Staff very friendly, great breakfast, very clean
Our room had no window, well there was one but you could not open it because it was in front a very passing corridor so it was dark all the time, couldn’t see if it was day or night but other than that everything was fine

El desayuno es delicioso. Totalmente recomendado.

100% recomendado

The location was great and the staff very helpful and always had a smile! The breakfast was delicious.
The water pressure on the top floor was bad for one of the days, but that may not have been in the hotel's control.

breakfast, staff and location were all amazing.
unfortunately the great location of the hotel also means nearby clubs and bars with loud noise late at night. not the hotel’s fault but something to consider when booking.

The location was great inside the walled city. The staff members, especially Diana at reception, were welcoming and kind. The common rooms and the room were spotless. The breakfast was good, with warm options made to order. The king-size bed was firm, the pillows soft and the linens smooth and comfy. The room wasn't huge but the space was well-organized so it was easy to store stuff. The rooftop pool was small but refreshing and felt private.
My only complaint isn't something the hotel can do much about - and that was the booming, loud music blasting in the nearby plaza until 1 a.m. or later. One night it ended mercifully at 11 p.m. so that wasn't too bad. We had one of the quieter rooms far from the street facing an interior courtyard but even so, I was grateful for the hum of the A/C to get to sleep. If you love a late night yourself or never have insomnia it won't be an issue for you. Or you can use a white sound app on your device.

We stayed here for one night. The location is perfect, in the heart of the old center. The staff was great and helped us navigate around and gave some relevant tips for the neighbourhood. The breakfast was delicious and the room comfy.
Pool area isn't really sunny in the afternoon.

Very noisy while we were there at night during the weekend, however the friendly staff went out to the shop for us to buy earplugs

Great breakfast and roof pool was super nice.
The room had no windows and was a bit weird.

We stayed in five hotels across Colombia and ten across the americas. This one was the second most expensive but the least impressive.
The room we had was spacious, yet had NO WINDOWS, which was quite claustrophobic although neither my partner nor myself have such phobia. We asked for an alternative room, however, the one they offered us was too small, so we were stuck with the window-less room for 3 nights. Having a room without a window should be disclosed clearly when booking the room. This is not something that I was at the look out for when booking a hotel with such price.
Also, the hotel staff NOT THE MOST WELCOMING. In other hotels we were often greeted with a smile or hello when passing by hotel staff but that wasn’t the case in this hotel. I am not being too picky here but it’s important to feel welcomed, especially when on vacation.
The breakfast is also average, but not a big deal.
In a nutshell, value for money is pretty low here specially with a city like Cartagena where you have better options. On our way back from Baru island, we stayed in another hotel for half the price and absolutely loved it!

- The room is very good, with air conditioning and looking historical,
- The beds are very comfy
- Breakfast was fresh and delicious
- The staff was extremely friendly and careful, also with the corona measures
- The hotel is in right in the old city of Cartagena and full with life, it didn't matter hearing the music of the old town a little late in the night
- Very good place to relax after spending hours in the chaotic and loud old town
- The hotel looks good
- More options for breakfast would be great
- The murals of the hotel, which were in the pictures on Booking, were missing; i think if the Hotel would paint again the walls it will have an amazing atmosphere, together with the historical building
- The hotel didn't have any possibility to buy drinks/food, they only serve water/coffee outside breakfast. If you get thirsty or want a beer or something to eat you need to get out and buy it
- A little expensive for the what they general offered

Charm of the hotel, location and the little pool
We hope that the authorities of Cartegena will finally regulate the noise done by the nightclubs or it will kill the business of those nice little hotels and the charm of the old city.
