Perfect location for those waiting to fly out of Samoa. Great for freshening up before traveling. Affordable and great staff :)

staff was not welcoming, never smiled, not helpful when asked questions about locals, room was dirty, floor was not swept, no mirror, stuffy eventho the aircon was on. the sink was not working well

Location
For the money I paid there was no jug for tea, windows were dirty and the room was too tight for space. I would’ve preferred one bed and a mini fridge with tea or coffee in the room

It was close to the wharf also a van that could take us which cost $10 Tala
Heat pump needs to be cleaned when the door was opened to us the damp smell came out also there were no snacks available just tea and noodles

Noisy air conditioning, room looked like prison cell, woken up at 1am by noisy people who continued for over an hour

Left before breakfast. Bed and pillows uncomfortable. The reception tried to get more money by telling us we would be sharing a room and bathroom with others and no air conditioning. They did organise a good taxi for us though.
Would not stay there again, and would not recommend this hotel.

The place is super close to the airport and cheap as well. Enough parking space if you drop off your rental car in the next morning. Also unlike other reviews stated there was actually the promised air con in my room working perfectly fine. Actually slept better than expected.
Fulfills it’s promise but nothing more. The room is tiny and oldfashioned, but then if you just need a bed it’s fine.

Greetings brethren, Talofa lava
The hotel was very satisfied my expectations
due to the fact that it was close to the international Airport and close to wharf easy access that I can recommend. The pricing of per night meet my expectations and in the moderate level.
The things that I like as follow:
(1) The motel should have provided individuals electric kettle in each room.
(2) The bathroom tap should have supplied hot and cold water for shower.
(3) The motel should have what apps number.
(4) The motel should have emailed address used as contact in terms of easy communication.
Thanks
Fa'afetai
Kindly regards

No toothbrush on the toilet and there is no TV or wi-fi in the room.

Didn’t like anything about this place and I only stayed because it was near the airport(about 3 kms away)and I had an early morning flight.
It was overpriced, dirty shower and no hot water it was just lukewarm, the air conditioner was old and very noisy, the fridge in the room didn’t work properly, the tap in the sink was leaning to the left and not connected securely to the basin so you had to hold the tap with one hand while turning in on with the other hand. The room was drab and dingy.

Nice clean room with fan and aircon. Close to airport, with restaurant. Best fish we had in Samoa (mahimahi).
Pool was green and out of action.

I stayed at Transit for several nights before and after a sporting event. I was worried based on the bad reviews but didn't need to be at all, the rooms were much nicer than expected. The rooms are clean, comfortable, well thought out, and the staff are lovely. The aircon works really well and there are nice little touches; even the budget room has a bedside lamp which I really appreciated.
I stayed in both the budget double, and the standard queen rooms. The budget double is absolutely fine for a night or two but it's worth upgrading to the standard room if you can as it's quite a big jump in size of room & comfort. I can only compare Transit to one other place I stayed in Samoa and definitely found Transit to be more comfortable and better value.
Also the dog (Brownie) is absolutely adorable! (But don't worry, he's quiet and will leave you alone unless you actively go to talk to him).
The place can be a bit noisy at night but I knew this in advance and just took earplugs so that it wasn't a problem.

Near to the Apia airport, best if you arrive in the night time to Apia.
Good for one night stay, because of the distance from the Apia airport, but not for more nights stay in my opinion. Older and really small rooms, but staff is great and really helpfull.

We didn't have breakfast but dinner was good. Location is good close to airport and wharf to Savaii and they offer free transportation 🙂
Our room was not cleaned well there were stains on the sheets and we found a baby's bottle with rotten milk behind the bed 😕 Wish they had mosquito coils as we had mosquitos in our room.

I thought the hotel was better than expected and good price. The pool was good.
Noise with people coming and going though it really wasn't bad and for long periods of time.

There was no breakfast. I was told dining room opened at 8am. I sat outside the restaurant waiting till 8.15 , ignored by office staff arriving for work. Totally disinterested in me. Finally another staff member informed me the kitchen opens at 4pm and asked had I ordered breakfast. This option was not explained to me. Or that the dining room even existed. She directed staff to help me by opening a coconut i had luckily so i had something yo eat. He never smiled and seemed to begrudge the task. I asked for boiling water as i also had my own coffee to drink.
The previous day I asked on arriving the location of the neighboring hotel and my intention to walk there (i arrived by public transportation) to eat. Yes, it is 10 mins across the road, then approximately half hour walk. I left after dark and started to walk. A kind man stopped me after I had asked directions telling me too far at night and not safe. Back to Transit Motel tired and confused then realized part of the owners house is also a restaurant. No signs anywhere, no written information at reception or in room in English with facilities or opening hours. Unhelpful reception staff who are only interested in taking money and not in making my stay pleasant or meeting basic needs like food. So Unhelpful and not caring. A very sad way to end 9 great days in Somoa. I stayed as close to airport. 20 Tala (about 16 NZ $) to be driven 4mins max to airport. Driver obviously sick, coughing, runny nose, wiping on his hands then lifting my baggage. At least wear a mask. He also appeared to begrudge assisting me. Yes I had booked cheapest room at 75 Tala but it shouldn't mean I get mean spirited treatment and left to sink or swim with no care from reception staff who have the knowledge. I felt like an inconvenience rather than a guest.
Broken bathroom fixtures.
Ceiling fan placed over light bulb so lighting had a strobe effect- hard to read. No knob on fan control. Being charged 4 Tala at night for bottle of water and 5 Tala the next day. No written prices in reception for anything.
When I booked the price was in NZ dollars (about $45 /48) from memory. Then payment in Tala $75 and staff unable to tell me exchange rate and price was something to do with using my credit card. Again very confusing.

Nothing, I deeply regret having booked there ...
The location was not the one indicated on the map and much further from the airport than expected, the fare for the airport shuttle was really pricey for a 5 min drive, the staff was not friendly.
The room was an awful discovery on check-in...felt like a prison cell literally...! Dirty, beyond small, not even a bin, a mirror or a mini fridge, dirty towel, dirty floor, awkward fan underneath the bright light bulb making the only lighting feel like a club strobe.. bathrooms at the end of the corridor weren't better standard than all this... And obviously no wifi either..

Close to airport
Smelly, noisy, pool too filthy to use, being woken up at 4am by staff knocking on the wrong door

Reception is open 24/7. The room was okay, nothing special but quite clean. The room/bathroom didn't smell (as mentioned from a few other users). Also the bathroom was quite clean - okay for one night, wouldn't stay there longer
Unfortunately the property doesn't fulfill the one aspect that it should - being so close to the airport that you can walk. Online it looks way closer than it is, you can't really walk there and the shuttle is 20 Tala each direction. Two out of three towels were dirty. The AC is really loud.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, quiet location.
Towels had marks all over, needed bleaching, not clean.
