-The uncomfortable beds. -No curtains to darken the room. In April it was already bright in the room from 2 am, so it was difficult to sleep well. -The restaurant. The food and especially the staff were excellent. However, there was virtually no choice and some of the menus were not available. Not acceptable as it is the only food option far and wide. -Quite disappointed as it was a very long journey to reach the resort at all. Definitely expected more...

Ruime kamer met lekker bedje en zitje. Mooi uitzicht op de zee en de bergen. Goed ontbijtbuffet. Onze gids tijdens de sneeuwschoenwandeling , Bes was super! Hij deed het erg leuk en nam de tijd voor ons. We kwamen 3 kwartier later terug dan oorspronkelijk de bedoeling was, dus geen gehaast maar er gewoon een leuke ervaring van maken. Top!

Het personeel was wat stug. €150 euro betalen om gebruik te mogen maken van de jacuzzi. Kan alleen privé geboekt worden, even een kwartiertje erin kan niet. Ook betalen voor de sauna. Dat zou gezien de prijzen gewoon bij het verblijf in moeten zitten. De menukaart in het restaurant is te klein. Er staan maar 6 hoofdgerechten op, 2 vis, 2 vlees en 2 vegetarisch. Als je hier meerdere dagen verblijft is de keuze dus niet groot. In de omgeving is er verder niets waar je kan eten. Dichtstbijzijnde was 1 uur rijden. De slede tocht met de husky’s viel tegen. Voor €175,- p.p. Zou de toch van 13:30 tot 17:30 uur duren inclusief snack. We kregen om 13:30 onze kleding en een korte uitleg in een kantoortje. Vervolgens moesten we 20 minuten een stijle berg oplopen om bij de honden te komen. Voor ons geen probleem qua conditie maar oudere mensen zullen het hier zwaar hebben. Voor het geld dat je betaald kunnen ze ook even een busje op en neer laten rijden. Vervolgens kwamen we aan en moest iedereen direct de slee in. Geen extra instructies meer, maar direct gehaast van start. De gids was erg gehaast en ook best stug. Af en toe maakte hij wat grapjes maar we hadden het idee dat hij haast had en zo snel mogelijk weer terug wilde. De toch zelf duurde maar 45 minuten en toen waren we alweer terug. Even snel ergens een fotostop tussendoor maar verder was het gewoon doorgaan. Zonde! Bij terugkomst kregen we in een schuurtje een kop thee en een koekje. Geen snack wat wel op de site stond. Ook geen leuk kampvuurtje zoals bij de sneeuwschoenwandeling. We konden nog wat langs de hokken van de honden lopen en wat vragen stellen. Ze hadden ook puppy’s van een paar weken oud en daar konden we ook even kijken, dat was leuk. Uiteindelijk waren we om 15:30 uur klaar met alles en konden we zelfstandig weer teruglopen naar het hotel. Voor hetzelfde geld hadden we in Lapland een tour van een hele dag met de husky’s, kampvuur, lunch en de rust om de Tour te doen. Dit leek op snel geld verdienen.

The room was absolutely amazing, big enough, incredible view, comfortable, clean. All of the activities offered by the resort were great. The whole area is stunning and it’s the greatest pleasure walking around. The husky sledding in particular is an awesome experience in some beautiful landscapes and the dogs are really well taken care of and loved.

The restaurant had pretty few options and the desserts in particular were not so good, but the mains were great. Also, the so called ‘hot meals’ from the activities were in fact hot chocolate and biscuits so plan accordingly.

My recent stay at Malangen Resort was nothing short of exceptional. Malangen Resort's location is a unique blend of tranquility and natural beauty. Nestled away from the city, it offers a peaceful retreat that's about an hour's drive from Tromsø. The spaciousness of the standard double room was a pleasant surprise. The room's design, especially the use of a glass wall, allowed me to feel truly connected to the surroundings, even from the comfort of my bed. The panoramic views of the sea, with a majestic mountain backdrop, are a sight to behold. Prior to my check-in, I had some queries, and the staff promptly and efficiently addressed them via Booking.com. Upon arrival, the hotel staff were exceptionally polite and courteous, making me feel welcome. Dining at the hotel's restaurant was a delight. As vegetarians, we were pleased to find an array of delicious options that catered to our dietary preferences.

Fantastic view from apartments window and balcony. Nice apartment, peacefull environment.

Apartment was very hot when we arrived because all the windows did not have proper curtains and it was warm weather. But we put balcony door and windows open all the night and it helped a lot. Dinner in a restaurant was a bit disappointment and waiters dis not even asked how the food was. I think there was some new waiters and understand if they were not so professional. Terrace was nice so experience was not so bad.

Very beautiful place. Big room. Very clean. Excellent restaurant.
