Roads to place is asking for patience.

I'm a wildlife photographer and author and I had an excellent stay at Leatherback Lodge. It's comfortable accommodation with good food in a beautiful location. The owners, Nella and Neville were very helpful giving advice on how to explore the island and arranging trips to see the Leatherback turtles and visit places like Nariva Wetlands and Caroni Swamp. I would definitely recommend it to people looking to enjoy the wildlife of Trinidad.

The property is a beautiful, tucked away haven for vacationers and locals alike. The rooms were accommodating and spacious with a veranda and seating overlooking the back of the lush property. Each room had its own private bath. This lodge took us away from the grind of everyday life any time of day.

We love this property and have no objections.

Neville and Nella are the best hosts you can imagine, they make sure that you are comfortable in every way, every night a delicious freshly home cooked meal. The rooms are great, spacious and have everything you need. If you want to escape the hassle from the city, this is your place!

Hosts were great! Food was good! I enjoyed being on the grounds and birdwatching. Very relaxing.

The drive was a bit challenging but was doable.

Clean, beautiful, close to nature, friendly! And we LOVED their dogs Benny and Dottie and their cat, Rio, too!! Neville and Nella were incredible hosts! Bella’s cooking was off the charts and Neville’s hospitality around local resources and knowledge was super helpful. We highly recommend Leatherback Lodge!

I liked the friendly welcome of the hosts. Good advice on where to visit helped us visit places we had never been to or thought about. We felt at home.
