Great location, car parking -pretty messy and a bit complicated

shower kept changing pressure and temperature, went from freezing to scalding hot and i kept getting burned, having to step out every minute or so

Food in restaurant was good, staff were friendly, reasonable location, room was clean and bed was comfy

The sink is outside the bathroom and the shower is tiny. The internet cut out during an important meeting

Great location and overall value for money

Late check-out was agreed upon by the staff at the time of check-in (check-out can be extended till 12 free, beyond this it would be charged NZD 20 per hour), but at the last moment, it was declined.

No breakfast; but dinner was excellent.

There was no parking for Novotel, in fact, the car could not even drive up to the hotel. All luggage had to be taken in from the roadside (quite a long way across a public square with people everywhere) in a ‘kinda’ space for dropping off & loading to multiple hotels - 1 bus with a trailer & it was full. In fact, we couldn’t even find that after driving around the block 5 times - the bus was in the spot so the little temporary sign couldn’t be seen. In the end, cold & dark about 8pm - as our plane from Sydney was late) my husband parked the car illegally & walked in to find out what to do. We ended up paying $25 (I think it was) for the hotel staff to put the car ‘somewhere’ after we removed the luggage. The staff member was lovely & as helpful as possible. A strange arrangement for a top hotel!

Everything. The room was very comfortable, warm, quite. The property was very close and handy to where we needed to be. The reception staff where super friendly and helpfull. Dinner at the restaurant was super yum and great value. The breakfast was a great start to each day.

good location, room was ok

We relied on room service a lot and it was poor, food was ok, but often not hot, usually not on two plates even though it was obvious two people were ordering food, had to ask for two napkins, two sets of silverware, etc. Delivery people were nice and it was obviously not their fault. Eggs were either undercooked (raw whites) or overcooked and cold. Dinner the same, often cold when delivered.

Excellent location. Close to eateries, bars entertainment and tourist sites.
