I booked this place for 4 colleagues, and had a good look around the place first. Plus ate there. We ended using the place for all our suppers and meetings. The staff are very helpful and the owners accommodating. While I've always stayed elsewhere in Alta Gracia for personal reasons, I'm tempted to stay here next time, as it is quiet, clean and well situated. Just opposite is the Puma Centre Information and Guides site in the oldest building in Alta Gracia, and it's only 1 block from the central square. Definitely the best place in Altra Gracia for a work trip, or for tourists.

Well, This is Alta Gracia, so you can't have Luxury, swimming pools etc. But that would be missing out on the rural beauty of this side of Isla de Ometepe. I din not like NOT staying there, next time I'll take preference over my colleagues.

The room was incredibly clean and comfortable, including the bathroom. The hostel offers breakfast for their guests, you can also eat and drink in the hostal-owned restaurant/bar. The location is good, you can go to the center of Altagracia in a few minutes, or go to the beach (20 minutes). They also have a nice guide who offers Volcano tours to you. On a sunday there are not many buses so the only possibility is to take the hard La Sabana path to the Concepcíon, which is close to Altagracia.

Maybe I had just a bit bad luck since I was there on a weekend. But in the nights there is loud music in the own bar so sleeping can be difficult. But that might be different during the week. I was a bit confused that I could not lock my room from outside. Turning the key to right or left will open the door, if you don't use the key you can also open the door. 🤨 So I always took my valuables with me. Not the hostel but the city: Altagracia doesn't have many options for own tours. If you want to rent a motorcycle or a Scooter, you need to rent them in Moyogalpa.

fans are noisy but it is not a main issue, rooms may get some noise from street but not much

Handy location in nice village there's a bar. Rooms were spacious and had 2 fans nice area outside room to sit. Area to hang clothes

Food was a little more expensive for area

It is in the side of the island where there are not eny tourists and the locals are super friendly.

Good staff. Comfortable rooms . Good breakfast. Quiet place for a good sleep
