location is great! It is walking distance to city centre and 10 min to zoo :) it is very quite even though the traffic street is nearby. No stairs - easy to use baby trolley. clean an comfortable. very friendly and helpful owner

Very friendly owners that offered airport transfers. Fresh fruit, juice and yoghurt provided for breakfast (although the photo of the English breakfast is slightly misleading and this is not included) The studio has a superb location as it is quite centric and amenities and metro very close-by. Superb shower

Very noisy, you can hear everything including creaking floors and stairwell. Not the comfiest bed, the mattress is quite dented from use and needs changed

Our host was very helpful and friendly. We were given very good directions to the property and offered transportation to the airport, which we accepted, at the end of our stay. There was plenty of room, with a good sized and comfortable bed. The location was good. It was quiet and comfortable.

1. No windows, no way to ventilate the room, no air conditioning. To ventilate, open the front door. Opposite the apartment is the largest psychiatric facility that treats complex addiction problems. 2. There is no way to control the temperature in the room. Only the landlord can. 3. The description of the apartment says a bedroom and a living room. As a result, 1 studio room 15 m by 3 m 4. The bed is next to the gas stove. 5. The mattress is heavily pressed through. 6 There is a closet - it is unpleasant to use it, old and dirty. 7 The sofa is not the same as in the description. Covered in rags 8 No soundproofing. You can hear how the owner opens his apartment, walks, he lives upstairs. 9 There was an arrangement for a transfer from the airport. we waited 30 min. The owner of the apartment did not wait for us and left, citing poor health and other matters. But at the same time, he demanded to pay him for the transfer. On the day of arrival, it was impossible to contact the owner of the apartment by phone, the phone was switched off. the connection was after 30 minutes of waiting in the cold via booking messages.

Very nice apartament and great located

Lovely spacious apartment close to the centre of Amsterdam. Apartment has a nice warm feel and great bathroom. The apartment is only 1 main room with a bathroom so suitable for 2 adults and perhaps 2 children only.

The apartment is on the ground floor and has no noise insulation to the floor above or outside road. Therefore you hear everything (including Richard taking a shower at 6am). You hear every step and every sound from above (Richard is a whistler). You would have thought the owner above you would have been considerate. Even a little. The breakfast consisted of 3 small fruit bowls with yoghurt and fresh juice. Some bread or pastries would have been nice.

It was a very nice stay. Very spacious. It was very near the university U-bahn stop. It was close to a lot of museums. the description said it had a washer along with a full kitchen. we assumed it was a dishwasher. They had a dishwasher AND a clothes washer. Richard was very gracious and exactly what one would look for at a rental property!

Well connected location, still rather central (5 min by bike to almost anywhere), host was very friendly and helpful, fridge was already full with stuff for breakfast (fruits, granola, yogurt, bread,...) when we arrived! Beds were OK

Cute apartment in a great location in Amsterdam. Lovely hosts who provided nice touches throughout the apartment.

We like the convenience of the location and the local amenities close to the property. The property is located on the ground floor, so no stairs to climb especially if you have a lot of bags. The host was gracious and welcomed us with a bowl of fruits and a lovely bottle of red wine. Bonus: also being warmly welcomed by good boy Bob the dog (he lives upstairs). It was a pleasure to cook in the retro inspired and fully equipped kitchen. The beds and sofa are super comfy and cozy too. We took a night stroll along the beautiful canal and it was safe. The property is beautiful and true to the pictures posted in the profile description.

Wish we had more days to spend at GH Amsterdam. Locking/ unlocking and opening the door from the inside was a bit of a challenge, but manageable and definitely not a deal breaker.

Great location - next to the metro station and close to the center of Amsterdam. Great apartment layout and interior. Also very clean. Very friendly owner and smooth communication.

was lovely and clean, beds very comfy and kitchen well equipped

the shower was a problem, the drain seemed to block very quickly so after being in the shower for only a few minutes the water was flooding out of the bathroom door. made it difficult to have a proper shower. Also got a phone call from the owner to complain about the noise, we were listening to music and having a drink before going out, not ideal so would probably opt for a hotel next time.

Loved the owners, super nice and helpful! Their dog is adorable. Nice fruit, yogurt and bread welcome package. Decent location, 25 minute walk (or 10 minute Uber ride) to city center which didn’t bother us! Great restaurant (Caliente) at end of the street. Washing machine came in handy! Huge bonus, there was a fan in the apartment!

The wifi was horrendous. One BIG thing any traveler wants is good internet. Sometimes it would cut out totally, it was slow even when working fine. Shows would stop and have to buffer to play. Awful. Also, I think it should be disclosed to potential renters (esp those with young kids) that you WILL see addicts stumbling in the street and on the sidewalk across the street. There is a mental healthy and addiction place directly across from this apartment. Being an ER nurse, this didn’t bother me but if I was a lay person with young kids, I’d be put off by this detail. With this situation, you certainly couldn’t open your door wide open for air movement and there are NO windows in the apartment. You could tell appliances and such weren’t always wiped down well, there was a film on some things. Also, we bought ice cream and wanted to put it in the freezer but it smelled like death when we opened it. That was super gross.

Great communication with the owner. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Yoghurt, fruits and welcome beers in the fridge were a nice surprise! We would definitely stay here again 😊

Fabulous location to explore from. Well stocked kitchen and the fresh fruit for breakfast was a great treat. Very comfortable apartment and perfect with lots of space. Friendly hosts who are quick to reply to messages.

It was a nice little apartment that was a nice home away from home. It was a good location, an easy walk to the zoo. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was good.

The apartment needs a little TLC. The dishwasher doesn't work, and so some of the kitchen items were a bit grubby. The shower didn't drain well and so the bathroom flooded; the roof leaked a bit in the rain; there was a ladder and a few other similar items stored in one corner, which was a bit ugly and unfortunate. It just needs a bit of TLC to make the place a 10/10

Apartment was perfect for us, very clean and had everything we need (hairdryer, hair straightener, expresso machine, fridge). Supermarket and bakery close by. The metro station is just across the street. Would certainly recommend this for a couple, close to restaurants and cafes. Richie was an amazing host and answered all our questions, even picked us up from the airport and dropped us early to the airport when we were leaving!

The studio is light and spacious. With a personal entrance it makes you feel like your own home away from home. And the breakfast was lovely!!

the house is perfect for a couple, clean and equipped with everything you need. supermarket 5 minutes by walk and the metro station across the street (3 stops from the central station) quiet and non-chaotic location, rich is a super host, highly recommended
