept thinking we would visit other beaches to swim but why bother when you are in such a lovely locale to begin with. We loved having a full home and kitchen so we could cook some great home cooked meals with fresh fish from the Fish market in Koloa and having breakfast on the lanai each day looking out at the ocean was just wonderful. It cost a little extra but it was worth it!

The condo was clean and comfortable (in addition to being well stocked in kitchen ware and basic condiments). The location can't be beat, the beach and pool were both very nice. Lots of shopping (Coconut Maketplace) and restaurants close by.

The property was manicured daily. The pool is large and the location couldn't be better. Walk to a half-dozen restaurants, instant ocean-access, plenty of secure parking and the condo was well-equipped.

This place... We saw it right away when we began our search. It looked fantastic, but how often is the first place you see the right one? We kept search; and kept coming back to Lae Nani 423 and finally realized it was the best of the bunch in terms of quality and overall value. But, would it actually be as good as it appears on VRBO?
Yes, perhaps even better! The photos and description are accurate; beautiful, comfortable and well-stocked interior and a wonderful lanai from which to gaze at the ocean, eat a relaxing meal, or just enjoy the beautiful grounds. We walked two minutes to the beach to watch the sunrise each morning. The Lava Lava Club is just minutes away on foot; great for breakfast, happy hour or dinner.
We wanted a place to serve as a base of operations to see most of the enchanted island and also a quiet sanctuary to just relax and enjoy some down time. This beautiful condo was perfect on both counts.
Howard was clear, thorough and timely with his pre-check-in communication and the check out instructions were easy to follow. We hope to be back; perhaps next time for two weeks.

Stunning views from this very comfortable condo in a very clean and well-equipped resort. With the pool, the beach out front, close proximity to the Coconut Marketplace, the bakery and restaurants within walking distance, you really don't need to "go" much of anywhere. However, the central island location of this place makes it a perfect starting point for excursions to other points on the island. The kitchen is well equipped, A/C in the bedroom is nice if you need it, furnishings are contemporary and comfortable. Lastly, in my humble opinion, if you do have any questions or issues during your stay it is much more pleasant to deal directly with a private owner rather than a property management company.

Everything as described. Clean, well equipped condo on gorgeous property. We used the a/c unit in the bedroom sparingly but it is necessary. Gladly stay at this condo again.

Lots to do and see. Delicious food, shave ice, shopping, Keeki pool, and beach access are all 5 min or less walk. Condo is centrally location on the east side of the all. Poipu is only a 30 min drive. Princeville/Ha'ena State Park )north side) and Waimea Canyon/Polihale State Parks (Southwest) are all within an hour drive.
One of the best views on the island is from the condo's lanai. The condo is beautiful decorated and well stocked with needed amenities. Pool was much larger than we expected.
I highly recommend this property.

My bare feet were black on the bottom from walking on the floors to unpack. We went out and bought some cheap flip flops for indoor use only, and that solved the problem.
The air conditioner in the bedroom was nice for the really hot nights!

Centrally located in the east shore, this was a great place to stay to easily explore all areas of the island.
Nicely appointed and clean with a great view of the ocean. Loved the decor!
The air conditioning in the bedroom was much needed. We did did get warm in the afternoons, but that’s to be expected on an island. Keeping the windows open with the fans going kept the air moving nicely. We would turn the air on in the bedroom about 30 minutes before sleeping and it was plenty cool enough by the time we went to bed.
Great communication with Howard and we had all the information to make checking in easy. Would definitely recommend staying here!!

Bed and bedroom air conditioner made for comfortable sleeping. View from kitchen, dining area, living room and lanai was gorgeous. Kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals. Location was 10 minutes from airport and an easy drive to Poipu and North Shore beaches. We would stay here again.

