Novotel Praha Wenceslas Square

La habitación era cómoda (excepto la bañera, que era muy alta) y estaba limpia. El desayuno era bastante variado. Está situado en una calle tranquila. Cuando reservé en este hotel esperaba la relación calidad/precio que suelo encontrar en esta cadena y, una vez más, se cumplió.

Aunque está bien comunicado a pocas estaciones de metro del centro no es un hotel céntrico en cuanto a los típicos puntos de interés turístico. La parte positiva es que es una zona tranquila y sin ruido, recomendable si quieres evitar la masificación del centro.

The stay can be better with improved cleaning

All in all this was a very good stay, great room, fantastic breakfast and helpful staff.

We chose this hotel for the pool. Although I acknowledge the pool will be full of children, I don’t believe children should be allowed in the jacuzzi and sauna - this should be an adult space.

I have been visiting Prague for around 15–20 years, so I have quite a good basis for comparison. Unfortunately, I can see that the city is becoming increasingly overwhelmed by mass tourism. Overall, I rate Novotel Praha Wenceslas Square positively. The hotel is clean, the location is very good, and the breakfast is excellent — a wide selection, good quality, and everything is well organized. In terms of the hotel itself, I can recommend it. The biggest downside for me was part of the local staff. In particular, a young receptionist with a beard came across as pretentious and, at times, even slightly aggressive in the way he communicated with guests. In a hotel of this standard, I would expect a more professional and welcoming attitude. Perhaps this is partly due to fatigue caused by the huge number of tourists, but guests should not have to feel that. Interestingly, I had a much better impression of some of the foreign staff, including employees from Ukraine and Tajikistan. They were warmer, more polite, and more willing to help. I have been living in Asia for almost 20 years, so perhaps I am used to a more friendly and positive approach to customer service, which made the cold attitude of some local employees even more noticeable to me. Prague itself is still a beautiful city, but nowadays it feels extremely crowded, noisy, and heavily focused on mass tourism. I have the impression that both local residents and some service staff are simply tired of the constant tourist pressure. During this trip, in terms of atmosphere and overall comfort, Polish cities made a better impression on me. To sum up: a good and clean hotel, excellent breakfast, and a very convenient location, but some members of the local staff should definitely improve the way they communicate with guests.
