The location was great - close to the beach, restaurants, coffee shops and fabulous shops.

The room could have been cleaner and was a little dated.

We telephoned the manager of the property and they advised it was for a cleaning fee. He claimed rubbish was left. Recycling was left on the kitchen bench and unopened alcoholic beverages and eggs in the fridge for the next guests to enjoy. Property manager claimed we should have put items in the bins located in the car park. However, we were never shown where the bins were nor were we provided with any documentation indicating the same. The apartment we had could do with some TLC it's looking a bit worn in comparison to the photos on the site I was thinking we would have something a bit more modern but the facilities and location were great

Clean, comfortable and close to the beach with a 7eleven and subway on the way. One block back the other way was the Main Street with eateries, chemist, supermarket and BWS.

single beds are terribly uncomfortable. absolutely need replacement as the springs are digging into you and pillows are cheap and old. bedroom curtains need to be more sunblock/light blocking.

The pool and location

Chidori is in an ideal location and the resort grounds and facilities are great.

Kitchen was lacking some basic items ie: a baking tray for the oven would have been handy. Definitely time for the apartment owners to upgrade the living room furniture, it’s old and tired, the sofas are very dirty and at the very least need shampooing.

We wanted the freedom of bedrooms so that mum and dad could do stuff when kid went to bed. This had two bedrooms and the adults bed was actually very comfortable. Usually a cheap mattress provided but this one was firm but soft enough on top to avoid back pain. There were heaps of extra blankets and duvet covers in the closets. I didn't realize we had two bathrooms so an adult ensuite was a huge bonus. While the property is older it is well maintained and clean. The kitchen was actually well equipped with a sharp knife, veggie peeler, 3 cutting boards, heaps of cooking utensils (measuring cups too). New toaster and jug, large fridge with freezer. There was a decent washer and dryer in the main bathroom which was great for doing a mid trip wash and getting our togs and towels dry before packing up. One of the hosts made an excellent recommendation for Indian Food. There is a little supermarket within a 2 min walk on Tedder Avenue that is amazingly stocked and reasonably priced as well as good restaurants (chinese, italian, gelato). Pool was clean and hot tub nice for end of day after activities, Pool hours are 7am-9pm and son enjoyed early morning and late night (with blue glow lights) swims.

The apartments are older but unless you are quite snobby about marks who cares. the hot tub seemed to be shooting out cold water periodically and we never quite figured out how or why but it would eventually put back out hot water so not a deal breaker. There is a lot of construction in the area, demolition of properties on same street and multiple towers going up. They seemed to start between 6:30-7:00am on weekdays but it wasn't "wake you in shock" noise level. With windows closed it was quite reasonable.