Second time returning to this property and hope to return again. The condo is clean and well stocked. The beach and property are absolutely beautiful and make it hard for us to leave. Lots of great restaurants in the area but the lanai is the best dinner spot ♥️

We spent 6 glorious days at Lae Nani 423 and it was our home away from home!
The space was beautiful and beautifully decorated. It was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, the furniture was comfortable and the space itself was huge!
We were pleasantly surprised that it is a 1.5 bathroom unit, so this made getting dressed in the morning a lot quicker.
The kitchen was well stocked and had everything you needed to cook a meal.
The view from the linai was SPECTACULAR! We enjoyed our time sitting and reading when we were not going on an adventure.
The location is PERFECT! You are right in the middle of the east coast, so enjoying the north or south was a breeze!
The airport is 20 minutes away max, so you don't need a lot of time to get there when leaving this tropical paradise.
We had a wonderful visit!

Beautifully decorated and clean condo, with everything needed for our week-long stay in Kauai! The location was perfect to explore the island in both directions. The owners go the extra mile in providing beach towels, beach chairs, and other items for hanging out at the beach and pool, which is something I wish more vacation rentals would provide. The addition of the AC in the bedroom definitely helped with sleeping in the tropical environment. The view and grounds are wonderful, and we enjoyed having our coffee out on the lanai most mornings. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone coming to Kauai!

This is truly an amazing spot! In Wailua with access to as close to a private beach as it gets. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails on the lanai was our favorite past time! Kitchen is perfectly outfitted to cook whatever you may desire, and the decor, amenities, and hosts make this the perfect island getaway!

We felt like we were at a resort. The grounds were beautiful and v well maintained and the ocean was steps away. It was also fabulous in terms of location and being able to shop and dine within walking distance. Howard was a v responsive and accommodating host. We would certainly go back. It also had a family vibe.

The location worked well for us, close to the airport, so after a long travel day and fiasco line at car rental, not having to go too far was nice. Also, Kapa'a being centrally located, makes it easy to get up north, down south, or all the way around to Waimea and that side of things, as well. The place suited us very well and Howie and Patti's restaurant suggestions they have in their house were pretty spot on, as well. We'd definitely stay at their place again.

We absolutely loved our stay in this condo! Waking up every morning to a beautiful ocean view was the best. The grounds are stunning, clean and easy walkable access to beach, restaurants and shopping. The condo is well appointed and did not disappoint! Perfect home base for your trip to Kauai. This condo was incredible. From the views, locations to amenities, it was everything we could’ve asked for. The AC unit was enough for the bedroom and kept us cool. Howard and Patty have a wonderful place to spent your vacation. Location was perfect for a drive to the north and south shores with a reasonable time. We would highly recommend booking here!

Lae Nani's #423 the our beach house for the week, comfy and cozy. We felt so much at home and didn't want to leave just yet. Hearing the sounds of the waves rolling in calms your soul, the view and grounds were spectacular! So many plants and flowers, every turned corner around the property warmed your heart. Our view from the Lanai, was perfect and so was the patio furniture. We especially enjoyed using the beach chairs and bogie boards. Everyone was so incredibly nice and helpful, we will definitely be back to visit Kauai and Lae Nani again. We still have more to do from the 101 things to do on Kauai.

This was my first time to Hawaii. This property is in an excellent location. Of you want to explore other areas of the island you ate centrally located. If you prefer to stay in the property the grounds are wonderful. Beach access is steps away, shopping and restaurants are a short walk.
The property itself was very nicely equipped and updated.
If it could sleep a family of 6 I would come back in a heart beat. That said, I will be considering renting multiple units at this location for our family, it's that perfect.

The only issue was with the dishwasher, but it was user error and we got it resolved quickly with Howard’s help. Kitchen had about everything we needed. We did forget to pack soap, but purchased shower gel and leaving behind for the next guest. Laundry facilities were close by and easy & quick to use. We would definitely come back!

The location was wonderful. The view off our balcony was something from a magazine. The heated pool right next to the ocean was a real pleasure. Other than wishing I had my own pillow with me, hubby and I both commented on how deep we slept. Fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms were great. Beach chairs and boogie boards were supplied and we were very glad for that....rounded out a perfect beach vacation.

Absolutely perfect! Decor was beautiful, the condo was very comfortable with a beautiful view. The bed was very comfortable, and everything we could have needed was provided, right down to the beach chairs. We never got the TV working properly, but I'm sort of glad we didn't; it gave us more time to sit outside and just relax. We hope to be back soon!
